Your first paragraph is even the reason why increasing the minimum wage is sacrosanct because taxes have increased astronomically under this administration. We are currently being taxed for like never before.

Cost of living has increased by a hundred fold and you still talk about workers salaries causing inflation. Does the humongous amount of money we pay for rents, transport, fuel, and food items not increase money in circulation? Why is it only the meagre salaries civil servants receive that you remember as a source inflation?

If government would not increase minimum wage to at least 200k, then an alternative would be to reduce the number of days civil servants work in a week. Going by their current meagre pay, we can reduce the number of days they work to like twice or even once in a week so that they can use the rest of the days to pursue alternative means of income so as to survive the current high cost of living. Let government weigh both options and agree on which is better for the country.

Are you aware of the current rate of increase in the cost of virtually everything in the country? In Enugu for instance, do you know that the rent for 3-bedroom flat which used to be 300k just some 3 years ago now goes for 1.5M? Just imagine the proportion with which rent increased in just 3 years. Within this same period, cost of virtually everything that supports living has increased in the same proportion as house rents. Despite this humongous increases, civil servants still receive peanuts as salary!

This is how you ladies readily turn the blames against the man and accuse him of being responsible for your infertility! Cases of sterility in men are very insignificant compared to the various fertility issues that occur in women. For this reason, women are responsible for 98% of cases of infertility in marriage, but the society and the womenfolk would try to shift the blames to the man.

This is why I believe that marrying a working class or educated ladies is totally useless to a man and should never be prioritised because most of them share the same mindset as this lady. Minimum wage does not raise prices of goods and services the way increase in fuel prices do. The major driving forces that seem to raise prices in the markets are increased fuel prices and the exchange rates of the naira to dollar.

Giving the prevailing economic conditions, minimum wage should be in the range of 200K to 250K! Some states are already paying 100k, so what's the difference? If government truly want to cushion the effects of the high inflation rate on workers, minimum wage should be raised to at least 200k.

Nigerian workers are currently the worst hit by the high cost of living in the country. Traders have since increased the prices of their goods. Artisans have equally increased prices of their services likewise transporters increased transport fares. Landlords too have increased rents by over 300% in most places, yet civil servants still earn peanuts! NLC and TUC must fight hard to get the minimum wage raised to at least 200K before next year's election!

I've a brother who used to work in the North. When I enquired about the healthcare services in the state , he told me there's no much pressure on him due to the fact virtually all services being by FMC are equally provided by state owned health system. As a result, some of the people prefer visiting the state owned hospitals.

Unlike here in the South East where there's so much dependent on either FMC, federal teaching hospitals or private clinics.

The reason why it is so in the southeast is because most state governments neglect state hospitals and most of these hospitals run with poor equipment and gross shortage of qualified healthcare professionals! For this reason, people don't have confidence in these hospitals.

Instead of marrying for the right reasons of mutual love and respect within a monogamous relationship, you married for all the wrong reasons in this world and now that the marriage has crashed you're castigating marriage? These fallacious claims are borne out of the desire to deceive the younger girls and make them reject marriage proposals from older men. These older women do this in a bid to have a the older guys settle for them when they can't get much younger girls to marry. It is a strategy which they're using to ensure that the eligible older men are left with no choice than to settle in marriage with the older generation of women!

The fact is that men age like wine which becomes stronger and better with time. In this country, it takes a lot of time for a guy to become financially ready to start a family due to the economic situation of the country. This is why most marriageable men are those already in their late 30s to early or even mid 40s.

These older women spread the lies that men have biological clock and would not be able to father a child at older ages. Evidence around us have proven such claims to be false because even in our immediate families, many of us were born while dads were in their 50s and early 60s. So, what biological clock are they now talking about?

They also claim that at such ages, men lose their virility and become impotent. This claim is also arguably false because, except in the cases where the man suffers from chronic illnesses that affect their sexual effectiveness, healthy men still retain their sexual potency even up to the age of 70 in some cases..if at my age, I still have those embarrassing moments of genital attention in the public, then I can tell you that such claims are unfounded.

We know that most cases of infertility in marriage occur from the side of the woman! But these old women like to twist facts and put the blames squarely on the men. For this reason, men who are being accused of being responsible for infertility in their marriages should not sit back and swallow all the humiliations and insults. Let them try their potency and fertility outside with much younger girls! I'm very sure that the result will always be positive.

As a man, when you have suffered all your life and eventually make money to be considered marriageable by the greedy female gender, save yourself all the troubles of having to struggle with bearing children by marrying from the pool of much younger girls. If you know that you desire to start having children immediately after marriage, then do yourself a favour by marrying a girl in the age range of 18 to 22. An uncle of mine got married at 42 to a 38years old lady, he's now 62 without a child. His wife is now 58 and obviously reached menopause. Now, imagine if this man had married a girl in the age range of 18 to 22, he would have had all the children he wanted before even crossing the age of 50 so that he could have used his working years to take care of them and help them stand. Now he's retired and without a child! His case makes me sad whenever I remember him because he's a good man by all standards.

Now to the young girls, learn to set your priorities right. As you go through the various social media platforms, don't be deceived by what you read or hear there from those older women discouraging you from marrying older men. In Nigeria today, those older guys are the most eligible for marriage by all standards. They are more financially and mentally stable to handle marriage! Besides, provision for the family goes seamlessly when you are dealing with the far older men! If you know that you want to marry on time and have your children easily, then your best bet is marrying a more stable older man.

It is very good when girls marry early because aside reducing the problem of infertility in marriage,it helps reduce the chances of complications and high risk pregnancies. The problem of genetic diseases and congenital anomalies is also greatly minimised when a woman starts bearing children early! So, don't be deceived by those selfish older women who want you to remain unmarried just like them. A word is enough for the wise!
