You said you were not here to make friends and I said no one is here looking to be your friend. What's hard to understand for you in that? Your brain seems to be returning home to the maker.
the fact that it's totally irrelevant to what I said

The full year report is the main thing. Stop being an idiot.
I have to most up to date GDP figures available.... What don't you understand?

This is the fourth quarter. The data for this quarter doesn't come out until shortly before the quarter ends. That's how quarterly data are given. That's why it's important to wait for the end of the year and get the data for the full year. Learn and stop making a monkey of yourself.
I don't need to wait if I already know what your GDP was on in October.... That's the point

You referred to the word "friend' first. Nobody is anybody's friend here for your information.

It like your alternative moniker is even dumber than the usual Obaaderemi

Don't mind that stvpid boy. He hardly gets his facts right. Then when you counter him he starts struggling and working towards making his data look acceptable and calling people ret.arded. A word that fits him like a hat.

Because those data are updated quarterly and annually. That's why you have to wait. Indeed 2021 data is for the last full year.
exactly they are updated quarterly so I'm taking the latest figures from October.... So why you crying?

The point is just there in the comment

Most of the data in data mapper is not up to date for most countries because they still remain 1st quarter data with the exception of the growth rate projection.

They'll have a comprehensive set of data by end of year... Things have delayed for most of their data because of the challenges they faced.

If you had checked last 2 months and even last month, you wouldn't have gotten any data on that site for most countries.
they are updated quarterly for most normal functioning countries.... So again what's your point?
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by jl115: 1:11pm On Dec 20, 2022
Just30:
grin grin

Actually, some of the data for most countries have not been updated yet.. except for few countries like Kenya where because of IMF constant engagement over the last 3 years, they've had a quick update on all their data in datamaper.
Most countries data are still in first quarter with the exception of GDP growth rate projection which is accurate for all countries

Typical kenyan cognitive dissonance
Your point is what exactly? I didn't say every country has updated their own GDP figures.... I said I'm posting the latest IMF figures

I see you"re now willing to stand you ground and not allow the boer to run all over. Yes nominal gdp is gold standard. PPP is still a concept.
OK with your logic kenya has a lower gdp per capita than Nigeria with 200 million people.... In other words you haven't even caught Nigeria yet but you want to compare with SA?

Surely the Ka 52 alligator. I got a number of reasons.

As a Nigerian, I will love my country to purchase military equipment that can perform for at least a decade and the Ka 52 trumps the ah-64 in my opinion.

We have less restrictions, it has a lower flyaway cost and also has an ejecting seat as a bonus.

The ah 64 might be slightly faster but the ka 52 has a longer range.
Mmmmm I'd rather take my chances with the ground than the blades grin

I don't think I'm interested in these stupid cyclical arguments anymore. I said GDP nominal is more used than PPP. This is something every sane person knows.

We are on the same page
I prefer at least 10% owned by Government
41% owned by citizens (indigenes)
then at most 49% owned by foreign partners

OR

90% owned by citizens
10% for Government
that's also private ownership .... So in actual fact you want 90%+ of shares to be privately owned

You seem to have your own answer in head so why not spill it?
I'm all about majority share holdings and any figure above 49% doesn't sit well with me especially when it's a National carrier.
Why must a national carrier be state owned? why can't it be private?

I agree South Africa institutions are pretty admirable backed by a modern constitution. Even USA dont have such. Kenya has to build it institutions and we are probably half way there. We have had sitting president election annualed and that gave our judiciary real cojones. They have seen done many great things.

Definitely South Africa Judiciary is Africa best by a mile. Kenya is half way there - with 2010 constitution mostly borrowed from South Africa - what is ailing us is underfunding of the judiciary and a crazy backlog. Ruto has committed to work with judiciary to double the judges and magistrate - and build lot more courts.

I dont know enough of the rest - but I think ESKOM should be biggest concern - because it has systemic risk to the economy and general wellbeing. That should occupy Ramaphose and ANC every day.
I concur

And yes Eskom is the single biggest risk to the South African economy.

Ruto is the real deal. You'll soon his crazy hardwork paying. Him and the Zambian president are the new kids in the block. Ramaphosa has disappointed. Seem to tired to lead. The South Africa reform train has totally derailed. ANC gov is just there. More sleepy than Buhari
Ramaphosa hasn't had the backing of the ANC to implement the reforms necessary to get SA on track faster, however under his presidency he has been able to prosecute and jail a former president for defying the law, something which will not happen in Kenya, he has uncaptured and started rebuilding several institutions like the NPA, Denel, transnet, Eskom(approved IPPs) and privatised SAA, cracked down on corruption(to an extent), acquired billions of dollars of FDI.
