Leftrightcenter: I think there is an option of 'school official.' You will be fine with selecting that. Thank you for your response. The school official thing is for the US point of contact section. For the who is paying for this trip section, one has to actually write the correct detail for 'relationship to you' and that's why I'm asking. |

Greetings nairalanders. Please in the DS 160, I was told that fully funded applicants should fill their school as who is paying for this trip. My question is that under that section where one is to fill the details of the school, what is best to write for the 'relationship to you'? |

Alright, thank you very much. OyoTunjiUSA: Hey 🤠
1. Follow the date stipulated in your Form -120. Naturally you may round off your program before then but your Host-institution has calculated extra time , in the case of illness, natural disaster , changes in calendars etc.
2. Another point is that , your Form I 20 will keep you staying back in the USA (until the I 20 expiration date) even if your F1 visa has expired before then. Follow the Form I 20.
Best Wishes .🙏 |

Hi guys, please I need your comments. My i20 states the duration of my program to be 7 years - even though I expected to see something like 5yrs thereabout, but then now I am filling the 'lenght of stay in the US' section of my DS-160 form. I would like to confirm if the 7yrs duration on my i20 is what I should fill in the length of stay in the US section of my DS-form. Thanks! |

Sadly, tribalism and religious sentiments will never make Nigerians collectively say "enough is enough." nitt: A people get the leaders they deserve.

We don't have a compassionate government at all. Given the current economic crisis brought about by the removal of subsidy, salaries ought to be paid on or before 26th of every month. I am flabbergasted that up till now, no salaries paid yet. This is sardonic and seriously lugubrious. |

This kind of government won't agree to pay such money without making noise about it in the media first. So by not hearing anything about the news, I strongly doubt that it's true. |

Please I need advice nairalanders... I've been sending emails to professors in the US to request their supervision as I intend to start applying for PhD Biomedical Sciences in Fall next year, but with over 20 emails sent, none has given a positive response. 11 of them gave one excuse or the other such as not being interested in taking new students, being retired since beginning of the year, closed down lab so not taking new students.
I knew there would be rejections but I thought it's good I share the whole stuff here just in case I can get helpful tips, as I plan to send more emails. |

Nawa oh jswagg4: Funny enough, it's not like they aren't paying o but this one is very slow. I confirmed from here and other places that people got paid even yesterday Sunday and this morning. I will personally speculate that the fraud they detected was too much. I even read where one civil servant on GL 6 who was supposed to earn 60k was being paid 400k. Meaning that the corrupt IPPIS people will share the rest N340k. Imagine that amount for just one case o. Talk more of the rest o. So I think they are cleaning up, reconfiguring and trying to pay at the same time. Just my thoughts |

That's the news he saw Whitemanbongo: The Federal Government (FG), 36 states and 774 local governments (LG) in Nigeria shared N2.84 trillion as statutory allocation from the Federation Account Allocation Committee, FAAC, in the first four months of this year (January to April). You're even the one here spreading fake news. No FAAC meeting held yet, or I guess you're the one who chaired the meeting where 2.84 trillion was shared yesterday. Rinoxy: You should have just asked if FAAC allocation has been done instead of spreading false news. FAAC was done yesterday pls and the amount was 2.84trillion. |

Besides, why in a rush to label me as spreading fake news? I only shared my observation; which could be right or wrong. Must everything be about fake news?
