Ozo wins HoH challenge , picks Nengi as Deputy HOH Big Brother Naija, BBNaija housemate Ozo, has picked Nengi as his deputy Head of House, after emerging as the leader of the house for the second time.

The first time Ozo won the Head of House challenge, he picked Dorathy as deputy.
Ozo emerged the HoH after a tough game which saw stiff challenge from the likes of Prince, Vee, and Triky Tee.

After emerging as the HoH, he wasted no time in picking Nengi as his deputy.

When Big Brother asked him for a second and third choice should Nengi decline, he picked Dorathy and Vee. She didn’t decline, and both are immune from this Sunday’s eviction and would enjoy the coveted Head of House lounge together.

UNILAG Senate Meets To Choose Acting VC The Senate of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) is presently meeting to choose an Acting Vice-Chancellor despite the institution’s Registrar, Oladejo Azeez sending an email to Senate members to wait for further clarification on their assignment.

This follows President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive on Friday that due process should be followed – which is that the Senate should elect an Ag. VC as opposed to the Governing Council doing so.

The President also asked the Council-appointed Ag. VC, Prof. Theophilus Soyombo to step down.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says single ladies are to go for drug tests before getting married.

NDLEA Chairman, Mohammed Mustapha Abdalla, made this known on Friday, August 21, while destroying seized illicit substances in Maiduguri.

Abdalla said drug tests may be included in premarital screenings due to the increase in the rate of cannabis Sativa, cocaine, and heroin addiction among women in the country.

He said: “As an extension of the proposed Drug Integrity Test Policy for the public servants, the agency is considering partnering with religious leaders to make drug testing a prerequisite for marriages in churches and mosques as the case for HIV/AIDS”,

The Oyo State Police command has denied that Ikolaba Divisional Police Headquarters, Ibadan, was attacked by gunmen Friday evening.

It said in a statement yesterday that two policemen attached to the divisional police headquarters were at the opposite side of the road to the station when they were attacked by hoodlums in an unidentified moving vehicle.

Nigerian Man Breaks Down In Tears As Woman Rejects His Proposal In Public (video) A video of a Nigerian man caught crying by the roadside after a lady rejected his public proposal has been making the rounds on social media.

The young man was seen in the video, on one knee begging the lady who doesn’t seem happy with the public display, to accept his proposal.

A 16-year-old boy identified as Adeniyi Muhammed has been arrested by the Ogun state police command for allegedly stealing 14 used female panties.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspect was arrested following a report by one of his victims, Amudalat Opaleye, on Kano Street, Ayetoro. According to Amuda, on Tuesday Adeniyi sneaked into her room, stole her panties but was caught while trying to leave.

While interrogation him, another 14 used woman panties were recovered from the boy’s house.

Upon confirmation, when asked what he needed the panties for, he said he was sent by somebody to get the panties for him. The police has started an investigation to find other party involved in the crime

A Nigerian man identified as Fortune recounts how he was allegedly assaulted sexually by a couple in Ibadan.

Fortune said he was stranded at a point in the city and requested for a lift from the couple who were going his way.

In his narration, he said the lady who appeared to be drunk tried to touch him, but he rejected only to get the worst humiliation of his life.

Buhari’s Former Press Secretary, Wada Maida Is Dead The Chairman, Board of Directors of the News Agency of Nigeria, and member of the Executive Board of International Press Institute, Malam Wada Maida dies at 70.

The 70-year-old was the Chief Press Secretary to President Muhammadu Buhari when he was Head of State in 1984.

A police officer who was accused of molesting a woman’s corpse, has been sued by her family for ‘invading their privacy, inflicting emotional distress, and mishandling human remains.’

A lawsuit filed on Tuesday, August 11, in LA Superior Court by the deceased’s family identifies the officer, David Rojas, and accuses other unnamed LAPD employees of viewing and sharing bodycam footage of the alleged incident.

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has listed out the names of 23 Companies used by the National Assembly (NASS) to receive N9 Trillion contracts, Ekohotblog reports.

Buhari orders payment of NDDC scholarship students President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the payment of fees and stipends of stranded scholarship students of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) studying abroad.

A statement signed by the NDDC Director, Corporate Affairs, Charles Odili, said Buhari conveyed the directive to the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, following the protest of the students.

Odili said the students would be paid by the end of the week explaining that the delay was caused by the sudden death of Chief Ibanga Etang, the then Acting Executive Director, Finance and Administration, EDFA, of the Commission in May.
