kingthreat: It's this foolish attitude that led to the pogroms. Lagos is of the Aworis who are of the Yoruba race. Only a cursed dog will open his mouth and say "Lagos is no man's land" or not of the Yorubas. Most people don't know the difference between Lagos and Lagos state... Lagos state comprises of Egbas, ijebus,Ilajes and Awori subgroups of Yoruba. |

Neckpresser101: politicians can say whatever they want at any given time to fit their interest
Awo once said Nigeria was a mere geographical expression when things wasn't going his way but same him was against seccetionist
Same FFK that was insulting the hell out tinubu some fews year back is now singing praises
Again You didn't mention Yul take on the issue Or just Go out there in the street ask people what they think! That to me, is the most credible source anyone can take seriously not politicians
Land grabbing ? WTF guy do you know the meaning of land grabbing? All properties they own they bought from some Lagos owambe loving parents You cannot eat your cake and have it! Land grabbing is what herdsmen and bokoharam are doing by using force to posses land. Awolowo wasn't against secession ...He was against invasion of the south west my the biafrans. They've successfully invaded the mid west I.e. Edo and Delta state on their way to the west...Thats desperacy. What we are saying is they should stop attacking our political leaders because we don't attack theirs. Alaba market till tomorrow is a freeland given to the ibos by Jakande likewise Ladipo. Whatever they say against Yorubas in Lagos will only make Yorubas to show aggressiveness towards them. In as much as we want Lagos to be cosmopolitan, there must be limits to this.Excesses by a particular tribe is what we of Lagos origin won't tolerate..No matter what, You can't separate Lagos from Yorubaland and that's why we won't allow a particular tribe to dictate who rules us in our land. |

Neckpresser101: Anyone else?
How does OUK represent the general opinion of very igbos?
Seun kuti is from Lagos State he himself said Lagos is no man's land
If you actually take his opinion serious
What do you have to say about what Yul Edochie said about Lagos belonging to yorubas?
I personally believe that Lagos belongs Yorubas
I mean it will be hilarious for someone to tell me Omoku where I'm from belongs to Hausas because there are alot of hausas there
I'll laugh it out Did you read the full test of Seun Kuti?Seun Kuti hilariously Said Lagos belongs to the Portuguese(how is that possible) You asked for one person, I gave you, now you are shifting the goal post.Even Zik once called Lagos a no mans land. Omoku seems to be an offshoot of Benin kingdom..You reason differently from Igbos...Hausas don't attempt to grab peoples land the way igbos do. |

owobokiri: You're free to call Enugu, Kaduna or Calabar No Mans Lands too. The constitution of Nigeria makes these areas some No Mans Lands . Its what it's.. The constitution recognizes only people's ownership of property and notna tribal ownership of states! Get used to this, plss... No part of the constitution dedicates Lagos or Owerri to certain people. All Nigerians are part owners of Nigeria! So says the constitution written by your uncles... Maybe you should ask your uncles if this is not what they fought for when they fought for "One Nigeria".. When you are filling a form and they ask for your state of origin, write Lagos then... |

owobokiri: Lagos is a No Mans Land! Eko was/is a property of the Great Edo kingdom, so if we are even going to trace culturally trace the historic origins of Lagos, it will easily be proven that those on a land grabbing mission here are the Yorubas!
The capital of the former Western Nigeria is ibadam not Lagos! Lagos is a distinct political territory built and maintained for decades as Nigerias former political capital and now her economic capital
As long as Nigeria subsists as a collective union, Lagos will remain a No Mans Land! As the financial capital of the country, this state of status is essential. See what a supposed adult typed..OMG..Dont you know that 90% of today Lagos state were formerly in Western region..Why will you be calling my state a no mans land. This is the height of it and it should be viewed as hate speech .Why only igbos. You are talking about agbero..is their no agbero in your home state Anambra...Before you dabble into Lagos issue, ask questions first . The only place where their is Benin influence is only one local government out of 20 local governments . |

CodeTemplar: Is It Proper For Alpha Beta to Get Fixed Cut of Lagos Tax Revenue?
Considering how taxes are paid, the process of receiving a N10 million tax into the state coffer is similar to the process of receiving a N1,000 tax. Why should a consultant get a cut of 10% for both transactions thereby banking N1million for the bigger tax and just N100 for the smaller tax.
The cut of Apha Beta as a consultant is suppose to be a flat fee if it is to be done on a transaction amount basis. Don't you know that from the 10%, banks earn as high as 3% from each transaction? They are working to increase it to 5%. |

You are going no where Mr Terminator. He thinks everything is easy like that, you will do this you will do that just to appeal to voters without any good plan in sight.mcheeew If he tries it, Lagos IGR that enter his eyes will nosedive..i know ABC won't release the details of tax payers in their custody. Many people and organization will start evading tax. Leave him |

heykims: Thank you Alpha Beta. These children of hate even don't realise that the company services other states in Nigeria and not just Lagos. There are PDP controlled states using the service of Alphabeta. Don't mind them...Why didn't they complain when ABC was doing the field work of getting tax payers details..They are expecting ABC to labor in vain..If LASG changes ABC, their revenue will nosedive...fact..Whatever ABC earns, I know banks earn around 3% from it... |
Politics › Re: Yojora Explains How Alpha Beta Helps Lagos Improve Revenue Generation by Jogs1900: 8:14am On Mar 12, 2023 |
ProtectMyMoney: Lirs should have its own inhouse technology for Tax collections called LagTax or LagosTax. This is very affordable to build and own inhouse.
So that they don't keep losing money from deductions by Consultants such as ABC.
It doesn't work that way..You know each payer has it's own unique payer id generated from ABC platform ..Now, if Lagos state wants to build their own Lagtax as you've suggested, ABC wont allow this payer details synchronized into the new platform..Meaning Lagos state government will have to make use of consultants going to the field collating details of tax payers again...It will take time to capture millions of eligible tax payers in Lagos. Its kinda difficult . People are raising eyebrows now because of the volume of transactions.Dont let us forget where ABC started from a meagre 600m monthly . Moreover, whatever ABC gets as commission monthly, Banks collect their shares too from ABC. |

kaylardz: I thought the northerners will chop Tinubu money and betray him as predicted by 'obidient' apologist. But they turned out to be the most reliable political ally. I see a long-term presidential power rotation between the north and west. South south are already building bridges with their voting pattern in the just concluded election. I wish easterners can also see beyond and play national politics the right way. Some people thought all tribes will be as greedy as theirs. I'm happy The north chop Tinubu money and they delivered .They are loyal to the cause. Now, with Tinubu at the helms of affairs, Obi and Atiku will be relegated. Even Sanwo Olu is now safe as Jagaban has stepped in to campaign for him. |

Every Division/Ibile that make up Lagos should rise and demand changes in many things. The Obas and Baales must stop this ideas of being accommodating at the detriment of self preservation. We must demand it. I pray Sanwo Olu wins the election..That's when we the indigenes will start putting pressure on him else APC will loose our support too.Its bad seeing a group of people from a particular region determine who rules us..We expect him to bring out Yoruba agenda to be backed by the president..Lagos civil service has to be purged ..Let them build an estate where Alaba is or the areas APC lost to LP to be solely allocated to Yorubas alone to alter the demographics in those locations. Its our state. To hell with the stupid tax they claim they pay to LASG . Preservation of our land, heritage and culture matters here. |
Politics › Re: APC Will Compensate Civil War Victims In Rivers – Amaechi by Jogs1900: 12:43pm On Mar 10, 2023 |
Lukuluku69: This part of history their elders never told the younger ones. They have been taught that the Yorubas hated them as such they carry that falsehood within themselves. During the War or events leading to it, No Igboman or woman was lynched or mob attacked in all of Yorubaland. There are countless stories of Igbos being housed for the duration of the war in Lagos, Ibadan and many other places.
Their properties were left standing and most came back and reclaim it after the war with rents collected from Yorubas from Yorubas for Igbos. Yet you hear the same stories day in day out that the Yorubas hates on them. It's pathetic calling another person's land a no mans land from a particular tribe. They didn't call portharcourt that shares boundary with them a no mans land rather my state that is miles away from them....Why only them?.If we that Lagos is our state of origin and by extension allow this to go on, a time will come Hausa fulanis will start creating Emirates in Lagos..If this happen, where will our grand children claim as their own state of origin?...Where did we go wrong? This must stop. |
