I pray these people are able to justify their claims with provable evidences. I sense anger of eye(envy) and that of the heart (hatred). Cos as someone righly said: 'if the accused were a nobody today all these wouldn't have emanated in the first place'. Which way please?

EducationRe: Boy Commits Suicide After Failing Jamb PICS by Johnjanrt: 11:14am On May 16, 2019
LadyEsther:
When some of us write posts encouraging one another to hold on, in this struggles of life, a certain group of people believes that those who write motivational posts are jobless people who are not ready to work but choose to encourage themselves with motivational posts.

It's so sad to see that some people commit suicide thinking it's the solution to their problems.
Let me tell you what those that kill themselves believe in before carrying out the act. They believe that when they kill themselves, then they don't have to suffer any longer. But is that truly the case?
People are going through tough times. There's no money, no job, not even true love. When someone works so hard to succeed and things are not working for him, he's not expected to be happy. This sadness if not handled can be dangerous; the victims begin to consider suicide as an option. You can never understand the pains of this set of individuals until you find yourself in their shoes.
So, try as much as you can not to judge the victims of this act, especially when you have never done anything to help a friend in need.

Suicide is not an option. It will never be. When one begins to consider suicide and the Spirit of God is not there to caution him (that is if he listens), neither is there anybody to talk to him, it may be too late.

Surrender to God and allow him to guide you. He will never lead you into killing yourself.
Hold on to whatever it is you believe in. But please, don't allow suicide thoughts to win.

Learn to talk to people.
Before now, I have always been a person of my own. I don't tell people my problems because of the fear of being insulted. Even up till now, you will never understand my battles until I tell you. Recently, I have discovered the importance of talking to someone about my battles. This is it. People that you talk to may not be able to help you with the materials you need at that time, but they can always talk to you. They can always encourage you. Sometimes, we discover that the battles we think we are facing is nothing to be compared with that of others. I can't remember the number of times I shared my worst fears with someone, but at the end of the day, I am the one that summarizes the discussion with motivational speech because then I realized that the person needed it more than me. Talk to someone.

Don't lock up yourself indoors while you bath yourself with hot tears. Come out and have a view. I'm sure that you will see/hear something to be grateful for.
There's always something to be grateful for but the evil one will not let you see it.

Understand that without challenges, then life is incomplete. Embrace the challenges and use it for your good.

Allow yourself to be loved. Don't be the one giving out love to a particular person all the time, and when it's not reciprocated, you start considering suicide. Allow someone to love you.

Help one another. The person you refused to help even when you can, may be the next suicide victim. Help someone overcome their battles.

Check up on your loved ones once in a while; they may be going through hell and they only need your little care to be fine. You may not be able to forgive yourself when you hear they are gone and you couldn't do anything for them.

Stay strong. Stay happy. Stay blessed.

jayfolarin:
I mentioned something similar in one of the threads I created a while back.

Nigerians want the best things. You know, things like the Europeans have but dont want to pay for it. How do expect world class infrastructures to be built when 90% do not even pay taxes. Just with Oil moneyhuh

It doesn't work that way my friends. Nigerians have to collectively contribute to achieving the Nigeria of our dreams.

Edit: there are so many mentions, I can't reply everyone. So i'll just write this as an edit....

I think we all (at least most of) agree that taxes needs to be paid for infrastructures to be built but corruption and unaccountability is still a huge problem.

One day though, we will have to trust a government to do the right thing with taxes earned. I sincerely think this government is heading in that direction (I might be wrong). And when we have that government, I sincerely hope that everyone in the country will then contribute their fair share of taxes to build Nigeria up.

No one is gonna help us develop Nigeria if we don't. It's our house, our home, our land and if we don't take care of it, who will?
Well said bro, Nigerians deserve the best but often don't get that coming their way and you seem to blame that on the inability of Nigerians in keeping to Civic responsibility of paying taxes, Truth be told, Nigeria is often described as a country whose majority of its citizens barely earn up to 1 dollar daily, well this comparison use to be then when one dollar is equivalent to 140 naira. The inability of Nigerians to keep to their Civic responsibilities can solely be blamed on the government's failure to provide the necessary requirements for daily living to its citizens. Don't forget in the develop countries payment of taxes is not a matter of alternative, is an obligation or duty, in which failure to keep to that obligation is tantamount to litigation. The Nigeria government has not only denied its citizens what is there's but have gone to the extent of robbing them.

Good day fellow citizens of the federal republic of Nairaland. The subscribers to the network with the widest connection in the suburb of Jos metropolis precisely Angwan Rukuba, are currently being faced with great difficulties trying to put to use MTN network to make or receive calls, as a result this, activities involving business are on the verge of crumbling since calls are hardly made or received, the network has enjoyed wide range of patronage before now, which makes recharge and sim cards business thrive is now declining, most are beginning to seek alternatives. Again persons living around the community are bitterly complaining and saddened by the sudden turn of affairs to the worst or negative, with many beginning to see relationship with their loved ones being shattered all because of "no network". Furthermore 'no network' has suddenly transformed into the most used phrase in Angwan Rukuba, why? because at all times when calls are received the person receiving it immediately retorts with sorry 'no network'. The the condition is so sad that is gradually becoming alarming for nothing has been done about the ugly situation in spite of several complaints being made. This very condition has lasted for more than two weeks, and at the moment there are no hopes of any improvement. However if the service providers feels okay with the state of affairs, fine but I will like to assure them that in no distant future, they should be ready to lose a wide range of of customer base. Please are there person's who can help or have ideas on what to do? Please pass across until this reaches the appropriate authorities.
