bro, that is not what I asked you.

how will this bill for power rotation put Nigeria "on the path of genuine nationhood which will usher in a new era of fulfillments by all the peoples of Nigeria"?
I'm very sure that you understand what I mean but chose to pretend not to. So, I'll leave you to whatever games you're up to

You're asking me? You don't know that Nigeria is in its present state of political and economic instability because of lopsidedness in the affairs of the nation which has left many Nigerians unsatisfied and disgruntled

Do you know how nations are supposed work Nations are supposed to be such that citizens are ready to die for the good of their country. How many Nigerians are ready to die in a war for Nigeria of today None! If you want to be honest with yourself.

A position as sensitive as that isn't meant for trial, if at all you have to change someone in such position, he/she must be someone who really understands the structure and must have cimb the ladder of hierarchy to atleast a position that's 1 or 2 lesser in rank to that of the chairman, and I want to believe that the Access board has done maximum scrutiny and couldn't find someone worthy enough, reason why they had to go and call someone out of retirement to fill the vacuum.

It's no child's play, they know better than you do
They might not really have done any scrutiny! Such positions are just political! A lot of political fireworks take place underground and those who play better get appointed! It has little to do with competence!

I think it's a good bill but I don't know how this will work in the case of senators and House of rep members that don't have term limits.
What it means is that they'll now technically have term limits!

If these amendments sell through, then Nigeria would be on the path of genuine nationhood which will usher in a new era of fulfillments by all the peoples of Nigeria.

It's actually not bad if you did well in a position, and after some years you are being beckoned on to take the leadership mantle again.

If it's your own company, would you have chosen a rookie over an experience person with a record of success to oversee a sensitive position like that?

Congrats to him
How would you know that there are people who can outperform him if you refuse to give others the opportunity
This is why stagnation has been the order of the day in Nigeria! Always recycling those who never really made great impacts!

Congrats to him though

Hehehe.

Most civil servants in Nigeria are not just productive. But when you hear them talking about how government is owing them, you would think they perform wonders grin cheesy tongue.

Any government that will make civil servants to wake up from their slumber, will really go a long way to move the country to a greater height.

A lot of ghost workers on payroll.
Not all civil servants are unproductive! Go to our public hospitals and other healthcare institutions, you'll see health professionals being overworked due to shortage of manpower. You'll see Pharmacists for instance doing back to back calls because the hospital is understaffed. Likewise medical doctors and nurses! This has led people into making errors because health professionals are supposed to work for a certain number of hours and handover to the next person (s) in order to still maintain accuracy in patients care.

Politics / Re: Akpabio lamented Obi received more applause during Wigwe's funeral - Peterside by Jman06(m): 7:13pm On Mar 11
Fujiyama:

No he shouldn't be 'forgiven'.

Some of us didn't really know that much about this man until he became a federal legislator and came under greater scrutiny. The PR machine which so many Nigerian politicians operate sold the idea that Akpabio was a competent and effective governor. It is now clear that the man is not who he was marketed to be.

This senate president is a deeply compromised man who has no values, no integrity, no gravitas, no appreciation of the weight of his office, no sense of a higher purpose, nothing. undecided The man is empty. Full stop.

His stint as senate president so far has been marked by one stupid, immoral, undignified, unedifying episode after the other. He has failed to provide the leadership necessary to keep the executive in check. As long as he remains there, Nigerians will not get anything remotely close to the legislative oversight that is necessary for this country to make even a little progress. undecided

Project Failure continues, full speed ahead.

You cannot plant beans and harvest cocoyam.
Akpabio is a great man and that's undisputable. Although he sometimes do or say things that portray him as not serious, his great works in Akwaibom are there for everyone to see.

His only fault is that he sometimes makes light of serious political matters and that could be because he sees politics as a game at all time.

RIP to you, pretty lady!

You may not know it, but you impacted the world positively through those great p0rn videos you featured in. Those pleasurable moments some of us spend watching you helped us overcome depression and earthly worries, at least for the period.

Sometimes I ask myself, if not for those pleasurable moments we occasionally enjoy in this life, what could have been our fates in this problematic world? Perhaps suicide rates would have been so high! This is why it is important that everybody finds a way to pleasure themselves and have fun in this life. It is very very important!

Health / Re: Japa: Nigeria Lost 16,000 Doctors In Five Years – Minister by Jman06(m): 12:49pm On Mar 11
Waivers should be granted to all federal healthcare institutions to replace health workers continuously as they leave. The japa syndrome isn't something that can be stopped as long as Nigeria remains a third world country. In fact, japa should even be encouraged as a way to improve our foreign exchange and transfer medical knowledge and techniques from foreign to local health institutions.

Government hospitals should have offices where qualified healthcare professionals and doctors can easily go and submit their CVs and be considered for available jobs without long protocols. Also, remuneration and work environment should be improved.

If as a fellow Igbo person you don't see the evil in this baby factory practice, then you lack wisdom!
Instead of encouraging our brothers and sisters to set their priorities right and plan towards getting married early enough to be able to conceive the next generation of true Igbos, y'all are here disgracing yourselves by supporting nonsense!

If this menace of forming families through baby factories persists in igboland, then Igbos are bound to go extinct in the shortest possible time. We're gradually losing our values as a people, honestly!

I knew the governor would transfer the heat from opposition and the public to a scapegoat publicly, this will show the public that the commissioner was the person behind his low public perception.

If the commissioner has a plan B , then he should go on it full blast because egetwhy
Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo does not have a low public perception, well except from illiterates who do not understand anything about good governance. He's one of the outstanding governors in Nigeria in terms of good governance!

I'm sure that even Peter Obi acknowledges the fact that Soludo is doing well. We must learn to encourage those leaders who are trying to make some positive difference in our political ecosystem.

Ride on, Mr Governor!

Anambra has been blessed with some quality leaders from the days of Peter Obi. I wish Enugu state could enjoy same blessing! Peter Mbah, we're watching o! You've started well and I pray you continue in the same pace and not let political jobbers mislead you.

successmatters:
What section of the Nigerian constitution did these people violate?

Lawyers?

They lived in a house, this is even a 4 storey, 10 flats affair. I am sure most Nigerians from some parts cannot dream of living in this kind of house.

They were not crying for hunger, the report didn't say they were being starved. In contrast, hunger is beating the hell out of many other Nigerians in different states.

They were not reported sick or dying.

They were not doing prostitutiin with their pregnancy load, no report of such in the news.

They even had children they are taking care of, while some other children are roaming around this country begging food with plastic plates on the streets

They were not reported to be causing any havoc in their area.

I am willing to learn.

You should be ashamed of yourself for making the above post.

So, humans should now be equated to animals that can be kept at a place, bred by some irresponsible men with some bad gene pools and then traded in the market like some articles No more dignity for humans? Mind you, many of those girls are held against their wills! That's worse than slavery!

Romance / Re: Should I Forgive My Husband For Cheating? by Jman06(m): 10:27pm On Mar 09
He hasn't cheated in real life, just flirting online. Not saying that's good though but I think you should forgive him and go on with the marriage since he's remorseful.

However, you've got to sound a note of warning to him that there won't be anymore grace of forgiveness for him if he ever strays once again.

I don't believe that the problem stems from killing of Igbo men as portrayed in the report.

Igbo ladies are simply getting greedier by the day and many Igbo men are unemployed, underemployed or engaged in one unclean biz or another.

My philosophy is that if a woman hits you and it feels like a man hitting you, then hit her back. On the contrary, if the hitting feels like that of a lady, then ignore and even run away.

Some women are endowed with masculine strength!
