yak: plz how do I transfer airtime from one mtn line to another? it's urgent please. Hi yak, simply send SMS with Transfer, Recipient’s Number, Amount and PIN to 777. For example, you can send an SMS with ‘Transfer 0803******* 1500 1234’ to 777. Upon sending this message, you will receive an SMS asking you to confirm that you want to make the transfer by sending an SMS with 'YES' to 777. Alternatively, you can also transfer credit from your phone to another MTN customer’s phone by dialing *600*Recipient’s Number*Amount*PIN# on your phone and then click on send/press ok. For example, dial*600*08030000000*1500*1234# and then send/ok. When the transfer has been completed, you will receive a message informing you that the transfer was successful. Regards |

etebefia: It is quite unfortunate that the telecommunications companies in Nigeria pay more attention to ways of defrauding their customers than ways of improving the quality of their services, you hardly get your calls through these days what you mostly get when you dial a number is (Please wait your call is been transferred) even when the destination line is active. However that should be for another day, the attached pictures show how MTN are stealing from their customers, most times after your calls something like the picture attached will pop-up, at your slightest attempt to touch any of the listed your money will be deducted immediately (no two ways) in most cases my ears have been doing the touch es. Please I want to know the work of NCC, they pretend to be working tirelessly but we don't get to see their impact in regulating these telecommunications companies. Stealing is Stealing and stealing is corruption, MTN stop stealing our money. Hi etebefia, I am truly sorry about this experience, I wish to let you know that I currently run a thread here called the MTN Customer care https://www.nairaland.com/1379574/mtn-customer-care-thread/ where issues like this are resolved. I will appreciate if you can send me your mobile number via private message to enable me assist. Looking forward to hearing from you. Regards |

promisengr: Good day, How do i go about getting refund for the airtime deducted twice from my account. I might understand that the first deduction was partly my fault for not cancelling the auto-renewal. But i just can't accept the second deduction because i sent the stop code NO141 to 131 to prevent a re-occurrence.
To my surprise, this morning 100 was deducted again leaving 17 in my account.
With economic situation in the country, it is tough to have enough money to feed as a student and mtn is adding to my problems.
I just need my airtime back. The amount might seem little, but i need it back not withstanding
Thank You. Sorry to hear this, you can send your phone number for checks |

toolovely: I wonder why Telcos in Nigeria will never be sincere for once. MTN announced the launch of 4g LTE in some cities and knowing what the services are all about, one expected an improvement from their so called 3G network but lo, the 4G is worse than 2G. One wonders why their definition of 4G LTE. I decided to upgrade my SIM to the 4G SIM. but from the moment I did so, I've been regretting why I even thought of it in the first place. it takes about 3 to 5 minutes to open any page. It's almost like you are using 2g network.
Instead of decieving the masses, why not MTN use the resources deploy quality infrastructure for 3G services. the quality of their LTE service is an insult to 4G LTE Hi toolovely, so sorry to hear this. I will appreciate if you can send me your mobile number via private message to enable me look into this. yemmybx: I woke up this morning to see my #960 airtime turned to #860 around 7:02 this morning I received a message from 33355 that I'd successfully purchase a service and #50 has been deducted. I quickly checked my balance and saw #860. I didn't request for anything like that, how would MTN deduct my money like that on Val.
Around 9 today I dialed MTN Customer Care line '181' and one of the Customer Representatives called Adekunle picked and I explained to him. The Representative told me that #50 was deducted twice for WAZOBIA FM.
I told him that I didn't request for WAZOBIA FM on my phone , I don't understand. I told that same thing was done to me last 2weeks! I didn't apply for WAZOBIA Fm. We both argued over this and I ask for solution at least to return my airtime back and block that WAZOBIA FM things, he said no just like the response I got two weeks ago from mtn
Why is MTN deducting my airtime when I didn't applied for services I was being charged for?

Phones › Re: Mtn Nigeria Deliberately Stealing From Its Customers by JideSM: 9:46am On Feb 16, 2017 |
emmy02: I am writing this in anger as i do not have another means of expressing my frustration at MTN NIGERIA. Forgive my grammatical blunders.
Rewind to sometime last year ending, MTN removed my N50 saying i subscribed for Sky Sport, something i know very well i did not, i don't even watch ball. I kept quiet and unsubscribed from the service. A week after that happened again and another N50 was deducted for the same service i had earlier unsubscribed from, i tried reaching a customer care agent but could not and so i quietly unsubscribed again. Now, that is N100 stolen from me for nothing.
Fast forward to early this year. I bought 30MB one day data because i wanted to use it to subscribe for SME Datashare bundle. After exhausting the 30MB, i unsubscribed from autorenewal. But to my surprise MTN still removed my money the next day. I had to unsubscribe again before it worked.
And today, out of the blues, MTN sends me a text saying i have successfully subscribed for 30MB one day plan. I have about 430MB Sme Data, and so i did not. I have tried reaching a customer care agent to pour my anger on who ever gets unlucky today but it's not working.
My friends have been complaining about the same issue that MTN subscribed them without their consent but i did not believe until now.
MTN is deliberately subscribing its customers to services and removing their money without customer's consent and i say it's STEALING. They steal little by little from each customer which runs into millions daily.
The annoying thing is that they make sure their unsubscribe button does not work most times. Thereby STEALING over and over again.
I believe some of us here have similar experiences, abeg share it jare, this guys are using our money to pay their staffs. STOLEN MONEY. MTN MMM Hi emmy02, so sorry for the inconvenience, I wish to let you know that I currently run a thread here called the MTN Customer care https://www.nairaland.com/1379574/mtn-customer-care-thread/ where issues like this are resolved. Instead of MTN to keep to their own side of the datadeal of dialing *131*103#. To get 2G for 500 naira, they gave 500MB for 500 naira, what a wicked way to scam one’s client.
MtN should just do the needful and give me the data or refund my money. I cannot waste N500 on stupid 500mb when Ntel gives me 1000 unlimited for solid 2 days MTN, Scam is bad, give me my data EFCC and other security agents should note this.
