Travel / Re: Nigerians Abroad Help Me To Travel Out by Johnny(m): 5:15pm On Mar 31, 2008
Did someone just ask what he will be doing abroad? Anyway, let me leave that for now!

Ol'boy if you can afford to pay for a visa and ticket, I think you have enough money to make it in Nigeria!

That does not mean that if you have the chance (genuine chance) of making it abroad that you shouldn't take/use it! just becarefull with who you give your money in promise for visa.

Life is not easy abroad but its worth the effort!

Matured advice there. Nairalanders who claim to base in America and Europe tend to think that it's their birthright to be there. I can bet that a good number of them did very bad and ugly things to get abroad. And a very good number of them will be deported due to their unwholesome attitudes. Apart from making it abroad easily, basic amenities, which every sane man desire in life are readily and efficiently available. I would prefer to own 100 dollars in America or Europe to having 100,000 naira here in Nigeria. This is were crime rate is very low. The weather condition is very friendly. Water flows freely. Light is constant. Political leaders are commited to giving quality services to the electorates. A land where people work like ant but eat like elephants. And many more.Who wouldn't want to go abroad! I believe in my country. Nigeria is endowed with alot of opportunities, BUT if I have my way, I will travel out of this country. It's not always bed of roses, but it's not also always regretable.

Please am also intrest of knowing where about him, any body that have a Gennie information should just past it for us to sea

I hate this post. Disjointed English, and yet asking as if we are Gani's keepers. If you are so desperate to 'sea' Gani, then go to his house in Lagos and find him out.

Just tell them that the Evil Genius has been assasinated, and billions of hard currency siezed from his Hiltop Mansion, built with the tax payers money. They will go to church and mosque to thank God. But you might be killed if they find out that you are just fooling them.

Politics / Re: Efcc Commences Probe Of Obasanjo, Others by Johnny(m): 3:23pm On Mar 31, 2008
How much has EFCC probed IBB. The sun shines on those standing before those kneeling under them. Any probe of former heads of state that does not start with IBB will never see the light of the day. The Evil Genius remains the most corrupt Nigerian leader, and HE MUST BE BROUGHT TO BOOK. And I promise you all that EFCC can NEVER probe OBJ!!
Politics / Re: Where Is Chief Gani Fawehinmi? by Johnny(m): 3:13pm On Mar 31, 2008
The man has contributed his own widow's mite to the development of Nigeria, and we will always remember him. I am not one of his great fans, but the fact that he's a staunch opposer of IBB endears him to me alot. Otherwise, he makes alot of noise, like Soyinka, faulting whatever any other person does. Ever since I read in one of the National dailies that he could not attend his daughter's (or son's?) wedding, I knew the 'Legal Luminary's' time is up.
May he rest alive in peace untill he departs this troublesome world to meet with his ancestors. Amen.

Politics / Re: The Tivs Of Benue Want To Break Away by Johnny(m): 11:19am On Mar 28, 2008
The break away of the Tiv race from Benue state will be a very good omen for the state. This is a race that has dominated political and economic affairs of the state since her inception, leaving the so - called minority tribes to eat from the crumbs that fall off their tables. Let them go! Any where they want to go, let them go. Some people are even fronting that the Tiv should go and join with the Ebiras to form Kogi state, while the Igalas and the Idomas form Benue state. The former will eplode one day and and finish themselves, and they will be driven to extinction. Ebira\Igala and Tiv\Idomas combination is a misnomer. How can wolf and sheep inhabit the same territory? But now that Tivs want to go to Cameroun, we wish them safe journey. At least, they will be peace, and for the very first time, the 'minority groups' can smell the seat of power.

@Vallo57
Johnny, you said

"I am not an admirer of the Yorubas due largely to their tribalistic nature, know-it-all mind and their gossip life"

And you are residing in a Yoruba city. you should be ashame. Go back to your stinking town and go starve to death. we don't need your kind in a place that you detest its people
.

I don't reside in any Yoruba city. I only did my Youth Service in Ibadan, and left there since 2006. I'm right now in the Federal Capital Territory. But lets not quarrel over my statement, at least I have the right to express my feelings.
Politics / Re: Obasanjo And Proplems Of Nigeria by Johnny(m): 1:55pm On Mar 26, 2008
I am not an admirer of the Yorubas due largely to their tribalistic nature, know-it-all mind and their gossip life, but from the very first day that OBJ became our President, I have never ceased to like and love him. My love for him started when he inaugurataed the Oputal panel, which IBB and his cronies frustrated. I could see a man who was on a mission to restructure Nigeria, which was badly destroyed by the millitary regime especially IBB. The truth must be said and known, although at times bitter, but it's the only thing that can set us free.
OBJ may not be a saint, but I was proud to have him as my President. If the IBB had done half of what OBJ did, Nigeria would not have been where it is today. Which money did OBJ steal that can ever amount to the 18 billion dollars of inherited debt he paid? Why are we not asking about the popular 'Oil Wind Fall'? Today IBB is the richest and strongest former head of state, and yet we can not cast a stone at him. OBJ gave all the best he could to the Nation, but it's not always easy to right a wrong that was perpetrated for 18 years in just 8 years, especially when such righting should have to get the nod of the National Assembly.
All the policies, which OBJ initiated are policies that will librate us from poverty and suffering if they are pursued to a logical conclusion. Privitization is the only hope we have in getting the basic amenities. We should not forget that what belongs to everybody, belongs to no one. Is it monetization, SEEDS, NEEDS etc that would not benefit us in the long run? We should appreciate this man for once. He has many enemies today because he wouldn't give the old and dubious men who have hijacked and impoverished this nation for long, access to the national cake. It was no longer business as usual, and they are now the ones making the loudest noise. Then looking at the kind of people OBJ worked with; The Soludos, el-Rufais, Akunnyulis, Doras, Ribaddos, Obys, name them, I wonder if he did not really mean well for the nation. Finally, he single-handedly brought in a man, who we are now calling a Messiah,to be our President scheming out the likes of IBB and Atiku who we all know have nothing to offer this country again. Could a man who 'performed so poorly' work with this kind of people?
But I believe one thing; History will surely vindicate the man. For the mere fact that he anointed a corrupt- free person to succeed him, shows that he wants this country to move forward. Otherwise, he would have sold us to IBB or Atiku or Rimi or even Balaraba Musa. But God has always been on our side.
Last word for Yar'Adua; Watch your back. Beware of the cabal that wants to take over power. You allowed the governors to choose PDP chairman for you, dont be suprised if you are schemed out of things. Watch who you recieve at the Villa, some are only looking for your downfall. If you abandoned OBJ as some people are 'advising', then you and the Nation are finished. Beware of wolf in sheep clothing!!!
Politics / Re: Corruption Charges: Yar’adua Fires Ministers Of Health by Johnny(m): 12:58pm On Mar 26, 2008
That's not new to Nigerian polity. OBJ sacked Ministers and Senate President too for corrupt charges. Its a good thing happening to us. One other Minister that should be removed for lack of vision is Aliu Modibbo of FCT. The man has messed up Abuja. Abuja's lost glory, which el-Rufai redeemed has been lost again.

Family / Re: I Caught My Wife Cheating: What Do I Do? by Johnny(m): 2:45pm On Mar 25, 2008
I agree with Scanbater tell us the real and the true story, it hardly happens that a wife with all the luxuries you claim to have will go out of the matrimonial home, looking for what?

Which other real and true story do you guys want to hear? Are you just knowing that you women could be funny at times? Or there are justifiable reasons for a woman to cheat on her husband?
Now to the poster, please even your Pastor or Iman should not convince you into accepting that woman back. He can kill you. And do you know how much of your money she must have spent on her lovers? Please do away with this woman. If I catch my girlfriend cheating on me, it's parting straight, let alone a wife.
Family / Re: Ever Lost Someone As Dear As Family? Come Light A Candle For Them Here by Johnny(m): 2:27pm On Mar 25, 2008
I have always wondered why death will always take away the people that are mostly cheerished. I just lighted a candle for my lovely father who died on Jan.,9th 2006. As I was about closing the page, three people whose death will never depart from my mind came to my memory. Uptill now that I'm putting this down, I have not stopped wondering why death will ever think of taking those people let alone snatching them from their loved ones.

-Major Ahmed Ogboji (Rtd); This man was my Uncle, my mum's first counsin. He was a pillar in his immediate and extended family. Despite his tight schedules, this man will always have your audience. He was generous, jovial and very likeable. Then one night, he was driving in Makurdi town, unknown to him that what stood before him as a moving Coca Cola truck was indeed a stationary one; and he ran into it! He never left there alive.

-Aunty Ladi Gabriel; We were neighbours in my village. She stayed in kano, from where she was the pillar in her family. She brought back the hope of the family, built a befitting house for her mum, got jobs for her younger ones and was very generous too. Then in December 2003, this wonderful woman travelled all the way from Kano to spend the Christmas with her family. The journey was successful and the celebration came and went peacefully and joyfully. Then she embarked on a trip to visit her friend in one of the neighboring towns with two of her kids. On their way home, the bus in which they were travelling somersaulted while on high speed. An accident that could not even claim the life of the baby the woman had, claimed Aunty Ladi's life. She died three days after in the hospital. I was devastated. The mum was devastated. Everybody was devastated.

-Rev. Paul Green Obekpa; Rev. Paul was one young man who was doing excellently well in the vinyard of God. In six years, he had built a large church with church memebers numbering above a thousand at Ado, New Karu, Nasarawa state near Abuja. He was a preacher of Holiness, a down to earth young man, blunt but sincere. Then one day, while I was doing my Youth service in Ibadan, my brother who was once a pastor in the church called me that Rev. Obekpa had died. Unbelievable! He was sick, taken to the hospital and gave up to ghost there.

How many candles will I light for these ones! Their death will ever remain in my memory. They died at the time they were mostly needed. Death must be e very wicked monster.
Adieu to you all. May your souls continue to rest in peace.
Family / Re: Ever Lost Someone As Dear As Family? Come Light A Candle For Them Here by Johnny(m): 1:50pm On Mar 25, 2008
I'm lighting this unqencheable candle for my dad, Mr Emmanuel Omale Adunga Enemari, who departed this world on the 9th of January, 2006. He was loving, kind and very playful. I and my siblings will dearly miss him. Adieu dad. We love you, but God loves you more. Continue to rest in His hands untill we meet to part no more.
Jobs/Vacancies / Should I Take This Job? by Johnny(m): 12:16pm On Mar 25, 2008
I left school for sometime now still searching for a well - paid job. A friend of mine who just got job with an American Agency notified me that he was going to open a cyber cafe' for me to be in charge. The place is now opened, I'm even sending this thread from my office now. My problem is that, is it ok for me to take this job being a graduate, and how much is the proper pay for the manager of a cyber cafe'?
Politics / Re: Nigeria Will Split Soon! by Johnny(m): 2:38pm On Mar 21, 2008
Posts like this really amuse me. It shows how shallow, immature and inexperienced the posters are when it comes to war and national turbulance. I know for real that those of you beating the drums of war are either frustrated Nigerians who have nothing to lose in thimes of war, or you are just being acting the script written by devil from the pit of hell. Who do you think benefits from anarchy and war? The funny thing is that those who started fire are easily consumed by the same fire. We should better learn how to live in peace now, because Nigeria will never experience war again.
Politics / Re: Election Tribunal Reverses Daylight Robbery, Declares Adams Oshiomhole Gov by Johnny(m): 2:26pm On Mar 21, 2008
I still wonder how the Tribunal in Oyo state arrived at the judgment they gave in favour of Alao Akala. Oyo and Edo states have the worst election during the April polls, yet the woman in charge of Oyo's tribunal saw nothing wrong in that election. Anyway, Congratulations to Adams, he deserves nothig short of victory.
Politics / Re: Yoruba Emulate Kosovo - Want Out Of Nigeria by Johnny(m): 5:51pm On Mar 05, 2008
This will definately be a good omen for those of us that have been consistently schemed out of major managerial and juicy positions by the Yorubas who feel they know it all. At least we can get employment in coporate and government institutions where Yorubas consider themselves as the only 'qualified' candidates to be recruited.
I'm just baring out my mind.
Politics / Re: Cnn Apologises To Atiku Over Report On Corruption Charge by Johnny(m): 5:10pm On Jan 22, 2008
"In a story in our December 8, 2007 telecast concerning corruption in Africa, it was reported that

former Nigerian Vice President Abubakar was indicted on corruption charges by Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

"Not included in that report was the fact that a Nigerian court subsequently dismissed the charges, finding that the charges were unfairly pursued against Mr. Abubakar and also noting that they were ‘grossly unconstitutional’ and a ‘deliberate usurpation of the judicial power,’" CNN said on Saturday evening in its INSIDE AFRICA programme monitored in Lagos.

"According to his attorney, there are no indictments pending against Mr. Abubakar in any jurisdiction,"
I just couldn't find the phrase
'we are sorry'
or
'we apologise'
in the statement above as Atiku and his men are making us to believe.
