with other opposition parties like APGA,SDP and Labour party to upstage the Apc and clinched senate presidency. I am sure even some
Apc members would have voted for Ike Ekweremadu if he had vied for senate presidency. I am still worried and confused why smarter guys like
us aren't rich and have the wherewithal to contest for elections in this country. If i am a senator on Pdp platform,the result of this red chamber would have favored pdp more than what they had got. Actually Pdp goofed badly as they had all it takes to clinch the senate presidency. APc was in disarray at the time of
going into election of the officials of senate and pdp would have capitalized on the polarization of apc and elect one of its own
as the Senate president and deputy respectively. With 49 senators of pdp and those from accord party,labor,sdp and apga, pdp would have comfortably defeated the apc at the senate election. Pdp needs smarter politicians in 2019 to wrestle power from apc.
