Compare apples with apples, the national poverty lines differs between Kenya and South Africa in SA its R1,335 per person per month in Kenya its only 3252 shillings per month..........that's considerably less!!!! hence the skewed figure.

Now lets compare when poverty figures are compared using the same metric @$5.5 / $3.2 and $1.9 ppp adjusted of course!
