Good evening ma'am thanks for the info please I'm interested in this part how do I know the vaccines my baby is due for cos my next appointment is when my baby will be 12wks, have had two already at WK one and six I never knew there's difference in the vaccines

It is written inside your immunisation card. there is a column for baby's age and the corresponding vaccine is written in another column beside it.
see attached pic.

How do someone prepare babies for immunization? What are the necessary things to do before and after the immunization

Before:
1) Ensure baby is feeling well. If treating any sickness, be sure to notify the nurses so they can advise better on taking the immunisation that day or reschedule for another day.

2) have your paracetamol syrup on hand. You can give immediately after being injected or wait till you get home. Babies cry most times after taking injections so you may need to breastfeed to pacify your baby.

3) dont forget your immunisation card at home. Note the vaccines you are due for and make sure you are vigilant so a wrong vaccine is not administered to your baby.

4) take a sheet of newspaper along. You will need to use it as a protection cover in the scale bowl before putting your baby on the scale for weighing.

After:
5) baby may be very cranky and the temperature may run high due to immunisation fever, give paracetamol and pet the baby well.

6). If immunisation site becomes swollen, don't rub or massage. It will go down on its own. You can also wrap ice-block in a napkin and gently place on the site.

7) save the date for your next immunisation as a reminder on your phone so you dont forget.

Cheers.

In the language section, can I submit my WAEC certificate as proof of proficiency in English language?

Just want to be sure.
Thanks a lot.

It depends on what you are applying for. Since English is our official language in Nigeria, some organisations overlook the proof of proficiency.

I will suggest you ask on their twitter/fb page to get a more reliable answer.

I observe rashes-like on my dd on Thursday, I observed the rashes come together to form a sort of layer. mothers around me said is NRA/ NLA..... have been apply baby tribaton missed with small Shea butter (ori) but seems the thing is not responding or am i impatient?
please what else should I do.
please eeee

Post a picture of it.
Meanwhile a lot of factors come into play when dealing with rashes on babies.

It could be reactions to bathing soap, oil/lotion, laundry detergent not rinsed out completely from clothes, weather etc.

you can visit the hospital so they give you appropriate medication to treat it if need be.

if nra/nla is the same as eela as the yorubas call it then get the red flower plant called acalypha from herbsellers. Wash and boil the leaves. The water drawn from the boiled leaves is mixed with the bathing water meant for your baby. It works too.

Our Father in Heaven, we glorify your name and we bow down before you.

You are so good and perfect in all your ways. You made the world and everything that is in it for your own good pleasure.

Who are we that you are so mindful of us? So many times we have compromised our faith in you and even doubted your love for us because there have been times it looked like we are the only ones you haven't visited.

Dear Father, inspite of all the turmoil our hearts go through, deep down within us, we know you are there and watching over us.

Here we are again in your presence seeking that you hear our cries and grant us gracious children from your throne of mercy.

Without faith it is impossible to please you o Lord, we ask that you grant to us the gift of living faith that receives answers to prayers.

Father, manifest your power in our lives, many people are waiting for our testimonies.
Your grace is sufficient for us, please make your strength perfect in our weakness (body, soul and spirit).

We declare that we are joyful mothers and fathers of great children.
We thank you as we hold on your word that never fails.
Take all the glory in Jesus name. Amen.

my LO is 5 months and he doesn’t poop frequently.. sometimes once in a week or twice but that has changed in the last 2 days now. He poops at least 5 times in day, watery and sometimes green in color. He had some whiteish patch in his mouth, so I got him bonjela and that has been cleared. Please mamas in the house, is that a sign of teething ?

All you described are not signs of teething. Please see a doctor so he can be tested and treated appropriately.

gud evening mommas, dis is my third post pls help me chuk mouth as previous ones were ignored.
my baby girl is nt adding weight o, she was 4.0 at birth,& chubby but nw she's looking lepa and her bones re strong lyk a 4months old baby, at 6weeks she weeks she weighed 4.9kg, am thinking of supplementing my breastmilk with formula although am lactating well but don't no wots wrong

How old is your baby presently?
Not all babies are chubby. Inherited genes from parents also play a role.
Nurturing a healthy baby should be your paramount goal.
As a rule, your baby should have doubled her birth weight by 6months.
So, just make sure you are making progress when you chart the weight on your immunisation card.

Even if you are lactating well, how well does your baby feed and at what intervals?
You can express your milk to know the quantity she feeds on per time before you decide to supplement with formula.

Good morning able mummies and rugged daddies in the house. I am awake by this time 2 am because I am seeking solution to my babies ailment.
Last week it started with vomiting then moved on to stooping and vomiting. Thank God we didn't loose her. We later rushed to the hospital on Friday, were I.V fluids were administered for days. Vomiting is no longer there, stooling is still there but not so watery anymore but there is this infrequent fever that comes and go.
I ran a test when she was admitted and result came back malaria ++ and she is teething. After some days of treatment i did another test, malaria not significantly seen. But there is the fever and not so strong stool. In my eyes she looks weak, and no longer cries her lungs out like before.
I must add that I tried local treatment just for 24hrs before reverting back to Orthodox and am not willing to go that route again.
Please help my baby.
(she is 7 months old)
NB
Does these things actually exist....Nla/Nra/Akpafor/Okpo etc

She will get better. Stomach bugs can get one so weak.
Enque, pls confirm that raw pap method for stopping stool pls.
Keep her well hydrated too. Thank God she's eating well already.
I hope she was adequately treated for infections too.

do take care.

Yes u need the license first from the LG closest to the Church u r wedding before the wedding is conducted. That's when the 21 days notice would be put up before the license is given to you. Some churches do not wed in all their dioces/regions/branch, they have specific branches that has been licensed to carry out weddings eg the zonal/regional branches.etc My cHurch only gave me one copy of the marriage certificate self. When I asked for the second copy, they told me they would help me forward it to the LG themselves.

Thanks sis. The bolded validated what i was thinking.
AdaYoung, just clarify from the church before taking any step again.

If it's Assemblies then it should be licensed o. Na old church nah

Same thing i thought of but it's possible they are not and just issued their church's marriage certificate as against the one by the federal rep. of Nigeria.

Im also thinking that if the church is actually licensed, maybe they submit copies of issued certificates on behalf of the wedded couples each month.

In the Anglican church, a pre-requisite is to get the license first before the church will go ahead with the wedding. If you mistakenly collect certificate peken in my diocese, na church blessing dem go do for person.

I did church wedding in AG in Sept last year, but i want to get the court cert, please how do i go about this?

You can only have one marriage certificate issued to you.

In addition to what b.arag wrote, confirm from your church if they are licensed but from the look of things, they aren't.

Visit the marriage registry in nearest local govt to you and make enquires about the latest requirement.

cheers.

Oh Thank you so much.

An official in one of the Lg marriage registry in Lagos said there's a fine but was not willing to disclose the amount. I was told they also give returns to their ogas at the top.

From what i could deduce, the so called 'fine' is not official so you just need to negotiate with the officer so you can submit.

cheers. Journey mercies when you travel.

Good day mamas in the house... una well done.

My question now is... is it possible to apply down in Lagos? What are the process and procedures? Durations? Possibility of getting it so soon..
Affidavit too?

Please help me out here. Thanks in anticipation.

If your church is licensed to conduct a wedding then what you were given in church is the marriage certificate. 2 copies must have been issued so you need to submit one of the copies to the lg registry where you initially registered. Nothing will be issued again.

If your church isn't licensed, then it is the registry that will issue you a certificate which must have been done prior to church wedding in most cases.

I wedded in an Anglican church too and the procedure was
-Registering in the lg registry
-After 21 days, a marriage license was issued which was taken to the church
-Wedding conducted
-A copy of certificate was returned to the registry for filing.

Nothing more.

I am guessing the woman just wanted money for pepsi and fanta.
I'll try and help you find out tomorrow if there's a fine for a case like yours.

Cheers.

my boy didn't get three month immunization, he will clock six in few days can I collect three month for him or should I wait for some days to collect six month immunization for him?

First, a baby's age is calculated in weeks till 6months on the immunisation schedule.

Go with your boy's immunisation card and let the nurses know the last time he got vaccinated.

He will be given his missed shots and then a new date for the next immunisation will be given to you.
