For MBS, I’m not sure that will work, because it’s has just username and passcode, I don’t think they have that time like IRCC does.

You can go with your self generated bank statement or go to the bank for a print out and stamp.

Goodluck

Ok thanks

Who has an idea?
For POF at immigration in Canada, should it be a new MBS statement, and unofficial Statement self generated or an official statement stamped in the bank ?

Your passport with visa and proof of covid 19 vaccination as the immigration at the nigeria airport will request for it
your letter of introduction
Letter of acceptance /
Verification of enrollment
Ready to explain your Proof of funds or payment of tuition fees to immigration of officer if requested
Note Your School term start date.

Welcome to canada
Temperatures :

Carry your winter jacket with you!

Is COVID vaccine compulsory, it's updated on IRCC as no longer required.

I have not gotten. Even acknowledgement for ppt I have not seen from VFS, had a live chat with them this morning though, they gave me tracking ID but its showing no record found when I try to track it.

Nah, that their tracking website doesn't work. Tried it severally and it kept returning error messages.
If you got a tracking ID from vfs it means they have received your ppt, it Shud start with 2022...........
Just keep asking them for feedback and also checking your email for their response.

For the GIC, is the Naira option available? I cannot see the option when I tried filing the form.

Please help a sister urgently

Gic is usually used to open a Canadian account and fund it for use as POF, I doubt you will be able to fund it in Naira i.e have a Naira Gic account.

Dear All, I thank God . My Applications was approved today.
I don't have enough time to make the trip. Pls can I defer my program till January 2024. If I defer it, is it compulsory to notify IRCC about deferment or I shld enter first in December 2023 before notify them. Pls I need advice
Congratulations
Did you mean defer till Jan 2023 or 2024. I doubt your school will let you defer for a full year but try.
If it works then notify IRCC.
Remember your visa will not exceed your passport validity.

Processing time is 9 weeks now. It changed yesterday

That's great, they are getting there.
This thing used to be 4 weeks before COVID came and disrupted things.

I would love to join a WhatsApp or telegram group of people who have applied to Lambton College or have gotten admission.

Hi Aramide,
You can see people asking questions and posting responses here but you prefer to join a WhatsApp/telegram group.
Is there a particular question you need answers for?

Please guys check the image
They said where i did my secondary school should mail my transcript to the university

Your high school transcript is usually your original Waec certificate from Waec showing your grades and not your secondary school testimonial.
That's what Wes evaluates as high school transcript and what you would use if your school does not require a Wes evaluated transcript.

Good afternoon everyone, I am new here and I'm not sure if I am on the correct thread but I wanted to ask about the Canada study permit and people's timelines, my younger brother got admission to study in January, and we accepted the offer and submitted his visa application (first applicant, by ourselves no agent), we applied on October 11th, he did his biometrics already but no communication since, and his classes starts the first week of January, I am a bit nervous and don't know what to do now to quicken the process for him, please if anyone can familiar with the process can process feedback, advise or anything that has worked. God bless you!!!

IRCC processing time Is 12 weeks, Jan 11th will make it 12 weeks. Some people have gotten PPR within 4 weeks here tho but it's extremely rare at this time.

My advice, send webforms/emails for feedback if he has done medicals and biometrics and watch your school's resumption time to know when to defer and retain the admission while waiting for IRCC.

Good luck.

My POF document is about 32mb after been compressed and in the coloum available to upload shows the file must not exceed 2mb.
Please what should I do.
Please rush down to your bank and make use of MBS for your POF account statement.
You will be given a one page document after your statement is sent to IRCC directly. This one page document contains a code IRCC would use to Access your statement sent by your bank directly.

Compressing your printed or e-statement of about 32mb can cost you the application if it's not readable after the compression, IRCC will not notify you that they are unable to read it before making a decision on your application.

Good luck.

As an experienced banker i can categorically tell u that someone asking u to sign your signature on a sheet of paper and send to him can never be a good sign. That is definitely a red flag. Please enquire to know what it will be used for, if i were u i wont send my signature to anyone. Always ensure to read properly any document u want to append your signature on, else whatever comes out of it, u will be fully liable.

God bless you for this statement.
I wonder why someone will contract an agent for something as serious as this and decide to be an observer.
The person will just sit in the dark and allow the agent to be doing everything and anything.
How about politely asking to be present for certain actions.

I just got admitted for Master program for winter.

I am thinking may be I should request to be issued fall 2023?

Can I apply for fall 2023 now or later?

Wait is the school serious?
You can't possibly get a visa approval within 3 weeks except by the Grace of God.
Contact your school to know the actions you can take asap.

Congratulations on your admission.

Hmmm, same Friday, alright. I got a call from DHL Abuja today stating that VFS returned my documents because I didn't include a return envelope, alternatively I was asked to pay for Vsf courier partner and put the proof of payment and send it back to them, I have done that it got to them today but no acknowledgement yet still.

Call DHL office and ask about your documents.

Are you serious. What do they mean by return envelope.
Mine was sent in one large envelope tho I picked it up in VFS envelope. I guess they threw mine away.

After one has gotten his stamped passport what next?
Also how early can one come to Canada, cos I have my visa already and my program starts in May?

You will need your letter of introduction after ppt stamping.
You can enter Canada anytime if you can prove to immigration your reasons for early entry. If you can't prove then just chill. May is 5 months from now.

Attaching your supporting documents is one thing, arranging it is another thing. Ensuring that it is legible is another thing again.

You can only overturn a decision in court I think or you apply again.

Good luck.

Thank you once again

Hello Everyone,

Please before replying any direct email request from anyone on this platform, confirm and verify to be sure of who you are responding to avoid scammers. Do not click any unverified link sent to you. If you get an email in your inbox, telling you to do one thing or the other, do not click any link.

This cannot be over emphasized on a faceless platform.
Be careful with releasing private info e.g phone numbers, emails, application details just cause one is looking for answers.

Please does it matter if a sponsor has been used before? The person I intend using as sponsor has a child currently doing his undergraduate program in Canada.

Your ideas will be very much appreciated

Sponsors eligibility check is dependent on how much he has, how much he's able to set aside for you, his financial obligations and how sustainable his source of income is.

*Now your sponsor's SOA of 6 months will reveal his saved up funds and transaction frequency in terms of his inflows and outflows, this will reveal if he has bulk payments that he makes often e.g his child's payments and other financial commitments.
*His sponsorship letter/affidavit would usually state how much he is willing to set aside for you or the payments he's willing to make on your behalf.
*Your SOP will also state his source of income, his annual income amount of you may, a description of him and how's related to you - this would reveal if he has dependants he's taking care of financially.

Now with these few points, go back to the drawing board and find a way to show/explain that he's more than capable to take care of his fam and you as well.

Just wanted to confirm if 21st is okay or late

Trust me you don't want to gamble with which date is late or not.
Someone here was denied even after upfront medicals was done weeks prior, reason was that IRCC did not receive his results.

If you can get it done today please do or any time sooner than the deadline.

Someone should please help with this question.

After calling and sending emails to IOM to book me for a medical examination, I got a response from them. I have been scheduled for 21st of this month and the deadline IRCC gave to Complete my medical test is 30th of this month. Can I call them to reschedule me to an earlier date or just stick with the date and dont bother reaching out to them. I can still see 12th Dec on their portal but I'm unable to do the booking myself. Kindly advice

It's your application right, please do anything to meet up with IRCC deadlines so it doesn't cost you your application.

Good morning, please is it advisable to be checking the portal for updates or wait for the email to do so ( to check for new messages)?

Pls do the both for your peace of mind, there's no rule on how to check feedback from IRCC

Hopeful . I was thinking of withdrawing the application since admission expired already

You mean you didn't defer your admission when it was close due to the delayed feedback from IRCC.

You can apply for same program in same school for another intake and forward your new LOA to IRCC, your visa will still be valid when it's approved.
If your change school or program, you will have to apply afresh.
