1999 constitution is an offshoot of 1979 constitution...In the 1979 constitution when Lagos was FCT, Lagos voters were not given any privilege.The votes were the same as votes casted in other states.

Below are reasons why Abuja is like every other States of the federation.

1. Abuja has one senatorial slot - we
have 3 senators per state times 36 States that is 108 plus the only one from Abuja makes it 109. It's the 36 States and the FCT.

2. Abuja like every other States has a commissioner of police and NYSC Corp Members are being mobilised to Abuja like every other States.

3. Abuja also have local government areas like every other States.

Me thinks, for anyone to be seen as a valid president he truly needs to be accepted by at least 25% of the residents of this mini-Nigeria who cut across every tribe, creed, and whatever.

Yes Awolowo fought against it. But they still made it capital of the new country. When northerners started feeling the heat of riots during the military era, they went back to awolowos FCT plan.

Azikiwe manipulated the NPN (northern party) against Awolowo and labelled him a tribalist, just to be president of the United Nigeria. Igbos hailed him. See how his presidency ended. Backstabbed his northern partners because he didn't have enough control. Igbos later got azikiwes unitary dream through ironsis declaration. He then later backstabbed his Biafra people after they lost.

Azikiwe was the first villain in the Nigerian story. And Awolowo was the target of their first propaganda.

No wonder why PDP and LP are working hand in hand .I can give you a fact that I'm one of the state even the PDP agent are sending in the real polling result.This is classified and I understand,that this is the trend across the country.
I think the LP lawyers are extremely smart,and used some other cases like the 25% in Abuja,VP elect not qualified to contest and the drug case to shift focus.while the are working madly on proving that LP scored the highest lawful vote .
Mind you In many places in the North like Bauchi ,Gombe ,Borno etc, alot of Obi's vote was suppressed .In some other places it was shared.In Rivers ,they even made an error by uploading the right result on the IREV which favours Obi

Unfortunately, LP can't contest results in about 40k plus units because they didn't have agents there.These 40k units were the places where these results were rigged.

Is it logical to accept voters record as evidence?It means all the parties in that election will have different results presented as evidence. Why didn't Labour party send names of their agents to INEC as requested ?

What INEC is saying.is that since LP did not have agents in those units, they can't contest the results.The agents would have been the eyes of LP to prevent rigging.

Will a presidential candidate not ask his supporters to transfer their voters card to Abuja knowing fully well what is at stake or will the Federal government ask them not to transfer their voters card ?So many loophole will be exploited by these politicians.

What the Court is saying is that fct can also be counted as part of the 24 states for the purpose of fulfilling this criteria. It doesn't mean u must get 25% in fct. There's nothing special about fct in the constitution.

The Supreme Court was trying to prevent a situation where someone wins 23 states and then fct, only to be disqualified that fct is not a state. Fct is counted as a state in this case.

Bottom line: Tinubu won fair and square.

God bless you for this...If FCT is compulsory, I bet you subsequent elections in FCT will be marred with violence...A presidential candidate will just sit in Abuja campaigning without going to other states to campaign hoping to frustrate other contestants from getting 25%..Someone like Kwankwanso can do that which I think it's illogical.

You just shot yourself in the foot. You shouldn't have mentioned the constitution. The constitution expressly mandated the respect for federal character in the spread of public offices and appointments and ensure equitable distribution of positions to respect the multi ethnic and multi religious diversity of Nigeria. Before you jump and say it only applies to appointment of Ministers, please go and study section 318 of the constitution. The provision is a blanket mandate, which is why political parties incorporated zoning, even private companies try to balance out employments.
Lastly, your mum being from Delta and your wife being from Edo has nothing to do with your hatred for the ibos.

As for the other stuff you wrote down there, it won't be a bad idea to start enforcing them, rather than waiting for them to do so themselves. For instance, since you control the federal purse, simply stop giving them their share of the allocation, also since you are in power, simply terminate the employment of all their people in federal parastatals and military. And since you also control the police and military and government, simply enforce deportation of all of them from all other geopolitical zone back to the east. Its far easier that way, or what do you think?

Tell your kith and kin to boycott living in other states (una sabi boycott), tell your people working in federal parastatals including the military to resign tell your governors to stop receiving allocation from Abuja, tell your senators and house of reps members to relocate to the east first.Thats when the other geo political zones will take you serious that you are ready to leave the country.
