The first death happened in eden . Frim that time every man coming to the world were born dead because of the sin of Adam which passed upon men .

So what made a man dead is not his personality sin but the sin he inherited from Adam. Jesus refered to people alive as dead

You see . Theres no deception. If you embrace jesus today you shall be saved from second death . Eternal separation
