There is a saying in Africa society that you can hide hunger but cannot hide bones something like that..If africans were dying of covid like you suggest then we would know..we know all ths..i got data from our hospitals an can tell you its not happening..
The other day we were debating about a post by a French scientist suggesting that the reason Africans are not dying at much rate its coz of worms they got in their bodies..kinda a protection shield
We i know many folks out there wish Africa death an stuff but not happening. We had ebola,HIV ,covid but our population still strong.an It scaring some folks an mostly white supremist...Dont know why they scared of black or brown skin..
Its funny ya suggesting that if Kenya tested more then folks would die in masses..Thats not science bro..Its wishful thnking...

I've said it multiple times and I'll say it again.... Covid only has a 1% fatality rate, around 50% of people don't even know they have/had covid.... The natural deaths in SA is barely any different than pre covid.... Conclusion: if you don't conduct tests you'll not know if the death was covid related or not.

What's the extra 300 tonnes for? That's about half the weight our missile armed fast attack crafts.

Secondly where are we getting our new opvs from? China has stopped manufacture of the type 056.

who said its less capable than the type 056? The P18N is a different class of ship, its like comparing apples to oranges.

Also the P18N is configured with a whole host of extras that the type 056 doesn't have, like oil spilage rigs, a helicopter hanger ect ect

exactly my point!! "Fitted for but not with" the P18N is a purpose built OPV.... It does not have the systems to run ASW, AA, SS weaponry.

The battle management system you are talking about is software that can be installed and modified. The SS, ASW and AAs are modules that can be installed in a matter of weeks.

OPVs can and do have longer endurance than corvettes, it's armament that dictates weather a ship is an OPV or corvette.

And the P18N is purely an OPV..... If it was "fitted for but not with" the offensive capabilities of a Corvette then I would've called it a Corvette however the P18N is a purpose built OPV, it can't be integrated with SS, ASW and AA without major refit

My initial comparison was a size comparison.

However, P18N can easily be converted to a missile, it doesn't we've seen how possible it is with the OPVs Senegal ordered from France. OPV 52 is another good example.

they are OPVs... No anti sub, no anti air, no anti surface.... Purely a patrol vessel, and it's not like you could convert the P18N into a corvette either since the battle management system and ship architecture simply won't allow it unless a major refit is done which would cost so much one could just as well purchase a type 056 instead of going through the trouble.

If deaths were higher then normal it would be recorded mortuaries would be overrun and so would hospitals the only clear occurence of a possible major COVID outbreak was in Kano and Kaduna state where 267 people died from an unknown illness apart from there, there's been no news of many people in any community dying or mortuaries being overrun which are clear signs of a disease

I never said SAs covid policy was top notch but it's by far better than the rest of Africa............Just look at the number of tests conducted as well as number vaccinated and compare that to the rest of Africa
