Please who paid for vfs 1waycourier recently this month? Are they going to send your passport back to you with that?

If you used a one way courier service to send your ppt to VFS, you will be required to either pay VFS to return it to you via their own courier service or visit them in person for pick up

My Japa Family,

@Johnstan @Rekaxingend @Makano and others, does this mean his passport is ready for collection?

Abi we go get email saying "Passport ready for collection"?

The counterfoil I'm aware of is the one glued to the ppt when it's submitted, I'm not sure of the one that reflects on the portal.
Ppt pickup availability email/SMS comes from vfs where you submitted it and not from IRCC

Thank you so much.
Just made payment of a little over 1.1m to Vancouver....at least from Vancouver Airport to Kelowna Airport is about $250....which I am about making payment for.

Thank you all for your support....even with his imperfect application, I try package am as I learnt from this forum and used Webform to upload additional documents as I also saw some people list their submitted documents.
SOP was written by me after some professionals said we should pay 100k for award winning SOP but I was out of cash then.
It can only be God...for people believing God and waiting for their PPR, e go soon drop.

We await his passport from VFS...make I go dey arrange small foodstuffs for him.

Will be back much later. Peace...

Lol congratulations once again.
Arrange enough foodstuffs o.

Yea. They sent the LOI the next day after finalizing my application. Honestly, they didn't ask for the COVID card. But I just handed my passport with my own vaccine card together. It would just be best to have it to be on a safer side.

Ok great

LANDING GIST

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE DATES

PPR: Oct 21
Flight ticket purchased: Oct 27 to fly Dec 12
Passport submission: Oct 31 to VFS Lagos

After submitting my passport, the long wait began. VFS sent a message on Nov 17 that my passport has been dispatched to the embassy. That is 17 days after submission with no explanation whatsoever. Nov 30, still no update from VFS though IRCC replied on the 28th that my passport was in queue for printing. At this point, I was not sure what to believe. I was feeling concerned and stressed out. I thought my passport was probably missing. That's a whole month without collection mail.

Dec 5, yet no update. I contacted my pastor and he said we needed to fast and pray for three days starting from the 5th. We concluded the fasting on the 7th and he said I should not worry and that my passport would be sorted before the end of the week.

Next day, Thursday Dec 8, I got a message from IRCC that my application has been finalized. I started getting messages from VFS. The last one was that my passport has been dispatched to my VAC. In anticipation of getting pickup mail from Lagos VFS, I went to their office the next day which was Friday. Got there late though so I wasn't attended to.

Friday passed yet no pickup mail from Lagos VFS. Remember my flight is 12th (Monday). At this point, I decided to reschedule my flight since I hadn't gotten any pickup mail. Next day (Saturday), I went to Ethiopian Airlines to reschedule. They said they only had business class seats available through the year because all their flights had been fully booked. I inquired about the cost of rescheduling and the lady said over 500k. Omo I told her not to bother. Who has that kind of money?

I decided to go to Lagos VFS on Monday for collection despite not getting any pickup mail. I just believed my passport was there.

Dec 12, I went to VFS. Lo and behold, my passport was there. Lol. I collected it and drove straight to the airport. I made my flight and now I am in Canada.

I am just grateful to God. Those of us expecting from Him, will not be disappointed.

Congratulations.
Were you later sent your LOI as expected and was covid vaccine card requested for by Nigerian immigration.

Just want to be sure I am going for a good deal before I make payment.

Where are you flying to in Canada?
I saw less than a million naira flights but to Toronto.
And Toronto is far from Kelowna... it's only Vancouver that is closer, hence the use of Vancouver Airport as destination.

Choose an arrival airport close to your location and you will be fine. I don't think you would want to arrive at a province/location and start another journey to another province/location cos you booked a cheaper flight.
Someone here said he got a good deal for like a little over 800k like a page or two before this page. If you're still considering cost your might want to quote the post for him to shed more light.

No. It covers both for living expenses for the 2yrs which is 20kcad as well as extra 4kcad plus the 44kcad for tuition = Total 68kcad.

while the 50kusd online conversation to cad is greater than the total amount (68kcad).

With this explanation, pls what's your advice @johnstan and everyone. Thanks again.

Ok, if the loan covers your tuition and living expenses then go ahead, if it covers only one of the two then you will need extra.
It's always a good format to explain how the POF would be spent so the vo wouldn't base their judgement on assumptions.

So for how much did you book yours?
Less than a million and without layovers in countries that require Transit Visa.

I just book on their website, I wan pay later today.

Yea, it was less than a million with no stopovers in countries that require transit visas.

I think the booking without payment lasts for 24 hours so be sure to check that.

My Japa Family,
@Relaxingend @Johnstan,

This is the only Ethiopian flight that is not stopping over at Chicago.

This one is ABUJA to ADDIS ABABA to TORONTO to VANCOUVER,BC.
Then he will do local flight ✈️ from Vancouver to Kelowna.

What are we to select here?

Ok great, I'm not sure how you got to this option though so I can't say.
I paid in their office physically here in Lagos via bank transfer and it was booked.

Oh chill, if it's travel document they are asking, choose passport

I'm new here,

Pls I would like to ask you.
As regard to proof of fund.

I have a student loan of 50kusd
I have a gift deed of a property from my mom
A landed property owned by my dad
Another landed property owned by my mom and also a car
Then my pension documents
And my bank statement closing balance is btw 300k to 500k but inflow and out flow of about 1m

Pls is this good and okay for a proof of fund?

Btw, I'm going for 2yrs post graduate program
Total tuition fee is 44kcad.
I have paid my tuition deposit fee of 2500kcad with zero balance from my student account statement from school.

Pls is this good to go for a proof of fund?

@johnstan and others pls help and advice is needed. Thanks.

POF is funds readily available to you to cover your expenses so landed properties, vehicles and pension are not included. They can stand as home ties for you but not POF.

Your student loan only covers your tuition right, correct me if I'm wrong. If that's the case then N500k balance will not be enough to show living expenses for a year so you might need to work on that.
It's easier to show POF that will cover tuition for at least a yr and living expenses for a yr with proof that other yrs would not be a challenge than showing POF that covers your full tuition alone.

Good luck

So no layover at Amsterdam?

Transit through Addis Ababa or Dubai is safer as transit visas are not required.
If your flight has Amsterdam as a layover, contact the airline to confirm if a transit visa is required because Netherlands is a Schengen country if I'm not mistaken.

I've been looking for cheap flights to Regina and can't seem to get one. Help me pls, the ones I'm seeing are quite expensive. Can anyone refer me to a site

You're resuming in Jan and you're yet to book your flight?
If you're looking for a flight of N500k - N600k you might need to book in February. If not just jeje check out African airlines like Ethiopia airline and the likes and book.
Ensure the flight itinerary does not have layovers in any American state or Schengen country as you would need a visa to pass through.

Good day friends, sometime in 2019 I ignorantly did a Canada visa package with an agent a friend introduced to me. It was supposed to be ETA for business conference and I even did biometric in June 2019. After the biometric I never got any information again concerning the application. Whenever I call the agent he will say I should not worry that he was sure they will contact me. After like 4 months past I lost interest and I did not call the agent again and December that year COVID started. Recently I got admission for Master's program and I tried to reach the agent to at least find out details of my previous application but to my surprise he is no longer reachable, even his IG and twitter and Facebook pages no longer exist. My concern now is I don't even know if the previous application was refused or cancelled. I also don't know what he did in the previous application particularly my work profile but I'm sure my family info and öhers are correct. Please kindly advice/ assist on what to do to ensure it does not affect my student visa. God bless

If you're unable to reach the agent, I will advice you to open a new account profile on IRCC and apply for your student visa.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info. H9w about the courier service charge? I am quite confused about that one because the price is different from the transmission charge.

I understand that I would not need to pay transmission fee considering I am sending to the same vfs office where my biometrics was done.

I feel the attachment is really clear.
Courier service comes at a cost for both third party service providers and VFS. You can choose to boycott courier charges and visit the office in person like I did or pay courier service providers to do this for you.
Transmission fee to VFS is charged if you choose to send your ppt to a location you did not do your biometrics.

Hello Fam,

I have received my letter of Acceptance (LOA) from NBCC. I need help on the next steps to go. All gurus pls help. Thanks

Congratulations on your admission.

I want to believe the next step you're referring to is your study permit application. If yes, then check IRCC for the minimum requirements, add whatever document you know will aid your application and go for it.

If you have any specific questions along the way you can ask for clarification.

Good luck.

Please, I have thought about this and realized that I didn't give the whole details, so as to get proper advice.

The land that was sold was one of my fathers assets, the money to be transferred to my account is my share after it has been shared amongst my siblings and I. The money will be coming directly from my eldest brother's account to mine and I have asked him to make the narration "share from sale of property of father's property...
My concern is how to proof that there was actually a sale, so it won't look like its a show money. The documents I can get about the land is the power of attorney between the seller then and my dad. The power of attorney given to the current buyer now was between my eldest brother and the buy, my name wasn't mentioned. I am still confused on how to come up with proof...

Please help house...

Ok in that case you will need the power of attorney for the sale to the new buyer to show that the lump sum is actually from the sale of the property.
Now it's your share you are receiving so an affidavit would cover that, stating that the funds is from the sale and the amount you received is your share.

Your SOP is where you explain your decision beyond any reason for doubt so your age would not be a challenge if you do a good job with it.

Qlife and IOM are the only hospitals you can do your test so pick any one and you will be fine.

Anyone can sponsor you but ensure you can prove your relationship with the person. Note that his/her financial commitments will be considered by IRCC to confirm he/she would be able to add yours to their commitments.

Good luck
