PoliticsSenator Enang Should Be Prosecuted... Who Else Is With Me On This? by Johnrake69(op): 9:04pm On Jan 14, 2016
The event currently unfolding at the National Assembly with respect to the appropriation bill is really a national disgrace.
How long can we continue to watch helplessly as the act of impunity by our leaders goes unchecked. The leaders whom we consciously signed a social contract with, for the sole purpose of managing and protecting our common wealth for the greater good of all Nigerians.

At this point I believe we should demand that the issue of the appropriation bill, alleged to have been altered by Senator Enang shouldn't be swept under the carpet as usual. If something as significant as the appropriation bill can be altered by a single man, then, we are finished as a nation.

Who is with me on this? huh

I am a student staying on campus so I don't have utility bill, but I will try and get the National I'd card.

I would prefer registering online for various reasons.
Alright... Its same thing. your not paying the money to me. Cos I won't even collect cash from you. Whether you register through me or through the site. Your expected to pay into our ARM money market fund account with Gtbank. And I believe having someone like me to guide you all the way should make things alot easier for you. But, its your call.

Okay, where is ARM? Cos am in Osun state @ d moment (Ile-Ife to be precise). Moreover do I need to open a bank account with you guys?
We don't have an office in Osun state. But what I can do for you is to email you the form; and you complete it and scan back to me, which should be accompanied by the kyc requirement. Like your national government issued ID and your utility bill which serves as a proof of your address.

Note: Distance is not a barrier cos we have clients that invest from UK and America.

@drdams well done and happy new year. Seems your one of our client.

Thanks. I went to First Bank branch and enquired about the mutual funds option that was #5000 as minimum requirement. They directed me to one dude who was just talking about me dropping #5000 per month. I was just discouraged as I planned to drop #5k once and keep using it for a year or thereabouts.

Maybe I will ask from another branch.
Maybe you should try us out at ARM. The ARM Money market fund is very flexible. Minimum investment of #5000 and the minimum additional is #1000 and its not mandatory you make additional payment into the account monthly. Its actually at your discretion I.e, anytime you have any extra money you don't want to spend, you can pay it into your account with us.

@Carpenter
What role does a Register play in the FBN MM? According to your story, you had signature issue with the Register during the time of your fund redemption. I invested in FBN MM fund but i never had a any dealing with the Register. Please clarify.
There are three parties involved in the Mutual funds investment
-The fund manager
-The Registrar
The Custodian

The Registrar is charged with all the documentation.
Anytime you want to redeem your investment, your redemption form is taken back to the Registrar to ensure that what you have filled out corresponds with their record. Any discrepancy will be communicated back to the client so the necessary reconciliation is done.

Hope this is useful

I had this issue with mutual benefit. I lost 30% of my savings and I vowed never to patronise any other insurance service except car insurance. These guys will tell you that your Acct officer didn't remit your monthly premium/savings.

Get though with these guys, search for the company's CEO and EDs online send emails to the company's info mail.
Fight dirty.
I think you were not properly intimated with respect to what insurance policy is about.

Insurance is primarily not an investment. Although, recently, insurance companies have tried to develop products that include investment. But, how it works is that every premium you pay is apportioned into both insurance coverage and investment. The investment part is what you get back if you want to exit. And the penalty will be on the coverage. That is why they are in business. Cos if something happens to the policy holder after making just the first premium payment, the insurance company is bound to pay the beneficiary the SUM ASSURED.

Do you pay into the account officer's bank account or the company itself? Cos am aware that it is usually stated that on no account should one remit any money directly to your account officer.

Contributed into a Retirement Savings Account running into millions. Now out of job for months and can't get another one. Contribution to pension can't continue. Can't even feed family. I think I am going to die in few months if things continue this way. Family pressure is way more than I can handle.
Sadly I get monthly emails of millions I can only access when I am sixty. I don't think I would survive another month without a job. Something has to be done. I need professional advice.
God bless you.
Your entitled to 25% of your contribution once you have been out of job for four months. You should contact your PFA.

Bamz:
ednut1 and the house, greetings!

My tbills investment matured days ago but I'm at my wit ends atm. The rates are not encouraging as it seems. Thinking of waiting till March or there about before dabbling into tbills again. In the mean time, Access and GT say they can give me 4% on fixed deposit while I wait for the tbills. What do you guys think?
I think you should consider the money market for the main time or better wait till next T.bills auction since your willingly to accept 4%; the next auction can't possibly go below 4% I presume.

Am surprised that people get so attached to a particular investment vehicle which shouldn't be. And there again it balls down to our investment objective. If our investment objective is moving from point A to point B, and of course with the assumption that point B is a much better state. Then it wouldn't make any sense being attached to a specific investment vehicle. Its like someone traveling from Lagos to Abuja. When you board a bus, you obviously wouldn't want to drive the vehicle or own it. All you should be interested in is the bus taking you to your destination in this case which is Abuja.

Merry Christmas to the house!
And as we celebrate the season, remember that for "Every Naira you keep, puts tomorrow's worries to sleep.
