Kazikazi: Nothing is impossible. In 1990 TZ GDP was $3.43 billion In 1990 SA GDP was $115 billions. That was about 30 times of TZ gdp.Fast forward 2020, SA GDP is 4 times of TZ GDP.
TZ will overtake SA.Take it or leave it.That is a closed deal.Is you don't believe it,just check how TZ was doing 20 years back. Check the gap btn SA & TZ in those days.
yes i believe it because i can see the reforms happening.
Secondly TZ isn't going to overtake SA...deal with it EOD
Kazikazi: I checked the last link with a PDF.That is just a no sense. I don't know why you guys wants to complicate simple things like crime? You have reached a point of thinking people commit crime because of being unemployed? Really? Was Gupta unemployed? Zuma? Etc?
Dude, know this from today.. People commit crime just because they can do it without being caught, and if in case they get caught, they wont be punished enough
You don't need some funny formula and new theories. Just catch the criminals and punish them enough.
Zimbabweans in Zimbabwe are not committing crime though they have a huge unemployment rate than SA. The Zambians in Zambia don't commit much crime like SAns though the Zambians have huge unemployment.
There are white kids in SA from well to do families in Waterkloof in Pretoria and Also in Brynston suburb who have commited serious crimes though they have everything at home.why?...
You are the one talking nonsense..........I brought 3 credible scientific studies that support my argument..........You simply give your opinion and think that its a fact.
Kazikazi: Yes,that will make TZ a big boy of east, central and southern Africa. As you know,TZ economy grows by 7% annually, but upon completion of LNG,the economy will grow on avarage of 15% per annum. That will be enough to overtake South Africa, since SA is stagnant and there is no sign of revival anytime soon.
The only sad part of TZ is,we have delayed this project for too long. Not only that, but all other major mining projects were delayed because of changes in mining laws and reforms which was underway.
Besides gas, Our uraniums are still waiting.Liganga Iron ore and steel complex project($3 billion) it is still negotiated.
SAs economy is said to rebound by as much as 4% in 2021.........TZ ain't overtaking SA in this lifetime!!
Kazikazi: Crime and unemployment is related?.That is a fallacy. Malawians are too poor but they dont do crime.SAns are better off than most African nations, but still you have high rates of crime.
Kazikazi: You always talk about small issues! Reforms should start with Corruption Crime Lab our laws and unions A huge gov wage bill
- we've already seen the steps Ramaphosa has taken to tackle corruption.
-imo crime is directly correlated to unemployment once the economic reform policies take effect and the economic starts to grow we will see a decrease in crime.
- Tito(fin minister) has already set out plans to relax labour regulations for SMEs
- the Gov wage bill is a lot lower under Ramaphosa than under Zuma
mtisTheQubit: its not about the test man..its about the sharp increase after nana ended the lockdown..anyway we shouldnt be arguing about ths...numbers dont lie, lets wait an see
The more test you do the higher the increase will be.... It's logic bro!!
rvp20182: Yes but no that fast...and it's facing competition from Maputo. South Africa is in a middle-class trap. It's not growing. It was under a recession last year. This year is of course chaos for everyone but South Africa has one world most depreciated currency and economy decelerate by as much as 4.5% - so expect the port to record a huge drop in traffic.
South Africa's economic problems are not temporary (COVID-19) - they are structural - starting with Eskom that has more debt than kenya total external debt(30B dollars) - and many other issues - on labor disputes, land, mining, and immigration.
SA has one of the most undervalued currencies, technically speaking it should be trading around R6 to the doller
Also as stated earlier the economic reform are already happening..... IPPs, the restructuring of Eskom, relaxed visa regulations, relaxed labour regulations ect ect ect
NuclearBomber: Nigeria bought the highest spec of the VT-4 tanks. Ours is the most expensive at over $5million each because it is Full options with added enhancements, specified by our armoured experts. I can confirm that ours is Far higher that the Pakistani version. Don't ask my source, just take what I said. The choice and specifications was done by the Ministry of Defence; so this is not a crap army procurement. There are loads of more contracts that are not even public, including the Future Nigerian Frigate program, that is top notch.
This would be a very important system for the Nigerian Air Force. Although we currently have the ATR-70 which is currently undergoing deep upgrades in Germany and the King Air ISR, I think this system would give us more of an edge in surveillance.
Just30: you should have known i was referring to two different companies
I should've known? no bro you should've known as you simply said Goldfields which is a South African company...........If you said Ashanti Goldfields or something like than then different story.........Besides as you said Ashanti Goldfields does not exist anymore as it merged with AngloGold!!
Incorporated on May 29,1944 in South Africa as Vaal Reefs Exploration and Mining Company Limited. The Company changed its name to Anglogold Limited on march 30, 1988 After a consolidation. On April 26, 2004,the Company merged with Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited to form AngloGold Ashanti Limited.
nothing like external
it has been operating since 1880
Ashanti Goldfields corporation is Ghanaian, AngloGold Ashanti is not...............
Just30: How do you think it became AngloGold Ashanti
a joint venture between two great companies does not make it just an SA company anymore
You said AngloGold and Goldfields are Ghanaian companies.
Goldfields Limited is not Ashanti Goldfields corporation...............This is where the confusion came in!!
As for AngloGold ashanti well imo it still a SAn company as the headquarters and Directors are all South African and Ghanaian shareholders only owns 2% of AngloGold Ashanti...................
