mostob:... Lol, you see why I said I no trust you . |
mostob:Lol.... Meaning if they do PSG all or nothing you'll watch? ![]() |
Spy360, this is the sequence that led to the penalty. The purple arrow is the direction of the ball The red marker is the player(attacker) whom the ball was intended for The green marker is Marc Roca. (your supposed 'dangerous' player) From the screenshot we can see how everybody was looking at the direction of the ball(including Ramsdale) and how Saliba had already man marked his attacker before ball mistakenly hit his hand. How will you look at this sequence (with respect to the direction of the ball) and say that Marc Roca (the one marked green) have an open goal opportunity and that the decision for Saliba to handle the ball is a good decision. Isn't it ridiculous to think that Marc Roca who is faraway from the sequence is now the most dangerous so the best way to avoid that is by handling the ball? ![]() How is Saliba handling the ball the best/last resort to prevent Marc Roca from scoring in this scenario? You see why I said you're justifying PKs but you'll say I'm witch hunting you ![]()

ovoP:Lol... You must be kidding sha ![]() Vini can beat a Man, can attack... Can Dan James do it? Valverde to Fred? Lmao .. The only thing comparable to Fred and Valverde is energy. Finish!! Maybe Mendy to Malacia and I'll agree. While Kroos is already old and can be done away with but those two aren't even the core players. We've Vini, Benz, Modric, Valverde. These 4, who can be comparable to them in Man u? |
Spy360:that's a wrong example cos he didn't intentionally clip Kane's leg. You're making it seem as if Pickford deliberately did that but it isn't. Pickford spilled a low shot and in the process of catching the ball back, Kane quickly kicked the ball away from him and commited him(Pickford). Looking at it from all angles, Kane even add dive join but the contact with Pickford was what made that thing a penalty. If Kane wasn't looking for penalty in that scenario, why do you think he dived? You're making it seem conceding a penalty is good and that's the issue.... It is not good!! Whether the penalty is scored or not, it is not good!! There's a reason why attacking teams and fans scream for joy when a penalty is given and there's a reason why the defending team are always downcast when they concede a penalty. That's because this probability of a striker missing it is very very very very low. |
ovoP:Gbam!!... This is really the issue |
ovoP:Well, you might have a point coupled with the fact that la Liga hardly play deep defensive lines compared to EPL but even at that they have players with good ball control in tight spaces, penetrating runs and dribble that can beat a man as well as ruthlessness in front of goal. These are the things I think Man u lack |
nitrogen:I think the biggest issue have been you guys attackers if I'm being honest with what I see. Sancho doesn't do enough especially in beating his man and making darting runs. Antony aside the goals he's scored hardly makes penetrating dribbles too(and he's too one trick pony imho). If those two can work on those abilities, Man u might be more deadlier cos I've seen that Bruno you guys Midfield have improved (Casemiro, Eriksen and Bruno). Those two wingers not deadly enough is what's making man u lacking that ruthlessness |
ChristineC:Tbf, I think you guys are going about it the right way as like you said, it's just being profligate and lack of ruthlessness that's costing Man u recently. Games against omonnia and Newcastle is a good example and if that ruthlessness is there, then the confidence will easily rub off on the team which would yield better gameplay. It might not be perfect tho but goals will surely bring significant change in the way people view the team |
Lush100:God of wonders just deh protect us this season sha. We haven't had any significant injuries and I hope we'll scale through this season |
Roland17:I read he is suffering from this "growth spurt" especially in his groin region or sort which is a rare condition and that's what really have been affecting him. So he was advised to go on this surgery to get it done especially for his future seeing he won't be making the world cup anyway. Since he's done the surgery successfully and he's healing, I believe we'll get to see the best of him from December/January. It's said he needs to be carefully managed and that's what Arsenal are trying to do. He'll come back better ![]() |
Roland17:Lol, I know say you hate spurs cos most of your posts points to that but mehn I didn't know the thing was this deep laidat ooo ![]() Thank goodness say you no dey London, you for dey pepper dem for that city ![]() |
mostob:Taahh!!... I no believe you. So tell me say If Barca get all or nothing, you no go watch? ![]() |
mostob:I didn't dispute the bolded but what I'm saying is that ref never makes any decisions concerning offsides. It's only Var. Any other thing aside offsides (fouls, penalties, violent conduct or sort) is within ref right to check the pitchside monitor. Okay, let's do this. Anytime an Offside call is being reviewed, if ref doesn't go with what Var says but goes to the pitchside monitor to check things out, just call me out. |
Spy360:I'm sorry if I sound so but that's how it you made me understand it ![]() If you feel that Saliba handling that ball in the Penalty area(whether deliberate or not) or Gabriel conceding a penalty against tottenham is a good decision for us to concede a penalty, then It'll be difficult to know how else to put it ![]() |
Spy360:That ball is never a ball to hand. How many handballs are deliberate? Any any handball Is carded (whether deliberate or not), as long as it stops any goalscoring chance(whether it's a big chance or not). That's the reason why Saliba was carded even though his handball wasn't deliberate. And please don't confuse goal-scoring chances with open goal chance please. |
Spy360:1..If this is the question you asked in the first bolded, then the answer is yes. I gave you examples in Saliba ystdy who allowed Bamford a free run to take a shot at goal after his error even when he had the opportunity to "engage". I gave you another example with Ramsdale and Vardy with more recent one in Pope and Rashford this weekend. All these people had the opportunity to engage the attacking player but they preferred the player a free run on open goal and in the case of Saliba, he allowed Bamford a free run on one on one with Ramsdale. 2.. As for the 2nd bolded. That instructions work only when attacking players are outside the Penalty box and never inside. No coach will ever ever tell you do that nonsense inside the penalty box and that's the issue of this our differences. Even Simeone and Mourinho, two of the world's aggressive coaches never ever allow their players to be aggressive in the box. You think if Gabriel slide Richarlison outside the Penalty box, there would be backlash? My contrary opinion is that, no team should try to concede a penalty, no matter what. No team should have a choice to gift his opponent a penalty no matter the situation except if it's last minute or almost last minutes of the game and it's an open goal . Anything aside that, penalty should be avoided at all cost You implying that it's good that Saliba handled the ball just to prevent an open goal from Bamford is totally wrong. Worst part is that Bamford didn't even have an open goal to score from in that sequence leading to the penalty |
Roland17:Lol, ![]() This your hatred strong oo ![]() |
iamoyindamola:I need to watch all or nothing to know whether Bergwijn ball for Tottenham? ![]() Lemme put it this way, would you recommend someone to watch all or nothing —arsenal to prove that Saka balled for us last season. Abi how all or nothing wan show say Partey was very very instrumental to us last season? |
iamoyindamola:Bergwijn didn't ball at Spurs, everyone knew that. If you still want us to consistently drag for 6-8th position, then yeah, Haller is a good replacement for Auba ![]() |
Leyqute:That "5 goals" didn't sound like literal especially when we all know say Arsenal (not Arteta) dey chop 5 goals on a steady from Liverpool. ![]() But now sha wey e don clear, I don dey okay now : DAs for the bolded, I don mark your own say na Feb. Mind you I no dey drag for trophy, if by end of February we still dey in contention for top 4, I go come drag you. So you can keep on waiting and hoping ![]() |
ChristineC:The thing is counter attack is not sustainable in the long run since most teams you guys will meet will not teams not set up to be counter-attacked. Even Madrid dominate small teams and try to break them down with Modric, Vinicius (most especially) and rodrygo. Man city are kings of breaking teams down as well as Liverpool. Granted, you can score counter once in a while, but to make it your standard style of play is a big no no |
raumdeuter:Lol... Na wa ooo
|
iamoyindamola:Will he be the first Ajax player to appear in Balon d'Or list or have nice stats in Ajax? We still dey look Vdb, De Jong and de ligt since they left Ajax. Even bergwijn wey dey average for Tottenham don dey ball Ajax again. If to say you said he's to come as Auba deputy I might agree, but to say Haller should come as a main starter for us. Lai lai |
Lush100:I don't even believe he was struggling since season is still fresh. If you check stats of Kane as at 3 seasons ago down to his Tottenham debut, you'll find out that he's Normally a slow starter meaning most of his first EPL goals starts around Oct or early November time. Yet by end of season he's always winning golden boot or contention for golden boot. So is it logical for someone by September to say Kane is not a good striker? |
mostob:Like any penalty we concede now, Spy would always think it's the right decision and that nothing can be done to avert it. If any team go with that mentality eh, relegation no go sure for them? |
iamoyindamola:This is Haller bundesliga stats. This is someone whom you want us to replace Auba with and take us to the next level . 9 goals first season, 15 goals next season in bundesliga (not even In EPL). That's person you want him to walk straight into our starting 11.I'm not even fooled by his Ajax form reason why I told you he needs to go to a big club and replicate it. It was just unfortunate that Cancer did him bad thing. Btw, Haller was bought for 45m, hope you remember
|
Spy360:What do you mean by technical foul In penalty area. Are you justifying it was a right decision to gift that penalty? That we conceding that penalty was a good one because Bamford had an open goal? In fact, did bamford had an open goal leading to that penalty? I don't understand how someone will say you need to do technical foul to get a penalty just to prevent a goal? No coach advice it and will never do such unless it's last minute of the game (or almost last minute) and there's no other option. And for info, any 'technical' foul that denies an open goal opportunity is a red card. Whether technical or not... It's a red card cos that's the rule. You can't have it both ways. You think if Bamford was really on an open goal, Saliba wouldn't have been red carded? (whether it's a mistake or not). Omo, this is the first time I'm seeing someone glorifying conceding a penalty sha. Something all teams avoid no matter what and all attacking teams pray to have. |
iamoyindamola:it's too early to judge Scamacca same way it's too early to judge G. Jesus, same way it's too early to say arsenal will win the league. But as of current form, Scamacca is doing very very well. I don't know how scoring 6 goals in 14 matches in a Westham team is termed as struggling. Like how does that work? Are you expecting him to score 15g in 14matches in Westham to know he's doing Better? For a team like Westham he's currently doing well. But whether he's a good signing or not will be at the end of season or towards end of season when we can assess him further. Abi no be here Mustafi is called a flop? Didn't he shine during his first few months here? NB: As for Haller stats, me and Blueray have broken it down for you before his move to Ajax. You only found your mouth again when he started banging goals at Ajax. All these things we don dissect them here taya |
mostob:Even Var regulates what the ref sees how much more coach. Moreover, nothing concerns ref with offsides as that's really at the discretion of Var (reason why you never see ref go to pitchside monitor to have a look). So as long as it's Offside, there's nothing ref or even coach can do. All rights points to Var |
mostob:Lol, Var didn't see(or prefer not to see) the offside, if it was seen, the pk wouldn't have been given. So it's the same way, if they didn't see the offside while we no score, why do you think they'll give it when we do? ![]() Abi na you be Var ![]() |
iamoyindamola:if you go through that our convo you'll know I never only rated him because of his Westham stint but also his stint before west ham. It's there na, we argued it and brought out all his stats As for scamacca, currently he's playing well but it's too early to judge. He's even benching Antonio, something Haller found difficult to do as a big signing for them |
