Nice! That means Ladan was right when he said some of these boys will be in SE within a years time TheSuperNerd: Nigeria U20 Flying Eagles continue their fearless/menacing displays: Humbles Brazillian Conquerors 2-0 - Part 1
MOTM for me is Benjamin Frederick
#21 Chijioke Aniagboso looks quite unbeatable between the sticks. Confident in the air and a good shot stopper. Also looks kinda comfortable with the ball at his feet. Bagged an assist for the second goal via classical route 1 football
#3 Solomon Agbalaka was solid defensively for the most parts but was a bit shaky in the first half which saw him forget the tenets of Penalty box defending. He was lucky not to concede a penalty after VAR review shows an Italian foul preceding his handball in the box. His crosses caused a few problems in the final third.
#6 Daniel Bameyi surprised today. Damn, he may not be close to half of the best technically and is still bang average on the ball but I have to admit that the lad is quite a tank defensively. A rock to be reckoned with in defensive actions. Lad put in a hardworking defensive job at RB and even had a crack at goal on one of his few forages upfront.
#5 Abel Ogwuche continues his flawless displays at the heart of the Flying Eagles backline. Smooth in possession and solid in aerials (100% aerial duel success) and ground duels. His Sweeper qualities saw him rack up the most clearances in the game (9) for Nigeria at the back. Solid performer. Has covered himself in Gold so far as one for the future of the Super Eagles backline.
#12 Benjamin Frederick. What a monster of a young man. The smoothest in possession at the back. Recorded the most passes of all our defenders (38) and also won the highest duels (9) among our back 4. His 1 v 1 defending is arguably the best in this team. I bet only Daniel Daga rivals him on 1 v 1 marking/defending. He recorded 6 tackles vs Italy's Pafundi, Baldanzi and Cesadei. Benjamin Frederick is a future Super Eagles Defensive lieutenant. Trust me. This kid is going to the top. A top defensive talent we have in Frederick whose only sore point at this tournament so far was the penalty he gave away vs Dominican Republic. Aside that, Dude has been flawless and class.
#Daniel Daga is truly an insane midfield anchor. Did a fine job on Cesadei and Fratti. Mad and aggressive off the ball and quick in closing down opponents. Brilliant in blocking passing lanes and strong in duels. And just when you think he is all about combativeness, his technical qualities shine through. Press resistant and calm on the ball. Has got the passing range to spread and switch plays to get us progressing forward. Daga is a gem. Only those who focus on both the beautiful and dirty works of Midfield plays will understand what a gem we have in this lad.
I'm not getting ahead of myself but I see why close observers of the team live in Abuja before the U20 Afcon called him Little Kante.
#10 Victor Ehuwa Eletu. The Highly Cerebral Baller of our middle game dynamics. I said on twitter that if we would stand a chance against Italy's midfield, then Eletu must start not just for his familiarity with most of the Italian youngsters but because his ball playing magic would definitely help us in the midfield battle and did it? It sure did. Eletu EASILY recorded the highest passing accuary (95.5%) among all our players who started and also created 2 chances in his 67mins before being subbed off.
His ball sense, decision makings, press resistance, progressive carries and strength in duels makes him quite the near complete midfield package. Dude is definitely destined to become a Super Eagles Midfield General. A star in the making.
#18 Samson Lawal played the first 45 mins and was largely anonymous despite having 2 key passes. He was a huge let down and had to be rightly subbed off for Tochukwu Nnadi.
#8 Tochukwu Nnadi played the second 45 mins and seriously impacted proceedings with his involvement in link up plays and our midfield passing sequences which kept our plays ticking. He provided 2 key passes as well but more than that recorded more than twice the passes Lawal had in the first 45. His energy, his intensity and ball plays saw the midfield 3 of Eletu, Daga and himself take full control of the middle game which began seeing us progress even further into the Italian half both on the counter and in regular offensive transitions.
Part 2 will be about the attack only. Stay tuned.

Why do we have the quota system, is it not to put inequality in check brought about by bias from tribalism. Human being na the same. When you have food everywhere and a lovely climate all you do is dance and feed the blood thirsty gods with your brother and sister. When u lack and have a wicked climate, it will push you to explore and seek ways to plunder. Na human adaptations. Why are my Igbo brothers everywhere that there is land and water? Adaptation. Its natural. There is only one thing you can do. And it is, do some about it. My black brothers like to talk and blame. If we come together we can outsmart this people. Start from your neighborhood, and come together. First let’s get this rogues from government who are aiding and abetting with foreigners to distroy our country. Will we? No, we will put tribe first JohnBullMySon: Racism is a joke compared the tribalism and bigotry present on just Nairaland alone |

Funny thing is you are only looking at one side. daveP: the funny thing is this version is cos they don mellow. The one of slavery era was they coming to disrupt our ancestors lifestyle with their greed. Even if we have working country or continent, they'll still scramble for us cos our wealth is massive and addictive. Many of them are currently broke like France is.
As for those blacks returning, they themselves are a huge huge problem that may make indigenous africans to prefer the whites after settling down back here. They get wahala. They will need some tough factory reset to commune and stay with indigenes. They may even be more toxic with the tribalism sef. Hmmm. |

If we have our countries working, will we care much about their racism? Many blacks the world over will move to Africa and rather deal with Africa’s version — Tribalism daveP: To me, All the Say No Yo Racism campaigns are just nothing. Cashcows for some folks like Nigeria NGOs. Players ate not benefitting. Just waste of show and energy.
And hey, they're all the same. Don't expect it to change when that in itself is one of the pillars of nationalism, esp the current wave of nationalism and politics. Shey na sports e go kon stop? A pity sha. |

Na who go put the cross? Anyway Orban a good free kick taker should be good taking crosses as well. Boniface is silky and he can man that Left real good. CF: 1. Osimhen, 2. Awoniyi 3. Sadiq LF: Boniface RF: Orban RW: Chukwueze LW: Lookman codemaniacs: Orban is not tall enough to play CF..
Victor Boniface, Osimhen, Awoniyi, Terem Moffi, Umar Sadiq or Paul Onuachu should be the CF
Gift Orban should play LF
Victor Boniface or Umar Sadiq should play CF due to Osimhen offside wahala.
Terem Moffi should play RF
Osimhen or Awoniyi should play SS behind CF so that when crosses come in both Boniface and Osimhen will be in the box to head the ball. |

You once said a similar thing about Osimhen. komekn: I said this about 7/8 games ago that Everton will not be relegated.
Looking at the bottom 6 Everton have the best players and the greater quality squad depth.
Nwakali will not get into the youth team even if they allowed him at 24 to play in the U18's. |

Influence, that’s the keyword. Kog45: The different Iwobi 2 goals and 7 assists in top league EPL and Nwakili 1 goal and two assists in very lowly rated league SEGUNDA.The two are wide apart comparing the leagues.Yes nothing to talk on their influence cuz both failed to save their clubs from relegation. |

1. Even if Everton wins their last game, they can’t surpass Forest 2. Only Leeds can suppress Forest, if they won their last two games. 3. Leicester and Southampton can’t, even if they won their last two games. This is assuming Forest lose their last game. Their worse possible position is 17th in the league — SAFE opes: Not sure they survived yet

Yes not that rated by some but some of us who know you from roots never for once doubted your ability to rise to the occasion.
I remembered your word to me in UAE during U17 WC you said uncle I made this team y the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and a starter due to injury of reliable Isaac Success but I will not let Nigeria down.
I hope Nottingham Forest survive the relegation and congratulations to Man city. |

If that’s what they did to hold almost all the possible AFCON titles, then it’s special. But when had our golden generation etc. we still had all this problems shebi? Philosopher1979: Abeg, nothing special. Just remove corruption and bias from nff and we are okay. Stealing money is the problem of nff thats all. And selectng players is based on who knows who and who can bring money From u17 to super eagles. NFF is poor because it has stolen the money it got from its sponsors and the new sponsors are afraid and do not trust nff Dangote and Dozzy Mmbousi and many milloniaires in Nigeria can fund nff but the theives there make everything impossible. They are so myopic, selfish and wicked Thats all the structures are there youth football, fantastic football academies, players been discovered its just that some corrupt and short sighted personalties cannot see beyong their narrow selfish ambition
Note: Senegal and Morocco is not a big deal to me THEY ARE NOT HISTORICAL GIANTS OF AFRICAN FOOTBALL HOW MANY TIMES HAS BOTH OF THEM REACHED AN AFCON SEMI FINAL
If we get a good coach the next world cup semi-final is sure |
