The bad is that SA is playing to avoid a loss. So if they decide they want to play for a draw they will be okay. We are the ones under big pressure kennysville: I doubt they will attack. They probably will be content keeping the possession. The pressure is still very much on the Super Eagles. We are still trailing by 6 points |

Arokodare for Onyeka na desperation to me. what is onyedika doing in the bench? thats another outlet of support that our forwards can get. Also who are we bringing to the right wing? |

I wanted to say this. we are predictably launching our attack from the left wing. Bruno no adding any dimension to the game. the right wing is not utilized. Onyeka to me na just runs and gra gra. Ndidi has been impressive to me. Samueltemi337: Chelle nor be coach See as right wing empty What is Lookman and Simon both doing in the left wing |

Consolation master.. I hope our NFF are also grooming good administrators to take over. TheSuperNerd: If we miss USCAMEX World Cup 2026, well it would be the first time our Super Eagles will be missing back to back World Cup tournaments. A real low.
But I take consolation in the fact that the young guns rising fast in the team and outside the team will be more mature and ready for the 2030 WC Qualifiers assault.
Osimhen (age 29-30 by 2028) would be undisputed leader of the team by then and possibly Captain. Lookman will still be there. Same as Felix Agu and Chukwueze.
Calvin Bassey will be undisputed leader of the Defence with Ekong gone.
The young guns (U-24) are:
💯 Raphael Onyedika (MF) - Belgium 💯 Fisayo Dele Bashiru (MF) - Serie A 💯 Tolu Arokodare (CF) - EPL 💯 Victor Boniface (ST) - Bundesliga 💯 Christantus Uche (MF) - EPL 💯 Benjamin Frederick (CB) - Belgium 💯 Vince Osuji (CB) - Belgium - Belgium 💯 Akinsanmiro Ebenezer (MF) - Serie A 💯 Hafiz Umar Ibrahim (ST/CF) - Ligue 2 💯 Arierhi Kparobo (ST) - Norway 💯 Rafiu Durosinmi (ST/CF) - Czech Liga 💯 Hamzat Ojediran (MF) - Ligue 1 💯 Daniel Daga (MF) - Norway 💯 Emmanuel Uchenna (CB) - Czech Liga 💯 Igoh Ogbu (CB) - Czech Liga 💯 Anthony Dennis (MF) - Turkey Super Lig 💯 Victor Orakpo (ST) - Ligue 2 (loan from Ligue 1 side, Nice) 💯Gift Orban (ST) - Serie A 💯David Moses (MF) - Czech Liga (Slavia Prague like Ogbu) 💯 ETC, ETC...
I am looking forward already but with one toe still stuck in this WCQs campaign just to see how it all finally ends. Peseiro and the lads did us bad in the beginning. But I am focused on better days to come. |

For me the Federick move is a wake u call to any established player to put in that 100% on the field at any time. The timing though. |

That's all we can really do. Win the rest. I don't even care the scoreline, although it's also important. But let's just win. Because if we look for more goals e fit backfire. And if SA don't slip, then so be it. They deserve it. junnyjake: We're 6 points behind SA, that's assuming we win Rwanda today. The maximum points we can get from SA are 3 assuming again that we win against them next week
And if CAF refuses to deduct point from them, we have to hope they lose a game or 2 for us to have any hope even after possibly winning all our games. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 12:23am On Sep 06, 2025 |
if we win all our matches that's a slip up by our opponents na. FIFA go commot those 3 points from SA last last but it would be irrelevant. junnyjake: The super eagles will not qualify for the 2026 WC. There's no magic that can guarantee otherwise.
There's no guarantee that we'll win all our matches and even if we do, there's no guarantee of a slip-up by our opponents. |
