One thing with CBs is that they can play every game and Gabriel can play every game as long as there's no injuries. But if unfortunately there's injury, then White and Saliba will certainly play together.

Arteta's tactics usually favours one side during attacking. That side is where the fullback does not drift infield, while the other FB defends. In the present set up that's the LHS. That's why Martinelli and Xhaka are getting on the score sheet. But we want a situation where things can switch easily to either side depending on the flow of the game. This everyone agrees with. If Tomi replaces White, both our LHS and RHS will be very very effective. We can easily switch play and we'll be deadly from both Sides. Even Zinchenko drifts infield when the ball is on the RHS. It's just that the understanding White needs to have with Odegaard and Saka mostly isn't there yet

Violence misconduct can also be a foul in which the foul will be given and the player sent off for misconduct.
This is so simple; that's a foul on cucurella and a red for Romero and also free kick to Chelsea.

Yeah, I know the var review was immediately after the 1st corner kick and just before the 2nd corner kick. I said so in the 1st and 2nd paragraph of my post.

It's surprising though that Var didn't instruct the ref to look at the pitchside monitor for the review, maybe a red card would have been given. I don't know if hair pulling is a misconduct cos I remember Fellaini pulling guendouzi hair in a game between arsenal and Man u and the ref just showed Fellaini a yellow card. Maybe that's what Var deemed it fit.

My grouse with Var on that incidence yesterday was that they should have instructed the ref to review it personally through the pitchside monitor

Exactly, that's what I wanted to say and that edge is what is making our attack on the RHS not to be as effective as it is normally.

It is two separate corners not a retaken corner, the first corner was tipped over the bar by Mendy which resulted to another corner then VAR reviewing the incident made Taylor to ask perisic to pause from taking the 2nd corner and after the review he ask him to proceed.

This is what happen; Spurs win a corner from bissouma deflected shot and when perisic take the corner that's when pulling of the hair happen because both player are tussling it for the ball and Davies nod the ball goalward which Mendy tipped over the bar which resulted in another corner but before taking the corner VAR stepped in to review the incident in the first corner.

Two things to Note is ; 1. It's two different corner.
2. The ball is in play when the foul happen.

I understand your narration about violence misconduct; it's like saying during a corner or throw in a player headbutt another player that won't change where the throw in is going to.

But the incident today happen almost every match with high volume of corner kicks.
Player pulling their shirts during corner which results in a foul and free kick to the defending team and a penalty to the attacking team but the difference today is that it's not shirt pulling but hair pulling.

The 1st picture perisic already played the ball.

2nd picture the ball was already on air in the box (that's when hair pulling happened).

3rd picture when Davies nod the ball which Mendy tipped over the bar for another corner.

You agree with me now.

One thing with Var is that they have limitations on what to judge. If that act have resulted to a goal(that's Davies scoring instead of Mendy tipping the ball over), then Var would have overruled the goal and given Chelsea a free kick.

But the issue here is that since it's a corner kick and it's believed that the referee didn't see the initial foul(hair-pulling) before the 2nd corner kick, Var would have to step in to see if it's a red card or if the ref will deem it a red card offence. Anything short of a Red card offence (violent conduct) will see play go on — in this case corner kick. Reason because Var doesn't interfere in yellow card offence except the sequence directly leads to goal.

So the issue now is... Was Var/ref correct not to deem that foul as a Red card offence(violent conduct)?

Anybody arguing that it suppose to be a foul and/or yellow card automatically or indirectly makes Var/ref decision to continue play right

White's is not raising his defense game at all.
We want a backline that strikers will find it hard to breach.

Check minute 72, white left a ball for opponent and resulted in first goal,
He did it again and Arteta subbed him for Tomi.

Let's see if Arteta would bench him against Bournemouth (which I doubt). If it was Cedric, I would have had big hope that he'll go to the bench but White 'level' in that arsenal team is making it worse for Tomi to break through.
We really need Tomi back, it's no coincidence that Odegaard and Saka haven't shown their best this past two games

Var check was whether it was a red card offence. Since it wasn't a red card offence, then corner kick play continues
