rvp2018: You know my feelings. You should not own farms or hunting in South Africa until blacks get their land and you can buy it. The best you should own is apartment and factories. That is where Mbeki failed.
How can we even compare kenya and south africa - one is saudi arabia of minerals - one is 89 percent semi arid barren wilderness - that is flying the black flag proudly above all.
rvp2018: Hey Boer, when everyone gained independence in 1950s - 1960s, all your people could think about is apertheid while stealing black south african minerals? Now you want to compare yourself with Kenya - barren semi arid country with no minerlas.
The Africans who got independence - not a single country enacted racism - until Amin did it in 1970s against asians.
Now the Boers - all the primitive in National Party (dont hide under the white colour) could think about is apertheid.
Who does that?
If British had been intelligent - they would have handed South Africa to blacks - not Boers.
rvp2018: I got you hunting for my typos. Why would I care. You're the worse breed of dutch people. Dutch are accomplished farmers worldwide. You're the scum of Europe. When dutch grew tall - seem your remained dwarf in almost everything - contended to hunt for squirels for a living.
you see that's all you can do.....throw racist insults....pathetic really!!
rvp2018: Of course, I am not capable engaging a primitive neaderthal who still hunt for a living. While the rest of neardethal in Europe were urbanizing and industralizing - you were down south - hunting with Khoisans. Thank the Brits-Jews for fixing your country bloody boer.
rvp2018: I think you're interested in heckling - not in real debate. Again stay away from anything using PPP/GDP for poverty analysis in unequal country like South Africa. Kenya last HOUSEHOLD BUDGET Survey was done in 2016. Poverty had reduced from 47 percent to 36 percent.
rvp2018: You actually should listen to me so I can teach you poverty. There many types of povery - extreme poverty, headline poverty, international poverty, food poverty bla de bla.
What you put ther is - Poverty headcount ratio at $1.90 a day (2011 PPP) (% of population)
In a country of extreme inequality like South Africa - and Kenya = that is NONSENSE.
rvp2018: Only if you put a link. Kenya poverty has never been 32 percent. When I worked for WB - poverty was 47 percent - and then it redueced to 36 percent in the 2016 national household survey. The northern Arid kenya has serious endemic poverty problem.
No other poverty analysis of that scale has been done...I guess it will be until 2025.
Poverty measured under the national poverty line declined from 46.8% to 36.1% of the population. ... Poverty declined considerably in rural areas, from about 50% in 2005-06 to 38.8% in 2015-16
rvp2018: Nah - I worked for World Bank in 2005s or around on poverty analysis. Kenya poverty then was 45-50 percent. In places like Turkana and Northern Kenya - poverty was 95-98 percent. Now I think northern kenya it's down to 75 percent - and in places near Nairobi - it down to less than 20 percent.
Kenya has reduced it's poverty tremendiously the last two decades...lifting I think 10-20m people out of it.
COVID has probably send a million back to poverty but nothing that drastic.
Cool story bro but those are the figures straight from the WB website
rvp2018: Very true. Kibera and kenya slums people actually climb out of poverty. it's very hard to find inter-generational poverty. In 90s and even now Kibera Olympic primary was one leading schools in kenya. In our university class - we had two kids from Kibera - ex-olympic - and there were many doing medicine, engineering and such courses.
Kenya slums are just a entry point for rural poor emigrating to urban centers.
rvp2018: Kenya poor have a real path out of poverty compared to South Africa apertheid system that codemn blacks to generational poverty. Kenya urban slums schools produced some of the best kids in our exams. They proceed to go to schools like Starehe boys that sponsor them 100 percent - and go on to become the best in their lifes. Kenya slums are not permanent station of life in Kenya
If two school could speak - Olympic and Starehe boys - it would be story of triump - of slums kids - extremely intelligent - extremely discipline - coming out of slums to be doctors, engineers, etc
Shma: Show me something like this in khyelitsha. These are apartments for kibera residents.
The fact that you are now resorting the blatant lying is pathetic and to be honest not something I expected from you.....but I guess if you are desperate then anything is possible.
First pic is Kisumu Third pic is from Ngumo estate
Shma: I didn't say Thembisa is inside Jorburg CBD. This one here is totally different from Thembisa and it's the one inside your CBD. I don't know the name maybe I will search.
Shma: Stats can be deceiving at times. South Africa won't be having the highest rate of crime if not for poverty In grandeur. Kenya has crime but not to the level of Black suffers. This alone should be able to tell alot bruh. - the higher the crime rate, the more the poverty.
Khayelitsha looks terrible. Infact, this is just 10% of the entire khayelitsha and undoubtedly the heaven in the slum. Anyway, I will ignore the terrible part which I just saw and focus on positive since it's you. You twist anything and I lay bare the jungle of shanties & shacks I've just gotten from the Google.
Kibera is under rehabilitation program - 50% of kibera dwellers are Nubians not natives. Kibera dweller can access anything that a SAn can access.
- the nice thing about stats is that they don't lie.... Kenya has a much higher poverty rate, that is a fact!!
- as I said cherry pick the best Kibera pics.... I'll wait
Shma: The crime rate is at a higher rate because of the miserable life you have rendered to blacks. Crime is a sign of poverty and that alone is one good yardstick for measuring poverty in south Africa.
And mind you, your worst was not even in the picture. I know khayelitsha is undisputed extremely worst place to live in in SA. What I was doing, I wanted to show you guys that your overrated jorburg is full of slums. Infact, I've never seen such a huge continous slum in Nairobi.
And talk of infrastructure. Lemme use kibera, kibera has the following infrastructure : - road, rail, fiber connection, electricity, schools, hospitals, supermarkets, a mall etc.. But I like how you rephrased your statement to slums vs slums.
- there are many reasons for crime and yes poverty is one of them however SA has a much lower poverty rate than Kenya... That is undeniable.
- I don't think you know what khayelitsha looks like today but its certainly not the worst place to live, inequality, unemployment and poverty is the lowest in the Western Cape out of all provinces... See pics of khayelitsha developments... Show me if Kibera has any of this.
- let's compare kibera to khayelitsha which is the worst slum according to you. Cherry pick Kibera's best parts..
Shma: Mmmh.. Mistsi or transcriber can also come here and say the same. Will that dispute anything? I mean, do you think his opinions are 100% correct and ours are inferior?
Forget about that one time event. Let's focus on other things. I mean, crime rate and slums ..
And why do Kenyans live longer than suffers?
Well we all know SA has a higher crime rate, I've never disputed that, however the fact is our slums have better infrastructure than yours and in South Africa less people live in slums compared to Kenya.... So yeah post away with pics of Alex, Tembisa ect ect.... Why do you think I haven't once posted a pic of Kibera or any other Kenyan slum for that matter? Because I could!! However I know the facts on the ground!! Hence why it isn't necessary
And yeah Kenyans live 2 years longer vs a country with the highest aids prevalency in the world
