Nobody is denying that SAs economy is struggling, however so is Nigeria's economy, but the biggest difference is we don't have to deal with the same population growth, Poverty, Infrastructure gaps, health care problems ect ect

Also our economic struggles are not very policy related but mostly due to lost confidence in the ANC and ESKOM, both can be easily fixed with 1, new Government (very likely in 2024) and Private power producers (already happening)

I never said countries with smaller populations can't have bigger GDPs than countries with larger populations...........I said that wrt Nigeria, the biggest reason it has a bigger GDP than SA is because of it's population certainly not better economic policies, which is 100% fact and that can be seen if we simply look at GDP per capita and dozens of other economic indexes

we've gone through this before, the poverty figure in SA is one of the lowest in Africa .... Meaning although we are unequal South Africans are still way better off than most of Africa including Nigeria

You called Nigeria's economic growth in the last decade poor at 2.5% averaged, claiming to be slightly better than SA's? No, SA disappoints u by averaging 0.69%

Except Nigeria's population growth rate is much higher than SA, our GDP doesn't need to grow by that much to at the very least sustain our current GDP per capita....also our growth rate was 1.2% not 0.69%

Nigeria has averaged a poor 2.5% economic growth over the last 10 years.....just slightly better than SA....However Nigeria's population is growing by 2.5% per annum while SAs population is growing at only 1.3%.....meaning even with our economic struggles our GDP per capita has increased while yours has stagnated.

Also SA is a upper middle income country, Nigeria is lower middle income country
