in Benji and Bassey, we are covered in CB for many years to come. we need just a couple solid back ups. |

by presence i mean dominance. The team generally has done well with link up plays BascoVanVeli: Akor has linked up great with other attackers. |

this is not a personal thing against Akor. It's what will give us a better stability in midfield. Akor is lurking to pounce, besides that no much presence. Odunayaw: Akor has justified his start despite me preferring another midfielder. |

The problem is Lookman looks like he may pull something off in this game, but at the same time we need Moses. How do we solve this problem? I've not seen crosses from Chukwueze soetanoreoluwa: Both teams are very cautious, Ndidi might be removed cos of the yellow card. Simeon to come in second half to do the magic. |

Some observations from the first half
1. Akor shouldn't have started. We would have been better off with an extra leg in midfield, say Onyedika, giving Iwobi more license to be involved forward 2. While we have improved a lot in our passing game, we were getting a little more showy 3. Osimhen would have at least had 2 goals now, but for poor balance and good goalkeeping from Gabon 4. Our defense is solid but will still need to be careful with counters. |

ya'll see why you need players who can really battle in the midfield. we are losing duels there |

As long As Lookman will be delivering crosses I have no issues with this. But I think Moses will be more purposeful if he is introduced in the second half. Our midfield remains lean. I hope the coach is able to switch things up if things start to turn south. 9JAMac10: Our starting eleven. Happy ekong is on the bench. Go Nigeria. Win this game for the common masses of Nigeria. bless up |

you have Ejuke, Simon, Chukwueze and arguably Lookman as a wingers, and you still need Olusegun over two matches. okay at least drop ejuke if you believe so much in Olusegun, and have Uche in the squad. 123jamessmith: Uche is a very good player the coach would have included him. But when it comes to midfield play alhasan is a beast forget where he play. If you watch his games alhasan is everywhere in the pitch, if he's not tackling, is pressing to win possession. How many players have that kind of work rate . You guys don't see what the coach is seeing. In the case of olusegun, he's a very strong player. How many quality wingers are even doing well in Europe |

we go qualify first before we go know whether we fit advance reach QF na. guy u enjoy mediocrity oh. make we just dey continue to win AFCON instead of qualifying for future WCs because you don't believe we can do better at the WC Napoleon55: WC qualification and failure to advance to second round or Q/final,personally I prefer winning AFCON trophy to that. Osimhen and co over 25 years can still play next world cup. |

I appreciate your take. TheSuperNerd: Uche fits it yes, but in a differemt way. He is a Power playing, Technically adept, ball carrying hunk of a player. When I see Uche play, I see another Yaya (Mancity's version). Funnily like Uche, Yaya could also play all midfield roles from DM, CM to CAM. The all round Box to Box Monster. Showed it across the clubs he featured for before City. At City, we saw Yaya used in the best way, Box to Box with freedom to get forward and link up with the final third.
So like Yaya, Uche will be most effective when given the freedom to operate as our own complete, barnstorming box-to-box midfielder. He operates either centrally as the CAM (in some cases) or He plays (more often) as part of a double pivot in a midfield trio but with licence/freedom to get forward and make those strong powerful ball carrying runs as we saw him do time and again at Getafe in La Liga.
In Akinsanmiro, we have something slightly different in a creative sense. A Mezzala Creative profile. A midfielder with the ability to drift into the half spaces and try make things happen. While he is also expected to be comfortable centrally, he also moves into the channels between the opposition's central defenders and fullbacks (i.e. the halfspaces). Examples of such profiles are Barella and Pogba. Akinsanmiro is in this light per his talent profile. |

Lookman - Osimhen is the perfect partnership if they play to complement each other.
They should both assist each other where necessary. if any of them is selfish it would reduce the other, because they are both top strikers in their own right. |
