Mbah's government is one with a lot of difference! A shift from the old order of misgovernance and political cronyism. He has set a standard on how Enugu state should be governed going forward and even after his second term in 2031, Enugu should continue in the same trajectory as of Mbah's administration. I pray a misfit doesn't take over from him sha.

Good advice but only the wise ladies would agree with him. Wise ladies understand that marrying a man whom they love more than the men love them is like giving such men the rope with which they tie such women in the marriage. I tell you! Sometimes when I see those policemen collecting money from drivers on the roads, I only pity them. People are going through a lot in this economy! With the way this economy is, minimum wage ought to be around 500k so people can at least feed and transport to work. Nobody is even talking about luxury but being able to live a comfortable life.

Not only Abuja. This is a serious problem most civil servants are currently facing. Most mid-level civil servants earn in the range of 200-300k per month and the money finishes in less than 2 weeks of receiving it leaving them to suffer untold hardships for the rest of the month.

It's an issue government should look into else they should allow these workers work only part-time and use the rest of their time to do other things to survive.

I suspect that local delicacy "Okpa" that almost every household consume. There's little or no justification for children as little as 5 years old to suffer from kidney if not for what they consume as food and not herbal concoction.

Wicked Nigerians who are bent in making money at all cost mix harmful substances to increase the volume of Okpa, Red oil, colouring, etc. These harmful chemicals are the root causes of the high rate of kidney disease in the state.

Mothers should make their own foods at home, buy red oil from trusted sources. Government regulatory bodies should live up to their constitutional responsibilities and enforce strict compliance, prosecute offenders to serve as deterrent to others.

Enough of the rhetoric, we want to see action in motion.

Most people in Enugu prepare their okpa with pure palm oil! Okpa has nothing to do with the increasing rise in kidney disease! Bulk of the problem is caused by self medication whereby untrained people administer drugs indiscriminately with no knowledge of adverse effects of such drugs!

Selling on credit is necessary for you to build and retain customers. Not that you'll just be selling on credit to just any buyer that comes to you, but there are customers you have done business with overtime and those are the ones you should sell on credits to when they ask for it.

Honestly, the cost of house rents in Enugu state is outrageous! People are just plainly being wicked to their tribesmen while making fallacious claims about tax increase by government!

Urgent steps really need to be taken by the state government to check the activities of greedy landlords and agents in the state.

You're not a good business person then. Every smart business person knows that one way to keep customers loyal is by selling on credit especially to customers who have built trust over time! This is one reason some people succeed in business while others fail. So op, continue refusing to sell on credit to your customers let's see how far you go in business!

Always seek the services of a healthcare professional whenever you're sick. Pharmacists for instance can be consulted without extra charges and they're the closest to you. They can easily detect when things are about to go out of control and refer you appropriately!

Yet some of you would claim gender equality when it suits your selfish ends.

Guys, if you must spend on a woman in relationships or marriage, go for much younger girls of legal ages. Avoid old cargoes with so many baggages! Don't let anyone cajole you into settling for any lady above 23. E get why!

Yet salary of civil servants remained the same within the period! Op, you also omitted the cost of house rents! People are doomed in this country especially civil servants.

Business people and artisans would readily adjust their prices accordingly whenever costs of living get increased as above but government would not agree to increase workers' salaries in line with the changes. Most civil servants in Nigeria now exhaust their salaries within the first week of receiving it.

I wonder what you mean by pro-pharmacy politics! Those unscrupulous elements operating in the bridgehead market are not to be compared in anyway to the noble profession of pharmacy by any informed and right-thinking person. They remain what they are; illiterates who are taking advantage of the poor regulatory environments of Nigeria to poison their victims who, in most cases, are as uninformed as they themselves.

My concerns about the activities of those quacks centre around the well-being of the general public because I very much understand the dangers posed by those guys to public health.

The loaders were obviously carrying controlled drugs! I blame this on the government that failed to close down that death zone called drug market and establish the coordinated wholesale centres in the country. If that had been done, the criminals operating in that market would have been put in proper check's.

First of all, the civil service in all local governmenrs, states and even the the federal are bloated. Reduce the number by half, and it will still be bloated. Paying generous benefit to all retired staff will bankrupt all tiers of government.

Seccondly, Nigeria collects very little as taxes. Barely 10% of GdP. Meanwhile, Cote D'ivoire collects 27%. Tax take is too poor to provide generous pension.

It is very necessary that whatever pensions that are paid out are affordable to the gocernment as generous entitlement programs are a sutefire way to ruin a country.

When it comes to workers' welfare, you quickly remember that paying generously would ruin the country, but politicians who loot public funds and spend extravagantly don't ruine the country

Those of you who are always quick to talk about the negative impacts of improved worker's pay on the economy also fail to consider all the other factors that contribute to the depreciation of the values of our currency which can be worked on to strengthen our currency. You forget about closing all the loopholes through which our politicians loot the national treasury, increasing our productivity levels by creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive and attract foreign investors, building refineries and increasing our exports of both oil and non-oil resources etc.

You're always ready to go against any actions geared towards improving workers' welfare because you're not in the same shoes as these workers. Do you know that most Nigerian workers now exhaust their salaries within the first week of receiving it due to the rooftop increase in cost of living? Ask yourself, how do these workers survive for the rest of the month when their salaries get finished!

Is it better for these workers to stop going to work once their salaries finish and look for alternative means of earning money? Do you consider the impact this would have on the same economy you think you are protecting by discouraging any increment in workers' salaries Honestly, I would not blame any Nigerian worker who doesn't go to work these days on account of lack of funds. They have every justification to stay away from work while pursuing alternative means of livelihood.

This is why I strongly advocate that civil service jobs in Nigeria should become part-time or the number of working days should be reduced to a maximum of 2 weeks per month. Nigerian civil servants are seriously suffering under the current economic reality in the country.

Most workers have their salaries exhausted in just the first week of receiving it, leaving them suffering until the next pay. Yet when you talk about increasing their pay, the government would not want to pay attention to that. Let's all put ourselves in the shoes of these workers. The current pay is unfair to say the least!

Therefore, if government cannot increase the worker's salaries substantially to an amount that can at least sustain them for the month then they should alternatively reduce the number of days in a month workers should go to work. This would enable these workers to utilise the free days to engage in other economic activities that can fetch them extra incomes. This is very important at this point in time because people are really suffering!
