sholay2011: The bolded is likely true.
Took my test once and had 2125 points. I didn't click on the 'retake ur test option'.I answered my stage 4 test(first go),clicked on submit,it showed n error stuff n when I clicked on ok,it reloaded new set of questions. Same thing happened twice n after d third time it showed me successful. Only to check my dashboard d next day n my profile was asking me to rake d stage 4 test-like I didn't do so already. I took d test n now the result is out. So it's not like I ever clicked on d retake ur test button so definitely its an error on their part. Thanks |

Someone started with Yoruba before the Igbo own came up. We never heard anyone making useless tribal noise over it when the Igbo own came out. The Hausa own is out now and you already started you tribal noise.
Why are you people the noisiest sets? (Apologies to my reasonable brothers for this)And when the heat is turned up now they start crying foul for the whole world to hear.

BabaO2: H-Net Announcement The Union Igbo Bible:A Centenary Location: Nigeria Symposium Date: 2013-11-25 (Archive) Date Submitted: 2013-08-10 Announcement ID: 205796 DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES, GREGORY UNIVERSI TY UTURU NIGERIA in Conjunction with the RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE Cordially invite you to 3rd International Symposium tagged:
THE UNION IGBO BIBLE: A CENTENARY. Exactly hundred years ago, the Union Igbo Bible was produced in Egbu Owerri(1913).The translation from English Bible to Igbo lasted between 1906 to 1913.The Archdeacon Dennis led committee used the Igbo dialects of Onitsha, Owerri,Bonny, Arochukwu, and Uwana. Instead of embracing Union Igbo Bible as breakthrough in Igbo language development, an attempt towards Igbo language standardization and collective means of communication of NDI IGBO, it was out rightly rejected. The Union Igbo Bible was described as artificial lingua franca (Esperanto), a language of the prayer book and the Bible. To a large extent, inter denominational rivalry aroused when the Union Igbo Bible was produced. This great disservice to appreciate Archdeacon Dennis ingenuity is unscholarly, subjective and uncalled for. Unfortunately, leading scholars have described the Union Igbo as unreadable and unacceptable. It is against this background that the following sub themes are selected but not restricted to it: .The Role of Christian Missionaries in Igbo Language Development . Archdeacon Dennis, Union Igbo, Anglican Communion and Other Denominations . Esperanto Igbo language and the School Curriculum .The Rise of Igbo Orthography .Igbo Izugbe,(Standard Dialect)and the Igbo novelists .Literary Criticism and the Spoken Igbo .Igbo Nollywood,.Engli-Igbo Film and the Theatre .Igbo Language and the fear of Extinction Historical Perspective of Igbo Language Development Standardization Controversy: A Review Igbo Language and The Christian Worship Again u read online materials. Am telling u we've always had an Igbo bible.that as a kid going to village for festive activities, d Igbo bible has always been there n u re quoting something. HopeAtHand: The op of this thread has maliciously included Ikwerre amongst the various Igbo clans.
The constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria recognises the Igbo and Ikwerre as two separate tribes..Nigerians can always refer to the constitution whenever that need arises.
We are not surprised at the Igbos and their tendencies because other Nigerians can prove that are always a provocative tribe and have the nature of attaching themselves to other people either by hook or crook.
tonychristopher, Pazienza, emmysoftyou, babyosisi, freeglobe, Abagworo and other NL igbos should do well to inform the op. U may have a point but have u ever asked when the Nigerian constitution was made.before the constitution took effect,we already had ppl living in various part of the country. So even if u re ryt,it is wrong to refer sm1 to a constitution that isn't up to a quarter as old as the ppl to know their history |

BabaO2: No, they can't counter, only to display their inferiority complex, reason why they can't have complete holy bible in ibo language. It is good to lead and others follow. I am in my late twenties and we always had an Igbo Bible right from when I was a kid. Problem with Nigeria is that we rarely travel to other places or even bother to learn about them so we make so many false assumptions. You really don't realise how big and diverse this country is.firstly, this is not a counter but another educative piece ( maybe not complete) just like that of yoruba, for us to learn.looking forward to seeing same for other languages.Nigeria will be better, if we begin seeing things this way.thanks |

Fashola - Senior Advocate of Nigeria. Ambode - Chartered Accountant with explicable experience Amosun - FCA - Fellow Chartered Accountant Aregebesola - Engineer Ajimobi - Engineer with Experience with shell. Fayemi - PhD holder with specialiazation in security matter etc. Osinbanjo - Professor of Law
However in Ekiti they care for their stomachs and have decided to leave Jagaban out and elect a thug.
When other regions follow this footsteps. Then you will progress like the west. The north has started adopting this...but it's a problem implementing this in the east where a state like Abia has a huge talent like Alex Otti to take them to a new level after years of experience as the GMD of Diamond bank...but have decided to allow the most useless governor in Nigeria history rig elecTions for his candidate.
Jagaban Bougu...may you leave long Sir!!! I get where u re driving at but u are probably missing the point.its not about whether they are trained professionals but its about personality n integrity.are u saying we don't have corrupt doctors, engineers, lawyers and so on.d southeast u erroneously accuse have got mostly trained professionals as Governors as well, same as south south.ofcourse u wouldn't know this cos it isn't ur region n u never knew some of them b4 they became Governor. jomoh: Most of the people that voted for him are majorly illiterate that has no access to the internet to know the kind of crime he is supposed to face. Same cannot be said of people (even on NL here)that see the truth and still go ahead to make excuse for such by claiming a conspiracy against their people.
I understand your view of trying to plead to people to shun Tribalism. I will also like a Nigeria free from tribalism but we can't achieve that if we don't eliminate favouritism towards people of our own tribe(Nepotism).
By favouring your people above other tribe even when your people has not done well will eventually lead to tribalism because in the end the person will eventually alienate himself and his tribe from other tribes.
OBJ may be a scumbag but he is one of the most detribalised Nigerian leaders ever. Even if his own daughter is caught in a wrong act he won't protect her.
#SayNoToNepotism and #Tribalism will be greatly reduced. Nice post again. But to add to this, Nepotism isn't a tribal thing but it cuts across all spheres of life n all tribes.even in local govts(all Nigerian tribes) u see an instance where d chairman exhibits favouritism to ppl from his town/village. So its a general problem. Again u said most of the ppl who voted him in were illiterates(possibly true as I can tell). Why then don't u think d Igbo's who would be defending such things are not right thinking .(hope u get my point here) .its wrong to generalise using comments of 10-20 persons in a race with millions of ppl. We all should shun stereotyping n tribalism.#real naija prblm |

unclecycs: The issue of Unemployment to me is a very terrible form of cancer that eats a person slowly and progressively and if not cured on time with some form of intervention by way of a job etc, such an individual if not careful will most likely deteriorate more or less become a shadow of his/her real self. I say this using myself as a particular example because my life ,i am convinced, is a classic example of a man who has hit rock bottom due to unemployment and literally digging further down through the rock bottom as it seems like life isn't exactly done dishing out disappointments to me. this will not be the first time i will be posting an article as regards the subject of unemployment and it wont be my last even if i eventually secure some form of gainful employment because i consider myself a really tough person and this one singular problem has really shaken me to the point i have all but lost hope. Briefly, i am a petroleum engineer , Graduated from FUTO 2010/11 with a Beng 2'1, finished service 2012 and have remained jobless to this very minute, in retrospect i have to admit much of my problems was caused by me because maybe i was just too over confident, i was making decent grades and i was sure i wouldn't ever have a problem securing employment ,or maybe i was just unwise and at worst plain stupid. there had been a few opportunities ( say about 2) during service where i could have gained employment in a bank and maybe because i am just too fixated in an engineering job or maybe i am just not wise enough, i never really took any of these opportunities serious. in effect i still think the problems i am facing now where caused by me and me alone because somewhere deep down i know i have what it takes to succeed in any of these 'majors'
i think if i have been to approximately 20 different job aptitude test/scholarship exams ; Akwa ibom at least 5 times Porth Harcourt at least 11 times , Lagos at least four times and i reside in calabar so one can already imagine the financial implications a well as kilometers traveled and in all this i have only made it to the second stage twice after which i crash out.
I have to mention i did an offshore safety training *(cost me money i hardly had) , hoping to get a job in Lagos cuz i was promised one only to travel to Lagos to be interviewed and i was told i could not be taken .
the worst part is the psychological/physical deterioration that comes with constant worry , the depression, the loneliness, right now i only receive a phone call from just one person, a girl am with and that's it.. i had to deactivate my Facebook because i was quite tired of going in there and seeing picture updates of my friends doing pretty well and i look at my situation and feel like a complete utter looser. the saying that failure has no friends and success has many friends is indeed very true.. tested and trusted.
My parents (thank God i still have em both around) always try to encourage me ,telling me i should never loose hope that my time is coming but i cannot help feeling i have let them down cuz they had pretty high expectations as regards me.
So this is it, a man close to 30 with a degree , little or no relevant working experience and broke as they come. well dear friends its not over until you find yourself in a "strange land' with only angels walking about so till that time one must try never to give up
for those who have jobs and are in a potion to help , please help those you can , each one teach one and before we know it brick by brick we would have built a formidable wall against unemployment.
Again thanks to the op , i always love an opportunity to share my experiences , maybe somebody out there will learn from it. It is well my brother. O ga dinma .Also hunting for a better job n I just had to quote you for a reason.to remind u in not too distant time I told u so |

Nollywood movies of 2014 produced by Yoruba producers
1. October 1 is N330m in box office rating.
October 1 is a 2014 Nigerian psychological thriller written by Tunde Babalola, produced and directed by Kunle Afolayan. Aba boys are feeding fat on this movie right now producing massive pirated copies and selling them home and abroad.
2. ’30 Days In Atlanta’ made N85m in 8 weeks at the box office. 30 Days in Atlanta, is a feature film produced by comedian Ayo Makun, aka AY.
Those stvpid Nna bros are on a rat race to out sell and out produce the original as I type. And you think AY will be smiling at your kinsmen feasting on his hard work.
Not only Yoruba producers suffer most from this legalise stealing you're trying to defend but also Igbo producers as well. As I write this "Half a Yellow Moon" have turned into full black moon in the hand of those Aba urchins pirating it... Confirm mumu.where in my comment did I support piracy.seems u re very dull.I am against piracy.u should be stated 'depriving hardworking Nigerians' instead of firstly saying depriving hardworking yorubas before acknowledging they also deprive some hardworking Igbo producers.it would ve sounded balanced.but surely u didn't see that since u love tribal bigotry |
