I was exactly like you in a top medical sciences course in a top federal uni in Nigeria. In short i had same issues with parents back in the day. I was forced into the medical line but i wanted engineering. I asked myself what the hell am i doing here? I was done with all this. I know your pain, i know your exact pain. I eventually stopped attending classes then i dropped out to discover what i wanted in life. The journey wasn't easy trust me you need Valle big fvvcking balls to stand by what you want. & Going against people who spent money on you. Well at the end it was worth it for me. Your story can never be as mine. It depends on you.

If you're already doing something else that you have a passion for and has the potential to make it big then go for it. If you looking to start afresh on an unknown path then just close your eyes & finish trust me it's just 2 years. The time Will still pass anyway. It depends on what you do with it. This is as practical as it can get.

Since you do not have intense passion for the course that you are currently studying, I will gladly advice you to change your path to where your desires and strength lie. Your age is not a factor to be put into consideration because you are still relatively young. So do not follow the path that will make you unhappy and frustrated for the rest of your life.

With what I've read so far, my advice is to follow the counsels above.

Don't follow the ''finish your present course'' replies, that's the Nigerian mentality kicking in as Nigerians are accustomed to suffering and smiling.

Prayerfully switch courses when the opportunity presents itself, and do the IT certification courses on the side.

In short, Follow Your Bliss...
