An Igbo proverb says 'Ogoli nua di ugbolo abuo, O mara nke ka mma' (When a woman marries the second time, then she can ascertain the better man between her ex and present husband) Dear Garba Shehu, though I understand that you are doing your job, know that you only have about one year left. At this winding-up stage, I think maintaining some silence will save you some dignity [if there are remnants]. For clarity's sake, this is the 21st century. Information age. The Gimmick used to deceive a 30-year-old man in the year 2005 can never be used to deceive a 15-year-old boy of today. Your initial silence was more reasonable than your response. LET NIGERIA DECIDE! The genuine outcome of the 2023 election will vindicate the LESSER EVIL from the REAL DEVIL. |
Dividend of APC led Federal Government. |
This is exactly what you get failed, a failed Governor, and a failed institution. Firstly, it was Herdsmen's mayhem in Southern Kaduna. Secondly, Kaduna - Abuja road/Commuter vehicles being geld hostage by Bandits. Thirdly, Kaduna Airport/Passenger plane. And just yesterday, it was Kaduna Railway/Passenger train. What next? Mallam El-Rufai has nothing to offer Kaduna State, but to only hold onto power. Under El-Rufai, the name 'Kaduna' is synonymous with 'Bad News'. And the man will keep on ranting as if he has something to offer. He will never own up like Kastina state Governor, Aminu Masari that all is not well and be appealing for help from all and sundry. El-Rufai will continue to be playing partisan politics, talking anyhow with no plan for effective administration or good governance, and his state will remain on fire |
PDP as a party should focus more on possible and well think out plans to get power back. When they successfully regained Power at the center and many states, they will now talk of balancing power and zoning of political power. Otherwise, the inordinate and overzealous ambitions of its members will cost them heavily that bouncing back will be a Herculean task. |
Nigerialabalaba:This event happened in 1989. 33yrs after, people are still applauding Bianca's present beauty and all you could comment is this. I advise you to equally use bleaching cream as well for 33yrs and come out for the word to assess or judge you. Thanks. |
Putin gave Mariupol Civilians 3 day corridor to leave so wetin come be Children hospital again ...[/quotte] You gave women in labour 3days to leave. Or you gave new born babies or ailing babies 3days to leave. Is this the level of your brutality? My heart bleeds. |
SlyDev:Because of competition, adventure, exploits, ambitious, and entrepreneurship. Igbos like to learn something new. They like spreading out to add more to their already acquired experience or knowledge. Aside spreading out to other parts of Nigeria and the world, if humans exist In the moon and other planets, Igbos will migrate there. The joy of it is the strong believe in 'IGBO LUE UNO' - Travel and come back. They always come back to develop their enclaves. They equally develop their host community in their little capacity. It might interest you to know that Igbo land is the most individually, developed region in Nigeria. All these gave birth to the slogan - IGBO AMAKA. It is in the DNA |

Electioneering has started. Vote-buying activated! |
From a human angle, it is very difficult for someone that has tested power at the highest level to chicken out so easily. Aside from being the Vice President, Osinbajo has assumed Acting President on many occasions. His political rank as Vice President has risen above that of BAT. More so, his responses so far on intention to contest for the office of the President is enough for the wise to understand that he has an interest in 2023. Are you expecting him to fall below the ladder and contest for Governorship or Senate? Do you expect him to go into oblivion and resurface 16years after (8 for the South, another 8 for the North before returning to the South)? Everyone has the Constitutional right to contest. So, why the eyebrow? Let everyone test his/her popularity at the poll. Be it a primary election, let the battle be decided in the ring. Enough of all these brouhaha or intimidation. |
The similar way I cried after losing my Hankercheif that worth N6million. I feel your pain. |
Salvation is an individual race. Bible is our guide. As a Christian, Jesus Christ is the standard. And Humility, Love, and Charity are the watch-word. As a Christian, it is a sacred order to care, provide, and cater to the poor. The common or collective wealth of the Church is for the benefit of all as practiced by the Early Christian. Not for the Pastors alone. The shocking truth is everyone will give an account of his/her life. Do not say your pastor told you this or that. Read your Bible and GOD will give you an understanding of the scripture. [On the last day, your Pastor will be in the same queue you found yourself to also render an account of his/her life] |
@: I sincerely commend you for this onerous task of projecting the image of Anambra State to the delight of all, marketing the achievements of Gov. Obiano led administration for all to behold, and the choice of words you use to make your presentation. Remain bless great brother and Comrade. |

bolaayenimo:I am yet to comprehend what Festus Keyamo is trying to explain above. Is he telling us that a man that has once been 'a Federal Commissioner for Petroleum under the military regime of Obasanjo in the 70s and has been the Minister of Petroleum since November 2015 till date doesn't know experts (be it foreign or local) that will turnaround our refineries. Only to be approving a turnaround few years or months to leave the stage as a president and petroleum minister. Festus Keyamo, please read your statement and request a re-interview. Something is not adding up here. |

Righteousness2:In concurrence with you, Davido has done what most of men in suits hardly do. 'Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me'. He has genuinely paid his TITHE. And surpass it. 'Deuteronomy 14 : 22 - 29' (emphasis on verse 29). I wonder why most men in suits hardly read this Biblical quotation. They always dwell on 'Malachi 3 : 10' and ignore the source or details. Bible always emphasize that we should remember the poor in our midst. Not acquisition of private jets and building of schools that are out of reach of the poor the Bible severally admonished us to remember. Davido! I salute you! |

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was in power for 8 years. During that period, MASSOB led by Chief Raph Uwazurike was agitating for Biafra. There were series of peaceful solidarity rallies, Millions of men marches, and gatherings. Biafran flags were hoisted in every nook and cranny of the Southeast region. Chief Uwazurike was arrested and released severally. Series of dialogue was initiated. Regardless of all these, the Southeast remained a peaceful haven. President Muhammadu Buhari came to power; IPOB started the same agitation for Biafra. They use a radio station to air their voice. Their leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu came down from London and was arrested by the government, just like Uwazurike. Peaceful solidarity rallies and marches were held and Biafran flags hoisted in Southeast regions as well. Unlike Obasanjo's approach, a military onslaught was unleashed on the Southeast region in the name of 'Operation Python Dance. It is on record and there are lots of video clip evidence that Nigerian soldiers and police often shoot, kill, wound, and brutalized none violent and unarmed IPOB agitators. Lives were lost. Young men were killed. Breadwinners were killed. Loved ones were killed. Children, women, and old ones were not spared by stray bullets. The relative peace in the Southeast was gradually eroding. After the release of Nnamdi Kanu from prison, series of intensified but peaceful solidarity rallies returned in the Southeast. Millions of sympathizers gather together to welcome Nnamdi Kanu as a hero in his many visits to different towns in the Southeast. This new and growing popularity accorded to Nnamdi Kanu in the region prompted another military action (Operation Python Dance) in the region. As expected, lives were lost. Nnamdi Kanu's home was invaded by the military and he escaped the country. Lots of bereaved and broken families are out for vengeance against security agents. But we shouldn't allow such to happen. Otherwise, we end up having a failed state. Two wrongs can't make right. Argument on Nnamdi Kanu flaunting his bail conditions is baseless in the sense that the court has not said so, reprimanded him, or issue a warrant for his arrest. Many factors are responsible for the current state of the Southeast region. Immediately after inauguration, President Buhari made it obvious that he will not render the same treatment to the region that gave him 5℅ votes with those that gave him 97℅. Of course, the Southeast region is the 5℅. Mr. President openly declared war of deprivation to the Southeast. And Southeast embarked on self-defense - 'Battle for Survival'. Buhari's statement and actions so far portray obvious hatred or disaffection to the region. His recent remark of 'A Dot in the Circle' justified that he knew exactly what he is doing. With all these narratives and obvious facts, the seed of crisis in the Southeast was planted by this present administration. It is a well-hatched job. Aside Northeastern states and North-central states, Mr President's state Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, and Kaduna state are not left out. Charity begins at home. Katsina state should have been the first in pronunciation of 'State of Emergency' before others. Dialogue is a bane of true Democracy, unity, and co-existence. As a leader, you are leading the whole nation. Do not expect every section to like you. After all, there was a contest before your emergence. But it is expected of you to ensure fair treatment. Don't allow ego or bitterness to override your true sense of reasoning. Leave a good legacy carved in stone. |
Righteousness2:True talk. Just like you change from 'Righteousness89' to 'Righteousness2' after peddling lies claiming that GOD told you that Donald Trump will be re-elected. You are yet to confess for lying in the name of GOD or portraying GOD as a liar. I'm surprised that with your self-acclaimed Christianity, your conscience hasn't tormented you or judge you for the heinous act. I'm watching the veracity of your faith with keen interest. |
Yusman316:What utterances are you talking about? Is it before unleashing military action on him or after? I appeal to you to define 'Terrorist' to me. What were an offense of Nnamdi Kanu before his first arrest and military invasion? What was the sin of the people of the Southeast before unleashing military actions in the name of Python Dance? Where was your voice when peaceful and unarmed Southeasterners were being killed because of holding Biafran flags, adorning Biafran T-shirts, and armbands? Action begets Reaction. When was not massively voting for a political candidate (5%) became an offense to warrant openly declaration of war of deprivation on them? Since you have declared war of deprivation on me, let me pursue self-survival or determination. How does it become an offense? |

BobbieZion:The whole truth! And nothing but the truth. You can't preach true love for humanity, yet you segregate because of disparity on belief and faith. |
I disagree with MACBAN's position and the opinion of its Southwest zonal Secretary, Maikudi Usman. Saying that the price of cows will soar to N2million if anti-open grazing law is enacted is a cheap threat to Nigerians. MACBAN is seeking for masses' sympathy with such deceit. Let me educate Maikudi Usman a bit. In the dark age, fowls freely roam in the neighborhood of every inhabitant of a community. Polluting the environment with their droppings, causing havoc on people's kitchens, barns, and stored grains. With this practice, series of unrests, mayhems, endless disputes, etc. were the order of the day. In the end, we end up raising a shaggy and skinny fowl for consumption. The advancement of agriculture give birth to modern fowl farming - poultry, where fowls are raised in a well-restricted structure or environment. Bringing sanity, harmony, peaceful co-existence, etc. to society. Robust and well breeded fowls of different varieties started flooding our markets. Mr. Maikudi Usman, don't you think that such a feat will also be recorded in embracing modern ranching for cattle farming. Other countries are making progressive advancements embracing modern trends and civilizations. Why is MACBAN insisting on archaic and stone-age practice? With modern ranching, you can freely transport your cow from Kanu or Maiduguri to Lagos or Port Harcourt and still breed them in established ranches after liaising and negotiated with the management of those ranches. With modern ranches, cattle farming will gain more spread and traction. Different varieties of robust cattle will flood our market, herders/farmers' clashes will be a thing of the past. Road accidents cause by roaming cattle will be drastically reduced. Above all, cattle farmers will make more money selling animal droppings as organic manure to farmers. I advise that MACBAN should do more research and consultation to open their eyes and see beyond their present focal point. |
