wetin u dey yan? nobody said Tammy was faster.

utilize it how? explain

CASTAGNE:
osimhen is faster than Tammy and if Tammy was as fast as u make him out to be then he will utilize it
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 6:47pm On Dec 25, 2019
a pacy player may not show it every time depending on how the team is set up to attack. But you can make such conclusion if you have seen the player use his pace in one occasion or two. Do you need a clip to prove that?

CASTAGNE:
can u tell me the reason why any player who has considerable pace will not utilize it effectively
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 5:42pm On Dec 25, 2019
I agree with you very much at the bolded
komekn:
Lille play entirely to the strengths of Osimhen.

Osimhen is not technically astute as Tega.

If football was based on gra gra and aggression then there would be no need for technique.

Neymar, Mbappe, Messi, Ronaldo, are aggressive with technique. The dont just use pace bit football intelligence and incredible first touch football with pin point accuracy.

Tega is fast he just doesn't base his entire game on pace he has so much more. That's why you don't see him use so often. In addition the ball is not always played ahead for him to run on too.

Look how Tega links up the entire forward line as well as the midfield with one touch football bringing and knitting the team together to work with so much cohesion. That requires a lot more football intelligence and technical ability.

The idea of one player as a focal point works for a lot of teams but it's not the approach of most top teams today.

Tega has too much in his drawer technically to be caged easily. He makes defenders look foolish if they dive in.

Tammy is less gra gra more brain. Again, it depends on how the team is set up. I don't think Tammy will thrive in an Osimhen kind of team and vice versa.
If i were to play both in the same team, I will use Tammy more as the support striker.

charlesemeka85:
tammy seem more classy but osimhen is a dynamite. the guy's strength, pace and agility bellies his young age. also he seem more hungry

the only thing that i see stopping osimhem from becoming one of the best from the african continent atleast is injury, aside that he is built and molded to become a legend in the game which is propelled by his hunger and never say die spirit.

tammy is good and classy on the ball but can easily be caged by dreaded defenders
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 6:32pm On Dec 24, 2019
I'm afraid, If I were to judge by the clips you shared alone, I would go for Osimhen.
Tammy's video did not do justice to his goal poaching instinct. Osimhen relies more on pace, and less trickery but clever ball control still. If I were a scout, after watching these clips, I would go for Osimhen. Osimhen is more a mobile forward. Really, they are different kind of players. I don't think Tammy will thrive in a team that likes to exploit the use of pace either.

komekn:
They are both strikers but VERY DIFFERENT in thier style and character as well as individual attributes. Thier capacity to adapt and be versatile to different types and patterns of football will also very different.

I don't use YouTube videos as a benchmark for players quality. However, it can give you a very good insight into a players character, style and inherent technical attributes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOj-MH_OJLY

So now what do you think❓

Osimhen thrives with the ball to run on too and behind the defenders. That's where he can use his pace. The team strategy at Lille is entirely geared up towards him.

In a bigger team that will not be the case.

You can make your own deductions on Tega. You have eyes.

It's for this reason Victor has to be very very careful what team he chooses to go toafterwards Lille. A team that suits his attributes and that will play to enhance them.

she may even choose to remain single. but the point is if she marries I pray he should be the one who appreciates her intelligence.

There are many ladies out there with husbands that are abusive etc. (I don't want to use more names)
OMANBALA1:
No need to explain yourself over again on a subject you have deep conviction on. Who said Safari doesn't want a good husband who will challenge her intelligence.

singleness could also be used as a tool to measure success. There is no one definition for success.
OMANBALA1:
Marriage could be used as a tool to measure success because marriage is serious work. If you are going to be a feminist be an informed one.

As regards the marriage thing. I said I pray she marries a husband who sees the value in her. That’s far from what you are trying to make it seem I implied. Chill bro

safarigirl:
Sorry to pull anyone back on this Isaac issue, but it's rather unfair to keep dragging a player for mistakes he may have made two whole years ago, in relation to what his career is today.

E no get who no dey make mistake and e no get who sudden money no dey confuse. He hasn't done anything to require slating of recent, e no dey play fit no be him fault. It is not likely that a team struggling to remain in the EPL, will regularly play anyone who wasn't a regular when they were doing good, even small playing time go be blessing sef.

Make we no dey laugh am on top ashawo wey e carry two years ago. Many of us did things two years ago that we might not be proud of, but it shouldn't define who we are today and we should extend the same belief to Success.

PS: Success is not a waste man, nobody is a waste man. Things might not be going well for him today, does not make him a waste man.

Una good evening.

It’s not about what I think. You can only make deductions from the quote. So what did he say that implies he prefers Nigeria to Belgium or he feels more connected to Nigeriahuh By illusion what did he mean in this context?

Mujtahida:
What if he had illusions as many others do regarding their chances with England, Germany, etc and keep dilly dallying.

Don't you think patriotism clarified his vision and made him more realistic?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 12:39pm On Dec 15, 2019
Na so he talk, but doesn’t mean it’s true

BascoVanVeli:
It was a tactical decision. Rodgers wanted to revert to the 4-3-3 with a winger instead of a second striker
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 2:11am On Dec 15, 2019
very well said!
charlesemeka85:
Yea Akpoguma said the same with regards of keeping his options open.

To this regard I think the English born players are the ones who live in illusion the most if not I see no reason a young player like tomori with the depth England boast of in the central defence position will still insist on sticking to the team knowing fully well that his chances to make the team to any tournament re tiny not even slim.

Tammy's case is different because aside Kane and Rashford(who is mainly deployed to the flanks) he is the next performing English striker in the epl.

I must confess I was shock when tomori decided to play for the 3lions instead of the super eagles where he will immediately be slotted in as one of the 2 starting CBs
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 1:16am On Dec 15, 2019
lol it's funny using the word "illusion". But you know some players can dream BIGGER, and there is nothing wrong with that either only say dem fit miss road in the process. But even at this point, Cyriel knows that he would have a better career with Nigeria. And take note that he said he sees a half Nigerian in the mirror. He didn't say he feels more Nigerian.. He is just honest about his feelings. Reminds me of Akpoguma who just said things as it is. that if he doesn't get a chance with Germany, he would play for Nigeria. No Maradona things.

charlesemeka85:
The kid right from time embraced the truth and is working hard to fullfil his dream of playing for 9ja which he admit that it won't be an easy feat making the 9ja team but still begging for a chance.

Even if he scores tons of goals in the colors of Heracles he may end up just making the Belgian team to friendly games with few caps and minutes to boast of.

With 9ja he has the chance of making the afcon and world cup team if he continues with his good form. Also moving to any of sporting Lisbon, Cagliari and club brugge will enhance his chances the more in the super eagles

He is scoring and assisting for fun but many in Nigeria football circle won't take him serious because of the stature of the club he is currently playing for.

I believe by next summer he will earn a big move to any of the big teams in the eirdivisie or bigger leagues in europe
