@ jmaine congratulations on you 2.4kWh set up...

This is one active and very determined follower who has got his system procurement of a 48V 50AH smart Lifepo4 battery module and a 1.5kw 60a MPPT hybrid solar inverter through me and with the help of a very reliable nairalander, he was able to install a very reliable system.

Seriously, his solar harvest is really mind blowing as he gets a harvest of 900W to 1.1KW on a sunny day from a 3×350W solar panels. That is about 90% to over 100% of harvest from a 1.050KW solar array...

When he first contacted me, he had in mind to go for a 24V 100AH battery set up but I requested he go for a 48V. Now, He's system runs flawlessly off grid with a very impressive back up time with his estimated load.

You can't get it wrong if you can follow the basics of this thread. Trust me, it will work very well too with lead acid batteries but don't forget to go for quality battery and double capacity to maintain the 50% threshold for lead acid.

Thanks a lot bro grin.. Your assistance was immeasurable to getting me a very functional system .... cool cool

sorry for the late response I've not logged in for some time the fan is rated 30w and that should be at the highest speed which is speed 3 which I rarely use because speed 2 is very ok, and like I mentioned earlier I've noticed that DC AC fans with adapters doesn't consume much power when connected directly to the batteries because I have this one with adapter and another without. My fan is always on till daybreak unless on very cold nights and more than twice I've forgotten to put it off while going to the shop, came back in the evening and my battery is still top notch

Thanks a lot bro for the feedback.. ... I deeply appreciate it.

To some folks aligning with people opinions, especially with folks with the (F) indication means you you are trying to famz them... grin grin grin

You all need to analyze people point of views away from gender related complexes...

Imagine thinking I should feel scared, scarred or ashamed for listening to the Urhobo gospel song Do! Do! Oghene Do! from a frat song.. Lolz.....

Information is power, I should be able to be in a gathering, hear a gyration song and decipher which groups are there for better security... Only a careless fellow or an idiot will consistently love to listen to hardcore frat songs where they glorify their hits, deities, fallen comrades, and decide to play it openly or try to rhyme to it in the public.....

The NBM guy that was shot at Ikorodu a few weeks ago was alleged to be entrapped when the eiye guys were playing his gang songs, and he fell for it. Even for "strong men" dem, dem gats comport, talk less of a jew wey no even get say...

I was expecting this but this is your business so I won't do a 'research' on this

... Be nice to bring something cheap and unsmart for some of us wey dey vex and like to do business with you smiley

To be honest, your attack was very unnecessary.. You can express your "displeasure" without the aggression...

A brief dash to AliExpress would have shown you that the shipping cost of such models is the main albatross..

The lowest shipping cost I saw was beyond 22k using the regular AliExpress standard shipping .over 90% of the offering attracts hefty shipping cost.. You could see an offer of 12K with about 74-150K shipping cost...

Perhaps, as a shipper like you insinuated, this is a window for you to use your expertise and ship in these "smart" models at competitive rates to break the "costly" trend.

All those frat songs are just normal songs e.g gospels , gyrations, secular music modified to suit their twisted messages and codes...

It will be hypocritical for me to say I don't enjoy them cos I love gyrations.

All of una groove Tony One week songs and the other chap from Rivers State... Those are regular Frats gyrations usually modified to suit their story line...

[s]always taught every single person here is a saint, until someone compared cultism to yahoo, everybody became uncomfortable, looking for one excuses or the other, now someone is saying people that abort babies are no different from cultists and everyone is uncomfortable again. nobody is perfect and nobody is better.
what a shame!!! y'all really know how to cast stones, most of you here are Christians and you manage to throw away the verse no sin is greater than another into the dustbin. even judging alone is equal to what you claim is bad.
when a man of god does something, people are all quick to say "thou shall not judge" but when its not a man of god, you all judge to the extreme and condemn people that are probably better than you.
no surprise when most of people you condemn go heaven and you don't, that time na WHY we go dey hear.

if majority of cultist regret their decision, there'll be nothing like cultism again, ask yourselves why do most of them like and are even proud of it, its something who no go can never understand.
the only single point I tried to make on this thread was that a cultist is a normal person like you, only the mindset is different, you are not better, Though they think they are better than you but I personally don't think so.
uhuru will be achieved with or without.

oya oo, set awon stone casters, the stage is yours, knock yourselves out[/s].

Best suited to the trash bin, even the bible you desperately tried to use to justify your doom had a particular sin that was unforgivable. Matthew 12:30-32.....

What next are you going to do, compare hacking a human to death with stealing cubes of sugar from your parent's fridge or simply lying to a stranger you don't have money.

Even the bible recognizes that we should always obey the laws of the land (Romans 13:1-2), what do our laws state on taking another man's life ?

I won't be shocked if you are one wayward kid like the guy that was exposed not too long ago.

I have seen friends lives go to waste simply because they wanted to become rugged, a distant friend of mine was casually walked out of his house in the evening by "men" in the presence of his young wife and kid in 2014, and up till now, he hasn't been found. we all know what that means. We have seen countless of youths go to waste over meaningless superiority squabbles. I am pretty sure that with the "national war" between Aiye and Eiye cultists in Lagos, they are wishing they were jews cos they are in constant fright of being found out and killed.

The infinite good news is that you will slip by like the others before you.

Thanks to the combined efforts of Simydan (Procurement) and Oshomo12 (Installation), I was able to have my modest setup of:
1050W Canadian Poly panels (3 X 350W) in series at 48K each from @okaniudemba
48V 1.5KW Hybrid inverter with an inbuilt MPPT charger of 60A from Alibaba. ( Low Frequency)
48V 50AH LifePO4 battery with a 7-year warranty from Alibaba.

Pic 1: is showing the neat setup by Oshomo, he pays attention to details, and if he tells you he will be in your place by 5 am, be damn sure he will be there a few mins to that. grin grin...

Pic 2: I did like to also give an empirical power consumption review of the FUSHIAI energy-saving fan I purchased from Simydan(Pic 2 attached). It's a decent 30W rated fan with 3 modes namely: Eco mode, natural wind, and Sleep mode, it can be powered via a US device and it's non-rechargeable.

Pic 3: Shows the power consumption of the device when in rotation and when still.

Disclaimer: I am not DIY savvy cheesy cheesy, but i have been an avid follower of this thread since the early days of George et al., long before the nairaland Tsunami of 2013... grin

btw, nothing is been done to them when u report them here. they tell u they are your brothers that you should go and settle at home. since these guys dont really disturb locals, the authority dosnt take them serious.

Interesting, that is very irresponsible... No criminal gang should be tolerated in a functional society whether they are a threat to the local community or not.

this is the funniest advice i have seen on this thread. you are advising a jew abi na ju them dey call am to report a cultist to authorites? seriously? did they cut the police hand from typing nbm or vikings or ban or whatever cult name he knows on twitter or instagram and see their members? these guys dont hide their identity. go to instagram and twtter and see them flaunting everything. ok maybe the police and other relevant authorities are blind abi?

Do you even understand what you read or respond to?

You have been yapping about these boys exporting these gangs to foreign soils, and I advised you can report to authorities once you are convinced they have a semblance or link/affiliation to these notorious groups.

This was me assuming you were residing overseas and your concerns were genuine. Or you genuinely feel these countries lack the tools to checkmate foreign gangs on their soil? undecided

You must also not fail to defend the good course as your comments are so important in making youths stay away from cultism. You should that no matter how good a course is , some few ones will still hit the dislike button. I will continue my story and how i lost my boy who become a member of the movement for just 5 days before getting killed. How i lost 3 men who drowned during jolly . How they drowned when we Police invaded the initiation and we all ran for safety and the three major exit where blocked and the only exit was the river leading to Gordons beach , Macarthy. How we left the 3 men there and we reminded them in our actions that KOROFO FOR ALL, ALL MAN FOR HIMSELF. They drowned when the police where getting close to them.

The foundation of this thread is so powerful and we should not be shaken by comments trying so hard to derail this thread. I will be back tomorrow to continue my story.

A substantial percentage of those citations are still within our local academic community.

Which invalidates the point that local scholars intentionally avoid certain citations.

We derive joy quoting local scholars, especially those within the same department or same institution.

If your work is relevant.. Your citations go plenty. It doesn't need to be a grand research.
Education / Re: Professor Sanjay: The Most Published Researcher In Nigeria Is Not A Nigerian by jmaine: 9:02am On Jul 09, 2020
CodeTemplar:

Your points about citations while valid can suffer from the kind of isolation the strife among these schools and researchers can generate.

A lecturer/researcher in maybe UI or UNN who is ordinarily suppose to cite or reference the work of a CU researcher, being conscious of how it will work towards improving the reputation of CU/the CU researcher, may shy away from doing so. The fact that there so many of these papers rolling off their research mill also means someone somewhere maybe overwhelmed with their rate and unable to deal with them thoroughly enough, and therefore lead to lower citation.

Lol, your take is hilarious... In the academic environment, who has the time to look at your institution before referencing your work. Once our ideas tally, you are referenced.

Local referencing is even encouraged to expand and publicize the work of local scholars.

Research is now globalized, with tools like researchgate which makes published articles more visible, you don't even need a Nigerian audience to have a huge citation index.

Volumes of published works doesn't affect your citation index, except you are publishing monotonous topics. Even in such circumstances, we have hundreds of millions of researchers who may find your interesting research worth referencing.

There is no mistake that can’t be corrected. Once you’re out of the confinement of school environment, repent genuinely, change you’re circle and avoid all old habits, friendships & acquaintances then there’s hope of coming through.

I know a number of ex cultist who have mended their ways and made peace with God. They publicly speak to teens and youths on their past experiences with emphasis on the negative effects it had on their lives and those of people they know closely.

It’s not until they take the risk of renouncing publicly in the same area they committed all such attrocities. There are many ways to skin a cat.

Thank you... The essence is ensuring others don't make the same mistakes one did...

That is a positive way of imparting into the next generation in their own little ways.

same old lines of asking cultist to denounce. once a cult member always a cult member. dont deceive yourself or people reading this. denouncing a secret cult in naija is the worst thing anyone can ever do. i wrote it before and i will quote it again here. lets say u a a member of svc or aye and all other cults know u are a member of that particular cult, dont you know that even after you denounce it, the other rival cult will never know u denounced it and if there is a hit, they will come for you? do u guys even think before you type? so if you are a vikings and u denounce and vikings and ban have an issue and they come for you, you will tell them that, hey please i denounced vikings years ago oooo. please dont kill me i am no more a member. does that even make sense? you are better off remaining a cultist than denouncing because once you do you loose security consciousness and u are likely to be killed anytime. i always tell people that there are some mistakes that can never be corrected. JOINING A CULT AND PARTAKING IN HITS AND KILLINGS IS A MISTAKE THAT CAN NEVER BE CORRECTED. people think they can denounce it, run to a country abroad etc. they forget that presently these bastards have taken their shittt abroad. here in europe, it is so open that you wonder if these people actually know what they came here to do

In other words.... This thread is totally useless... Just say it and let us be done with the semantics laced in a lot of lines..

P:S: The people exporting it to foreign countries are still the active players this thread is trying to expose..

With the various expose on this thread, you can do your bit by reporting them to the appropriate authorities to deal with them...

That is enough plus to what this thread represents...

who cares, my point is made. stop asking girls to commit abortion. yu and these useless killer cultist are the same

OK.. With the rate you are going... You will equate mastubation and gang violence as the same thing, since we are technically killing off babies..

This thread is existing because people are willing to tell their stories from a personal and third man perspectives..

Most regretted doing the terrible things they did and are trying to atone by telling the next generation the dangers and ills that come with the terrain. So some of you mouthing off that we are glorifying killers are obviously lost.

A known atheist rat on this thread even had to label us fools cos we are encouraging people to tell their tale. Surprisingly, the people holding this school of thought are those who aren't happy over the bold step the OP and others are doing in denouncing, and demystifying the useless and fruitless groups of violent gangs.

We have prominent members of the society who denounced these groups and were open about it. The society embraced them cos they became anti cult activists to the next generation who cared to listen..

There is a pastor today who told us a story about his grace towards repentance . He was a notorious gang hit man, he knew he was a high target so he had guns planted in various portions of his house to counter surprise hits. His entire self con apartment was like a mini armory for any emergencies. His juju was also very tight and always renewed. Lo and behold, just like it happens always with the ways of the devil, he was mapped, and his opponents successfully broke into his house and he was surrounded. Within him he knew it was time and gave up the struggle. They started taunting him that his time was up and they are there to give him a terrible end. Man simply dropped his gun and confidently told them, he knew his time has come, that whatever happened to him was for the glory of his game, and he does not regret it one bit. He humbly instructed they should go ahead and do what they have to do. That he is ready to pay the ultimate price. Perhaps, the guys were expecting a huge resistance cos they knew he has been a hard nut to crack for years. But his total submission even with a pistol took them aback, instead of giving him a brutal end. They warned him that this should be the last time they will visit him if he doesn't change. Shockingly he was left alone. That was grace over his life, and from that point he knew God had a special plan for him. As soon as they left, he went straight to a church close to his house that midnite and cried for repentance.

When such notorious people tell you about the ills of cultism, you will be forced to listen to him cos he has seen, and played it all at the highest level.

No one should come here trying to praise or whitewash their depraved packs of blood baying demons, or try to justify their membership over some warped ideology handed down to them like the zombies they are. There is nothing different from your likes and the brainwashed BH dolts who feel they on the right part blowing innocent souls to smithereens over some silly ideologies.

This thread is here to stay... The end game is to drum the fact that cultism does not pay... It increases the risk of dying over the most flimsy of excuses, all for scores to be counted. Nigeria as a society is laced with thousands of easy death traps already. Imagine increasing the odds by having a perpetual target on your back.

A word is enough for the wise.........

One of their lecturers, one Dr Samuel Daramola (of Department of Electrical and Information Engineering) plagiarized someone else's work by using the person's data without acknowledgement. The owner found out and sent him a mail, yet he still had the audacity to ask the work owner to "sell it to him at an affordable price". As in, he wasn't willing to retract the work but he was willing to pay his way out. Very irresponsible. This is what pressure to churn out papers may lead to. They better check these excesses.
