Politics / Re: Updated: How 22 Exxon Mobil offshore staff were arrested by Rivers Govt by jodeci(m): 11:47am On Apr 17, 2020
Throwback:

Actually, the news report wasn't that specific.

In fact, the report kind of suggested they were head to a place that was close to the border with Akwa-Ibom, not that they were coming from the border.

If indeed they travelled across the border that is heavily fortified by police, why were they allowed to come into the state without any waiver previously granted by the state government that put the police there?

Or did they come in through the bush like smugglers?

According to PENGASSAN Exxon Mobile Branch Secretary, Kingsley Udoidua, “At about 3:30pm on Thursday April 16, 2020, Rivers State commissioner of police with his team and a top Army commander intercepted the convoy (protected by the police) conveying 21 ExxonMobil personnel who are PENGASSAN members on their way to Intels, Port Harcourt, at Bori (Akwa Ibom/Rivers boundary).

They were escorted across heading to intels in PH from akwaibom state. Exxon mobil operates in akwaibom but has base in intels in ph for certain level of staff members.

Throwback:
Rivers state is not even on a lockdown so people go to work daily, and what the state government declared is a restrictions of movement across the state boundary

So why were they arrested?

Did they cross the border from a neighbouring state into Rivers state?

From the news you would have seen that they were coming from Akwaibom state to Rivers and were arrested when they have crossed the boundary from Akwa Ibom to River State. They were going to Intels Camp in Rivers state.

Car Talk / Re: Pls How Much Would Replace A Deployed Airbag On Honda Accord Babyboy!!! by jodeci(m): 9:09pm On Apr 16, 2020
KINGreignn:

It's a very risky and highly sensitive task to undertake and it's also expensive to perform. For instance, to fix an airbag in this Honda, a minimum of 50k may not even do everything.

I dont mess around it,heard it could deploy without even an impact if one touches wrong wires or sensors. At least it could be fixed in Nigeria, that puts my mind at rest now.

Yes, they can. I've restored a number of them.
Whoaa!! this is good, have always had this thinking that airbags are non repairable in Nigeria.

I am still trying to wrap my head around the power outage/generator refusing to come on story and his death and I don't believe it for one bit.
Assuming he was intubated and on oxygen, definitely Oxygen supply doesn't require a power supply, unless they were using oxygen concentrator, which I doubt.
It's also most unlikely any hospital of that status carrying out such costly and delicate surgery would not be on assured power supply during the surgery.
What I see here is someone or people using the power/generator as an excuse for something more serious that went wrong.
Either the patient himself wasn't healthy at all to have undergone any type of surgery that involved the type of anaesthesia he was put under or something went wrong during the procedure itself.
The generator stuff is just bunkum and I am very sure,an autopsy,if it's allowed to be performed, would show the man died of a medical ailment, that has no link at all to power being available or not

He died of hypoxia primarily and secondarily cardiac arrest according to his death certificate. The power failure issue is just the root cause.

Opting to remove bellyfat through medical procedure is not bad,it is unfortunate that things went wrong. Exercise/dieting is one of the processes and liposuction is also another. We can choose any.I have seen people drop dead during or shortly after exercise. There are no guarantees.
