I am really grateful to God for His graciousness over me and my family because this can only be God. The journey to travel to Canada started with my hubby in 2020/2021 but he couldn't secure an admission. He also tried a UK sch but nothing positive. We both decided to switch the applicant and apply to Canada again and several UK schs. I became the Principal applicant for Canada and we both did several UK schs. I was given admission less than 2 weeks after I submitted my application and we both had 7 admissions all together from UK schs. We decided to stick with Canada as travelling to UK now is not beans. It was really a tough decision for us when we wanted to apply for Visa. We read of how it was best for one person to go first before others joining but the thought of leaving my husband and son behind scared me oo so we decided to put our faith in God and submit as a family. We praise the name of the Lord because it has ended in praise.
I'd like to say a big thank you to all our support system in this application for admission and Visa journey. God bless you all and to Nairaland family..you guys ehnn you too much. God bless you all including our gurus( Frank, Anon and several others. Your selfless service will never go unrewarded by the Almighty. And to all PPR hopefuls you are next in Jesus name. Amen
Sorry for the long post, I just had to be explicit enough for others who want to apply as a family. Congratulations to you & yours |

adefunkeadelaku: @ johnstan and other gurus, pls don't say my wahala is much ooo, am sorry for disturbing you, pls while scheduling for the medicals I filled my second sons nigeria passport number, but we actually plan to use his america passport for the visa, is there a way I can edit it on the iom portal pls help me out oooo. Lol, i don't know about that, however, you will be required to undergo another round of documentation at the venue though it entails confirming the information you filled while booking the appointment. I believe at that point you can choose to update any information you have like the passport change. |

trinityconcept: Hello everyone please I have a challenge
I graduated with a 2:2 here in Nigeria 3.05/5.0, candian universities use 4.0 so when I convert mine to a 4.0 scale I get like 2.44. Almost all schools I've tried applying to in Canada have a general admission requirements of lowest 2.7 to 3.0.
Even though I now have a rich work experience I don't know if I should ignore their cut off and just apply
What's your Advice please Do you think I stand a chance This is mostly the requirement for a master's degree. For post graduate degrees your GPA is not as compulsory, you can even apply with your Waec certificate. If you insist on going for a master's degree, you might need to research further to get a school that will accept your GPA. Good luck |

HelperDeji: Please for the Q-life medical checks, when will they get back to us concerning the test results?
Are we to go back there or they will send us a mail? Your results will be sent to IRCC directly within 5 - 10 business days, however, you can forward the medical e-information sheet/receipt you were given to IRCC via webform or mail. If you want a personal copy of your results send QLife a mail, I did out of curiosity and IOM sent me mine. |

Thisuserwanjapa: Good day everyone,
My school is set to resume September 6 and I've applied since may 14th and up till now still no ppr. My question is, is it a good decision to defer my admission to January as I have not gotten my visa yet. Please I need any advice I can get. My opinion tho, the option to differ should be your next move within 2, max 3 weeks to your resumption date not 6 to 7 weeks before your resumption. Remember that once you differ you will be issued another LOA which you will now need to forward to IRCC to have as an updated information. Simply ensure you have done everything you're meant to do then send mails and webforms to them requesting for feedback and by his grace it will end in praises for you. |

SaniceSanice123: Good morning, Q life said they will send my medicals to IRCC, should I also go to the hospital and collect my medical result when it’s out and also upload it through webform ? They will transmit it to IRCC within 5 - 10 business days thats within a week or two, however, you can still forward the medical e-information sheet/receipt you were given after your tests as a proof to them via mail or webform. You can mail QLife to request for your results, you don't necessarily need to go physically. IOM sent mine to me via mail. Good luck |

Odyree: Good morning, Nairalanders.
This is my first post here, and I just had to make it after reading other people’s comments about their study visa application. I must say this has been the most nerve wracking moment of my life. I really wish I came across this forum much earlier before I started my application.
I submitted my application 2months ago, May 20th 2022. I had my biometrics done prior because I had applied for a visitor visa before. Eligibility review started June 30th and I have been waiting for the medical request. I didn’t think I could do an upfront medical exam anymore since I had already submitted my application that was why I was waiting for IRCC to contact me. I have been freaking out lately because my school is resuming on the 8th of September 2022 (today is 19th July) and I feel I’m seriously running out of time to get this visa approved.
Anyone also facing this same situation??
Any helpful advice from the experts on here would be very much appreciated. Thank you. I can understand your anxiety, everyone is including me and it's not your fault. Firstly I would advise you go for your upfront medicals if you're yet to because for a permit longer than 6 months you will need it. Waiting to get the request before you go for the test and then waiting for it to be updated on your application is another time wasting away which you can save. Don't be hard on your self and be positive. It will end in praises for everyone of us. Good luck. |

Fred98: Good morning house, please I applied in march and there has been no update since biometric and medicals updated in march. Eligibility review has not started. Is there anything I can do ?? Based on feedback from others I've read here, it's best you mail them and send a web form as well. If I'm not mistaken your application is over 12weeks (3 months). Good luck |

PERVERTKAP009: Morning gurus in the house. Please the program I want to apply for a post graduate degree is a 1 year course. Will I be able to request for a work permit or permanent resident after completion? Cause have been hearing only 2years and above are qualified for that.
@anon @johnstan Yes you can, however, be sure to check that it's really up to a yr or more than 8 months then you will be qualified for 1 yr pgwp. Courses above 1 yr will grant you 2-3 yrs work permit. |

MotolaniBolaji: Good morning everyone, Please concerning the proof of Funds, I know most people have said you should have the money in the account for at least 4months prior.
I want to confirm, is this four months before you even start the visa application or what? For example, for someone who started the application in February 2022, should the money have been in the account since October 2021? It's just as per advice, to show that your POF are not sudden inflows and you have a good turnover in the account. However, the main point is to prove you can financially support yourself. If you have sudden lump sums - explain in your sop with the receipts and reasons e.g you sold a land etc If it's a build up of funds like in a business account - provide your company documents If it's a build up from salary inflows - provide your pay slip and if possible letter of introduction from your employer and employment letter. It's a standard requirement that your statement should be at least 4 months duration. Hope that helps. Good luck. |

chytai: Thank you but 490 is too much, can I pay 470? I'm paying for family of 5(785cad) Most Naira cards won't work, physical Dollar cards are begging to misbehave, virtual dollar cards might still work (confirm before you use any). Funding of the card most times entails buying dollar from black market because banks don't sell FX. Black market rate now is around N615/$1 and N477/CAD 1. It changes everyday. Good luck. |

apeja2017: I applied for a post graduate certificate 1year centennial college, but the representative replied me that the program has already closed for the intake and now recommend a related course for me but what she recommend for me was an advanced diploma program 2years.
Note: Bsc holder with years of experience bothe the degree, experience and program are all related.
Should I go ahead an accept the advanced diploma? My own opinion tho. You can proceed with the other option if you're sure it's related. Pros - You can obtain 2-3 yrs pgwp after a 2yrs program Cons - you have to show enough funding for your program duration and living expense. Good luck. |

Here's the challenge: the payment instructions generated from flywire doesn't have information on Bank account IBAN to be filled in the Form A, hence, I can't move to the next page. More so, I just found out on Google that Canada doesn't use IBAN. Please, what's the way forward. Many thanks in advance. Simply input the bank account number or Routing Number in the IBAN column and proceed. That IBAN column is not really important so long as you filled every other column correctly |

You can even search with your former appointment ref number on the portal to confirm its no longer valid.
