What do you mean by Lukaku rebound goals, ?he scored 4 goals already this season only 1 was a rebound the first against westham was an excellent finish in a tight angle. Nawaoo.

Accident waiting to happen? None of them as a result of individual brilliance? Or a drive to push the team forward? Are you for realhuh? I am not particularly a Pogba fanatic but let's look at some of the goals he took part in this season.

-Man United 3-0 Swansea. He dispossessed a westham player and played it for mikhi, them ran towards the goal to receive a pass from mikhi to chip the goalkeeper brilliantly from a tight angle(no individual brilliance? Accidental?)

- Man United 4-0 West Ham. He collected a pass from the back and escaped tackles from West Ham players to release Mkhitaryan who laid it to martial.
- Man United 3-0 westham. Pogba received a pass outside the box from Martial, and finished with a brilliant curling effort.

- Swansea 0-1 Man United. His effort on goal was parried to the corner by fabianski, Blind took the corner, and POGBA rose highest to head towards the post, which hit the cross ba, Bailly reacted quickest to bundle over for the opener. (Accidental, and no technical ability to push the team forward)

- Swansea 0- 4 Man United. A run from Pogba from the midfield resulted in him releasing Martial, who finished brilliantly.

- Man United 1 - 0 Leicester city. Pogba's 1-2 with Rashford, resulted in Rashford forcing a corner. A corner kick from mikhi led to Rashford finishing, with Pogba even having a slight touch. ( I think I see no desire here)

- Man United 2-0 Leicester city. Pogba release Lingard whose cross ricocheted off Felliani for the goal.
- Stoke 1-1 Man United. A conerkick from Mkhitaryan was headed towards Goal, by Pogba but came off Rashford and into the net.

So what do you mean his goals and assist are accidental and lacks individual brilliance. So what type of goal did you want him to score? May a 40-50 yard screamers just to satisfy you? All those midfielders you mentioned, can I have their respective contributions to their teams so far? Please. Pogba may not be the best in his position , but his performance so far this season is very satisfactory.
Lobatan!! Na once dem dey know students wey dey carry first.

MoR2 i will advice you after this to make sure you know very well what you want to argue about before arguing about it. Go on YouTube and watch all united goals this season so far and look out for Pogba, when you are done, you will know that you really didn't know anything about what you were saying. You probably heard someone saying it somewhere and you latched on to it. Case Closed!

Forgive me guys for sounding a little bit racist. I deal racist cunts on a daily basis on pub forums and should know better. I just wanted to point out the fact we shouldn't pander to the agberoism some people bring here. Sure English fans are some of the most hardcore fans but they are not gonna go after your family or check where you work, what school you went or how you look just to put you in your place. I want us to act more maturedly. Come on! United fans shouldn't behave like fans of those clubs... especially those two London ones with one having a notorious reputation for breeding thugs on and off the pitch and the other known for producing fashion models and deluding their fans every year grin grin

See i didn't call no names.

Which record are you talking about? This Stoke team or the Stoke team of Tony Pulis from 5 years ago?

Last season THIS STOKE TEAM lost 4-1 to Liverpool, 4-1 to Man City, 4-0 to Spurs TWICE and 3-1 to Arsenal.
With our current squad of players there is no reason to change what we are doing.....at least not against this Stoke team.
eph12:
Let's see the record you're talking about please
Besides Arsenal who beat them 4-1 at home.. Liverpool and Chelsea could only come away with a 2-1 win and Everton a draw. I have not even gone further back. Away yes we know its quite difficult from home but Stoke is a rock at home after all the saying goes "can you do it on a cold Tuesday night at Stoke?". When i spoke of their record against big teams i was referring to them at home. Even their record against the small teams stands up there which tells how formidable they are at home.

Please how many of Blind crosses has found it's target in the EPL this season? Which has result in any goal? If I remember correctly, most of our goals have come from slick passes in front of goal and not from some side crossing. I personally hate all those crossing unless we have people running in at the near post and not hiding behind defenders. Sometimes I will see a cross when we have just a player in the opponent box surrounded by like 5 players. Which kind thing be that?
If you were the manager who is aware of Stoke's record against ball playing teams would you go there and be doing tiki taka?

i decided to ignore you the other day because i knew days like this would surely come sooner than later.
I said clearly that Man utd ignored to strengthen the left side of their defense and right wing which is an obvious weakness. But you felt otherwise, shouting that you have defensive record and blah blah blah. Even Mark Hughes knows that is our weakness and he made good use of it. On the right wing, stokes players were constantly affording Valencia enough space with the ball because they know he isn't deadly dangerous, space dey didn't afford Rash or Mart on the left. Oga, we bleeped up the window by not getting a LB and a RW. Stop focusing on other team when we have obvious problems.
What are you even saying. Both goals came from Baily not tracking chupo monting and Jones falling like a kitten instead of marking the same player again. Everyone knows teams like stoke feed on set pieces. Then it's only normal that every player is at alert when stoke have a set piece but no.. thats when Jones choose to bundle over. What i said was in reference to the fact that what we need are wingers with good crosses on them. We don't get those from Mikhi or Rashford instead they offer a different dimension to our game which is pace, dribbling and trickery. I expected more crosses fron our full backs yesterday, none came. The fault of yesterday's match was Mourinho's wrong selection not transfers gaffe. Blind has always had a good cross in him and with the tall players in our squad we don't utilize that advantage enough. Instead he plays the slow, insipid Darmian who can't defend or attack to save his life and we saw from the first goal. They say if it's not broken, don't change it. We suffered for it yesterday. You pulling out my old posts when we were playing Valencia, Bailly, Jones and Blind and were sturdy doesn't make sense in this case. Blame the manager for his selctions and possibly instructions because this guys don't cross the ball. Valencia had acres of space to whip in a one time cross many times yesterday instead he decides to pass back or run down his usual path which everybody knows. Blind who can give good crosses too... no where. Mourinho set his team to play the style of football stoke love playing against. That is why they have a great record against the big teams who play on the ground and a bad record against the small teams who go route one. This was the obvious thing to do against them. Go route one and crossing like they do.

Like Mourinho pointed out, he "hopes" for United to stand strong when such situations arises, but he also pointed out that he's not sure for other clubs, other small clubs without the financial power like United to say no or make the player being pursued not have his head turned. This rule was made mostly to protect the average clubs with lesser financial backing, but as with every other law or rule, the big clubs will still have their way at the end.

I remember when Abrahimovic came unto the scene and spent lavishly to break the dominance United and Arsenal had on EPL. Then City, PSG and Co started theirs and Wenger cried out, FFP was introduced to curb the menace. What happened? After the IGG, top clubs still found a way to play dirty causing Wenger to confess yesterday that FFP is powerless to stop rich clubs. It's same thing that'll happen in this scenario. The top clubs will still have their ways, but this time around it'll affect only EPL if others don't join. Life's not fair, the big clubs will keep enjoying more benefits no matter what.

You know the major reason Coutinho didn't leave for Barcelona this TW was coz he had no buy-out clause and so couldnt pull the Neymar stunt who had one and once it's paid, bought his way to freedom.

So what happens to all these average clubs where their players have buy-out clauses? Imagine TW had already close and Hull City's star player with a buy-out clause of 40mil who the club had managed to keep away from the EPL wolves suddenly receives interest from Barcelona [after chasing another target and couldn't get him so turned towards Hull City's star player] who are willing to pay his buy-out clause and the player hands in a transfer request. What will Hull City now do? The player wants to leave and his buy-out clause will be paid. When Hull City sells coz they have no choice, how will they replace him when the TW is already closed for EPL? They might even lose more players before the TW of other leagues closes since they can sell but not buy.

So you see that while United might not suffer, small clubs can. You also see for players like Mbappe who was chased for over 3 months by Madrid, City, PSG etc., when EPL TW closes, PSG and Madrid now have the upperhand to buy him. This is an unfair advantage for other leagues.

My stance is, if other leagues don't join EPL in this rule, then EPL should stop the rule or they will lose out.

Also, it's stupid for EPL teams to be able to sell but can't buy because once TW closes and they lose a player, they can't replace him. The England FA needs to come up with a law stopping teams from selling too once the TW closes.
The Epl has shot itself on the foot. Knowing Uefa, Uefalona and Uefadrid, they will all be licking their mouths in glee. I know this TW would still be revisited by English teams when they would have seen that Spanish TW remains the way it is and their two teams can now easily cherry pick any top talent which puts that club under pressure to sell so as to get a replacement on time. It is a disaster that would be unleashed in the most cruel fashion considering next year when it'll start is a world cup year with the final on July 15th leaving English clubs less than a month to complete deals for players returning back while the rest of Europe are just relaxing waiting to pounce.

The only way this can be amended is for UEFA to change the rules for TW operations. When the window shuts in a given country, ins and outs end instantly. That way the other countries will be forced tp adjust. But trusting Uefa to do anything that hurts spanish team is like trusting Nigerian police to act judiciously.
