On New year Eve, instead of saying happy new year to me, they deducted 100 naira from my balance and I needed it then and this has continued. Even when they don't see up to 100 naira, they will deduct 50 naira. Can't even reach them on the customer care line. Please end all subscriptions on this line please, 08104700824. stonekc: i want to bring to the notice of the public and the mtn officials the unprofessional and criminals acts been perpetuated at mtn office ughelli ccentre.Last week, i was there to do a welcome back, the sum of 650 naira was charged by the staffs, and no airtym was given nor added to d sim, i aked politely why i was been charged such an amount, instead of answering me, i received a barrage of insults, the sim i went to receive was not working properly, i went back there and the the staff almost fought me. from my own private investigation,i found out that has been their pattern, extorting customers unneccesarily not only that their customer service is nothing to write home about, they are unprofessional.yesterday i went to the mtn office close to allen roundabout, the difference was clearer than 7 up,the service was so professional,the staffs were very competent and i was well attended to, i was charged 150 naira (for the same welcome back pack that i was charged 650 in Ughelli) and my sim is now working perfectly.

LilChamp: Hello peeps, am really confused as I'm typing this. Recently I subscribed to Mtn 'Do Not Disturb' Me package. It wasn't long I noticed I can't receive third party sms i.e bulk sms. Immediately I noticed this I quickly proceeded in deactivating it. The problem now is that I still can't receive third party messages. No job interview invites is coming in anymore. Just last week I met someone helping in securing a contract, he told me a bulk sms was sent to all the applicants. I told him I didn't receive any but he thought I was lieing. Pls what can I do to start receiving third party messages back. I have made several calls to mtn customer care and I have texted ALLOW to 2442 several time but still no solution. Rajman45: @jide, since i upgraded my sim to 4g, i have never enjoyed it for ones. i stay in port harcourt (rumuokoro). whenever i activate 4g, my network goes out off service. i have a 4g phone(LG G2), a 4g sim, and even the service provider testify to it by sending 4g to 131, but i can't use it. i was in Lagos last week (ajah, mushi VI and some part lekki ), it's still the same thing.....what's wrong ?? MrOlai: Honestly, the way MTN deducts customers' money/credits these days is unfair! MTN management know the truth and a few customers know the truth as well.
MTN started these reckless deductions just to cater for the fine pronounced on them by the Federal Government. It is not fair at all to make your customers scape goats on that basis. MTN management should sort things out with the Government instead of indirectly transferring the punishment on the customers.

Please I activated DND (Do not disturb) on my mtn line, it was then I noticed that it has stopped me from receiving bulk sms, I had to deactivate it so that I can start receiving bulk sms because of Job interview alerts & others. Now after Deactivating DND I still can't receive bulk sms, I have texted ALLOW to 2442 yet no solution.
I have also called mtn customer care, they only promise to resolve it within next 24 hours.
For like 3weeks now I have been in this mess, I have missed alot of interviews because I couldn't receive the bulk sms sent to my phone.
I also almost lost my admission because of this.
Pls I really need help. I am totally confused. This is my major line.

MTN has done this to me, not once, not even twice, and I know they are continuously doing it to many other users out there. it is annoying, and I am angry. so I've decided to narrate my ordeal, maybe you too would narrate yours, and maybe together we can all send them back to where they came from. So I checked my account balance, and a whole #200 was missing (money I was gradually saving up to subscribe with). I called them and what they told me after putting me on hold for about 20 minutes was that I am not getting a refund because it was deducted for game+, something I never subscribed for (and can never subscribe for even if I'm sleepwalking). This thing has happened before in November last year (I have a screenshot to prove it). I called them and they assured me they would cancel the nonsense subscription even without a refund, I agreed. obviously, they lied.
something of this nature happened with my etisalat sim and when I called them, the sent me my money without many talks. there are other networks and I don't even know the exact reason why I still use MTN.
I am contemplating breaking the sim card or grinding it.
