Limahgirl: Butter brands available in most supermarkets are: lurpark, President, kerry gold, oldenburger, anchor etc. All these have salted and unsalted variations. Be sure to select the unsalted one for your baby. As to your baby being underweight, have you checked with a pead to ensure you are addressing the root cause? Cheers. |

eolowu1: The affected areas look very dry and scaly. It is most likely as a result of sweat. A good amount of sheabutter and baby tribotan works well. Don't hesitate to see a pediatrician too so you can be sure on appropriate treatment. |

Rbae: Why wait till Thursday? Today is just Monday o.. Silverbird(eucalyptus oil is an essential oil and very potent too) never administer essential oils directly on the skin. Even when mixing with carrier oils, a drop or two is ok. Again, check if its cradle cap too. You can apply plenty oil(i use coconut oil) and then comb out. wash with baby hair shampoo afterwards. when you are less busy, go thru past posts on this thread prior to when you joined. Note down what has worked and what hasn't in different scenarios. You will learn a thing or two. (That's what i did) 2 Likes |

Stmema: Good evening mama. What complimentary foods have you tried introducing to him? You have to keep varying it till you discover what he enjoys. Tombrown from zaynie, AS foods, babygrubz foods have had good recommendations from mamas here fruit purees, mashed potato etc is usually a hit with babies too. The quantity they usually eat at his age is not so much during each meal so just take it gradually. Start him on formula milk if you havent so he doesnt depend solely on BM. For teething pains, give him calpol paracetamol. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Nabie: is she running temperature at intervals? Have you tried steam inhalation or nasal drops too? since she's not taking any meal, that's a sign of discomfort and loss of appetite. I will advice you take her to the hospital and run tests for malaria and infection so the doctor can prescribe the right medication. cheers |

tabithaola: I guessed right. That putting soap in middle of the sponge na big waste. You are washing off the soap with water at the same time you want it to lather. Sebamed doesnt work that way even the one used by adults. The soap gets soft and kinda melts when it is covered up in the soap case so its better to leave the soap case open so it gets dry. Cheers |

tabithaola: Do you air dry the soap in its case or you cover it up after using? Just wet your sponge, rub the soap on the sponge so it can lather well, return soap to its case and then bathe baby. 3wks is too short o even if you use it morning and night. we have been using ours max 3MONTHS. |

Linda2019: You don't need to beat him because of him refusing food pls. 8months old for that matter. He may not like the taste of what you have been giving him for now. Babies are funny, what they seem to enjoy taking this week may be utterly rejected the following week. it seems you haven't prepared him for creche because he needs to have one or two foods he will readily eat even if he rejects others. Is he taking milk formula apart from breastmilk? Have you tried fruit purees for him? e.g apple, banana etc. There are other naija baby food brands that can also try.AS and the likes pls wear patience like agbada if you want to feed a baby. It can be annoying and frustrating yet bear with your baby. He will improve with time. 5 Likes |

Stmema: Considering the bolded, it suggests to me that his diaper gets soooo filled up with urine before you deem it fit to change. If my assumption is right then there's no way the diaper wont leak no matter the quality of diaper you are using. Again, urine can equally irritate the skin if it stays too long so please endeavour to check his diaper often at least every 3-4hrs and change it if necessary. Too much heat sef can cause rashes. Endeavour to also air his bum for like 30mins when you reach home. 1 Like |

irene670: Both methods are ok. One of the difference of the two is that the ring/plastibell method involves having a cap on the pe.nis after the surgery and you will have to wait till it comes off by itself usually within 3-7days. This method looks neater in my opinion. The other conventional method has the pe.nis bare after the surgery so it is usual for one to get bothered about diaper touching it. For whichever method used. The pain is real and the aftercare is very important. You will be appropriately guided by the doctors and nurses. 2 Likes |

kayzat: Daddy don't be confused. Everything will be fine. Look for another good creche nearby to save on transportation costs. While baby is in the creche, your wife will find it easier to look for another job or take classes to upgrade her skills or even plan to set up her own enterprise. All the best. 1 Like |

Try to air your baby's bum for 30mins-1hr daily. Make sure diaper is changed as soon as it gets soiled i.e. dont leave it on for too long. Make use of baby tribotan for the rash. Instead of agnesia powder, i will suggest diaper/barrier creams such as sudocrem, zin&castor oil, blue seal vaseline and the likes cc. Mumifortune 1 Like |

HolySteph: At the High court, those typists outside will help you type cos they already have the formats on their laptops( you only need to give them your details) but insist on taking the printed copy inside the court by yourself to have it stamped by the commissioner of oaths. Go along with your passport photos. Its virtually the same process at alausa too. The commissioner of oaths office is right behind the ministry of justice and those that help with typing are under a tree close by. |

HolySteph: High court @ikeja very close to the General hospital. You can also do it at the Ministry of Justice @ The secretariat, alausa ikeja. It will cost you btw #800 - #1000 for typing and signing by the commissioner of oaths. |
