mekaboy: Like i said, move the capital to Anambra. When a state becomes capital all government agencies have their headquarters there. Which means people have to migrate to the place for contracts. What would people be doing in Abuja if it was not capital?
The seaport in lagos made it commercial capital. Means people have to lagos to access the sea. This will affect the economy of any state positively. This is what common sense should do for u.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/pidgin/54173142.amp Go and meet the federal government for that. Even when Calabar was capital, Lagos was more prosperous. Industrialization and the hospitality of Yorubas is the reason why Lagos is ahead of the whole West Africa. Take your pains to the Federal Government, Yorubas are not the cause of your wahala |

mekaboy: Common sense is truly not common. What do you expect of a former countries capital with huge investment in infrastructure from federal government and a sea port?
Move the capital to Anambra for the next 4 years and come back with this post.
Are all the things he warned about years ago not happening today? Which huge investment? Sea and airports were built by the British from loan collected from Yorubas and they had more than enough been self-sustaining since then. Most of the present Lagos state were part of defunct Western Region. All the major Industria estates were built by Awolowo and Lagos state government. Apapa was not FCT, Oshodi and all parts of mainland were Western region. Only three local governments out of the present 20 were in FCT. Ignorance and the lies fed you by your forefathers is deceiving you
Nigeria has more hope with peter obi as VP than Tinubu as president. |

seguno2: How will they be motivated to put in their best, if they know that other workers (governor and lawmakers) of the same Lagos state government, are getting a much larger total package for doing very little So that's what the government employed them to do? You just want to be against the project at all cost even if it makes you look unintelligent. Smh |
Politics › Re: Sanwo-Olu To Perform Ground Breaking For Massey Children's Hospital by Jimasun: 1:38pm On Apr 28, 2021 |
seguno2: Are the nurses doing that because they know that the governor & lawmakers as well as the LGA councillors & chairmen are making off like bandits without producing much or adding any real value to the state This is not a logical argument. Lagos state health workers are almost on the same salary scale with FG workers. Also, Lagos state doesn't owe her workers, why should they not be punctual and up and doing? |

Failed citizen thinkers. Sad you attack your fellow poor citizens because of leaders who don’t even know you and are living so so large on the commonwealth you ought to be enjoying, in South Africa they pay them, in uK here they do. The day 60 million youths rise. All of them will pass through Benin republic out. Nigeria will compete with the likes of South Africa and Europe for development. The day a United youth stand.. how can one man control Lagos for 22 years and it is still very dirty and smelling, it can’t even rob shoulders with sandton, Casablanca, joburg, Windhoek, etc cities in Africa ooh IPOB please go and develop your region first |

Josywhyte: And if u check these teachers are not well paid or are owed for several months. Not just gifting them cars,do something about their salaries. These teachers are nation builders, just that in Nigeria we don't value teachers.... we tend to look down on them where as the one of the major contributors of a nation's development Lagos is not Abia or Rivers. Lagos pays the highest minimum wage in Nigeria and her workers are well renumerated. |

CaptainAyub: So your own tradition is to be deadbeat dads, serial philanderers and going about and impregnating women randomly? I am talking of ownership of child. You cannot deny the father access to his child neither can you do same to the mother except he is seen as dangerous. Relationship is a two way thing, if one party is no longer interested, famuz. The kid remains theirs and they must take care of such. Don't put words in my mouth. |

cjrane: We need FBI and technology to track down these gunmen.
I personally believe it is an act orchestrated by the Fulani Federal government to justify killing of innocent people.
If you look closely at the tribe of the victims, you will easily see they are mainly the few Igbo people in the police force. It clearly shows the identity of the so called gun men. An average Fulani soldier or bandit would waste any igbo whether he is a colleague in the forces or a civilian. But they find it hard to waste even a Fulani bandit. The ease of killing Igbo officers in these attacks is highly suspicious!
Let an independent body tell us who is doing this. Stop being foolish. The whole knows it is IPOB that is behind these killings |

Politics › Re: Walking Into The Trap(the July 29th 1966 Counter-Coup @ Ibadan) by Jimasun: 9:06pm On Mar 21, 2021 |
Racoon: Well, histroy have given many opinion about the coup esp the roles played by many of the characters involved.Only histroy will vindicate or indict whosoever because a coup is a highly secretive operation that the intricacy thereof is hidden. For instance Gowon and Danjuma are the star witness of that coup but have refused to tell or write on the roles they played in it.
Ironsi was innocent of whatsoever allegation being charged against him because he was on the coupists hit list but escaped on top off by Lt.Col Yakubu Pam's(then army adjutant) wife.Even Late Major Adewale Ademoyega and Col.Ben Gbulie all attest about it.
Now you alleged Major Nzeogwu was patriotic but still blame Igbos same way the northerners still gave him a befitting burial in Kaduna despite his involvement.Well, you all may or nay not be wrong.
If the coup had been successful, do you think Nigeria would still be where we are today?
"....Because I happened to have known the whole genesis of the coup, my answer to that question is, Nigeria would have become a changed place now. Nigeria would have been one of the top countries in the world today and other good plans for the country..." https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/1966-coup-plotters-planned-make-awolowo-head-state-olutoye/%3famp=1 What I am saying is, the aftermath of the coup was not well managed by Igbo leaders. Not punishing the coup plotters was a grievous mistake even when Isaac Boro was sentenced to death for a treasonable offense by same Ironsi. The North didn't see the killing of Sarduana as a plot against them until Ironsi introduced the Unification decree and refused to punish the coup plotters. Note, I see the coup as noble and patriotic, but there will always be consequences for such if it fails. Igbos leaders didn't manage the outcome very well and it was what led to the civil war. |
