Deadlytruth:
[s]You obviously have no superior arguments to the poser I gave up there. Why do you want us to blame Awolowo for tribalistic politics and not Ironsi for the subversion of the 1963 constitution? Since when did what is good for the goose become bad for the gande[/s]r?
This trash you typed has no bearing on your claim that Nigeria was working until Ironsi took over.

Nigeria wouldn't have taken the turn that led it to this failed state. Nigeria worked from Independence till the day Ironsi misadventured into politics.

Politics › Re: Unanswered Questions On Ironsi And The Regional System. by joeyfire(m): 11:25am On Dec 27, 2021
Ironsi intended to end intense regionalism so he appointed Governors over the former regions now subdivided into provinces but retained 50% resource control. Gowon created states and removed resource control.

Even a day old child could figure out which of them abolished regionalism but bad belle has blinded some of us

Do you even know Zik? His father and the ties he had with the Brits? Zik was used to tie Nigeria together until northerners get to understand what they stand to gain in the association. From inception, northerners feared domination from South, so they wanted out with their arewa.

Till date, I believe there is an element of truth that Zik had hands in the first coup. He was trying to undo his mistakes. The northerners were ignoring him cos they know he holds a useless position and they were stretching hands to reach out to Akintola who took it against Awolowo who believed in United south against north.
Zoo's father was a railway clerk in Zungeru. He was a nobody. Please stop reading all these crazy conspiracy theories that people spread online such as this thread
