YoungPerson: It is because of people like you I refused to join the military. See how you're judging the case from two paragraphs and a 30 second video that explains next to nothing. I for find you and flog sense into your synapses.
As a parent, I use my hard earned money that I worked tirelessly for to buy a phone for my child so as to track him or her in this evil world we live in. That child defies school rules and takes it to school. The school finds it and asks my child to destroy it in front of the whole school under duress with a camera in front of her. I don't have this information but then I wake up to see the video on Nairaland frontpage, bros, people go die.
All of you quoting me are very mad hypocrites. If you read my comment well, you would see that I'm mad because the girl was videotaped and had it posted on the internet. None of you, I repeat, none of you would allow your child to be exposed on the internet for anything at all except for funny viral videos they post by themselves or by you, the parent. I would sue to school to court and win. Yes, the child broke the rules in school just like all you dumbass hypocrites insulting me did but I'd like to see where it is stated in print that such punishment will be the result of bringing a phone to school. Dumb lot. Na why SARS dey slap slap una all over town because you don't know your rights.Thunder strikes the next person who quotes me spewing bullshit
Mehn, people have really lost it. Abi do your brains have coronavirus or you've been smoking Colorado? Will it kill them to seize the phone for the rest of the term or even the rest of the school year? Truth is the child will be more remorse than this nonsense all of you mad people are supporting. Are you people insane how can you not see the evil here. If all schools, made videos of kids who break rules and post them on the internet, what kind of world would we be living in? Are you people mad?!
I grew up in Lagos, I use the term 'mad' a lot. No vex rubbish ....rubbish...trash.... there is a law in place before joining. the moment you joined or u gained admission you have indirectly put and accept to be bound by such law and any contravention then you should be ready to face the consequencies. obviously you will make a bad patrent |

ty4real123: Growing up as a child wasn't a rosy one for me. I wouldn't categorize myself as a child that was born with silver spoon because I went through hell.
On some nights, I would go to bed without eating. On very bad days, I would sustain lots of injuries as a result of the beating I received from people I lived with.
As at the age of knowing what is good and bad, I found myself in a Motherless babies home. Before then, I used to see every child as my siblings. I saw the lack of resemblance, the disunity and several other factors that sent the signal to me that we weren't siblings.
On several occasions, I saw dignitaries come to where I live to donate foodstuffs. They come with items such as bags of rice, provisions like milo, milk, sugar and cornflakes. They also brought items like tissue papers, soaps and other materials.
I lacked motherly care and affection. I attended my primary, secondary and tertiary education while in the motherless babies home.
When it was time for me to get married, a young man called Ken came my way. He looked charming and disciplined. He was educated too. I felt we could build a home together.
He proposed to marry me, I accepted. The whole engagement process played out very fast. A date was fixed in which I shall visit his parents.
On getting to his parents house, I met his parents, they welcomed me in such a nice way. Something was not right as we had a conversation. I noticed the mother of my fiance staring at me constantly. I got worried. I started thinking if I had met her somewhere before that time.
It wasn't long, she called me aside. She told me to show her my back, I did. She also told me to show her my thigh, I also did.
She recommended I go for a DNA test. I took the result to her. On seeing the result, she fell to the ground and started crying, I was surprised.
I thought I had a genetic disorder. Another thought that came to my mind was that those birth marks I had on those parts of my bodies were spell casted on me.
She started pleading for forgiveness. She narrated how she had thrown me away after my birth because she lacked the available resources to take care of me. She said she has a strange feeling immediately she saw me, which was the very reason she demanded I show her my back and thigh. She also said to clear her doubts, she had to recommend the DNA test.
I don't know what to do at the moment.
I feel like not forgiving her because my heart is heavy.
What do you suggest I do? I'm thinking about my marriage.
I love my fiance. your story get kleg ....more reason i dont watch Nollywood movies |

chival: The fact that hotel staff were able to verify that the deceased was alive and in good health after the man left, puts him in the clear somewhat. Barring other extenuating circumstances, he probably won't be implicated. He needs to thank that individual who had the common sense to verify the lady's state of health upon his departure. Saved by the whiskers. you are very wrong ma... He was the last person to have contact or seen with her. He still have case to answer. A lot of factors from the guy could have caused her death. |

Go to Sweden, UK, many whites speak/rap Igbo ,even study so many of their customs/ tradition,, even New yam festival is well recognised n admired internationally.
So many yoruba men keep marrying n love to marry Igbo women ,over 98% of the men.
Stop allowing ethnocentrism to becloud Ur reasoning. . It's obvious you are the one displaying ignorance here... From their egalitarian society to caste system of osu only points to the fact that igbo dont have custom |

hammerU: IN YORUBA CULTURE, YORUBA WOMEN ARE MADE TO PAY FOR THEIR OWN MARRIAGE.
AS IF THE GROOM IS DOING HER A FAVOUR BY MARRYING HER.
IT IS ONLY YORUBA THAT PRACTICE THIS IN THE WHOLE NIGERIA.
YET YORUBA MEN RATHER GO WHERE BRIDE PRICE IS PAID. yoruba hardly marry igbo people... Just 0.08 percent of yoruba man will marry igbo. Few cultures of igbos are againt public opinion, they are repugnant to natural justice, against good conscience and mostly incompatible with Nigerian law |

YORUBA DONT HAVE CULTURE.
YOUR MARRIAGES ARE DIVORCE PRONE.
U ARE FACED WITH A MASS EXIT OF YORUBA GROOM NOT MARRYING YORUBA WOMEN. its a known fact...igbos dont have culture or any pre existing precolonial political structure. the whole world knows that. but talking about culture and tradition yorubas are very extremely rich. |
