Enlil wanted to make sure that no human will rise to power and potentially rule Nibiru. Naturally the interbreeding increased that risk and also the fact that the humans were vastly curious and increasing in knowledge.

Freethinking is not a cult or religion that you convert to. Your "already being done" scheme is to subdue people into adopting your self and clan determined "superior" religion.

A freethinker does not think he/she superior, but capable of seeing things from multiple vantage points and thereby gaining unrivaled insight into a matter. The more you seek (multi and not unidirectional), the more you shall find.

I agree some atheists and freethinkers make noise here just as much as the religionists. However, what I have been able to observe in my many years of being on this platform is that the silent ones, the ones that force you to think, without prejudice or an underlying motive to convert you, usually are the most enlightened on the matter. And would rather have you reason your way into belief or unbelief as the case may be, by asking questions and dropping hints. This way you find your own way to enlightenment, as opposed to being told what to do and what to think.

So as for shouting at the rooftops, let's evolve past worshipping the loudest vessel. We know how the saying goes

I think it is about the society, an average Nigerian don't even know what atheism means, they don't know "atheism/atheist" exist but in western countries they know well what atheism means, that's why the mother is more concern about her daughter being an atheist than her not believing in God.

Athiesm as been associated with many things, I think that's what Dawkins is taking advantage of in a debate.

Richard Dawkins in a debate said he doesn't like label, he prefer to be called non-theist, but he later decided to be label as an atheist because he want to create that seriousness in mind of his opponent.

He cited an example from a movie where a girl said to her mother she is an atheist and doesn't believe in God and the mother responded "you don't believe in God I don't mind you might be joking but an atheist, an atheist?!"

I think that that helps you relate better with others, irrespective of where you think they are.

Cos sometimes, the path of enlightenment comes with pride, and it's not healthy.

Labels are quite a nice route to that kind of pride.

I find that maintaining a state of humility, not just so people can say "Ohh, look at her, she is so brilliant and knows so much about esoteric stuff, yet she so down to earth" - in fact, that shouldn't be a motivation at all (in my opinion at least).

I think that it should come from a place of KNOWING, yet assuming the posture of a seeker, always, always.

lucky you bro. At least you started early but I started at 20 as an atheist. Wasted my teenage years reading and memorising the bible, couldn't date my dream girl because of church doctrines and being too spiritual. If only I had sat down earlier to think. All I needed was to sit down and think. It is well bro, seeing the world as it is and knowing the truth brings freedom.

I'm going to be brief and straight to the point. In case you come across spelling or grammatical error, kindly ignore

I have a girlfriend I've been dating for 2 years now. We met in school and I was 1 year more than her in school. I graduated last year and she will graduate this year. When I met her, she was a virgin and has never been exposed to sexual life. I deflowered her and ever since our love life flourished more even though there were challenges and misunderstanding along the line which is something that is bound to happen anywhere. But I sincerely love her. Even though I have another girlfriend which she knows about (the reason for the other girlfriend is an entire story on its own)... Before I finally went home last year, our frequency of sex increased to the extent that my gf was telling me that she is now addicted to sex. The day she told me that, I smiled but deep down me, I knew I was in for a trouble. So in order to test her loyalty, I seriously advised her to get another bf at home who will satisfy her urge and let me know about the guy. She seriously kicked against that then I felt elated within me that I'll be safe

So last week I visited her in school and planned on spending a week since I have friends who can accommodate me for the time, only for me to find out that she has a very close male friend who was my 2 year Junior in school then, same department. This night upon visiting her, in order to clear my doubt, I called the guy talked in length with him on how serious I am with my girlfriend, and mentally threatened him that if he betrays me he'll regret it. So he opened up to me that although they are close friends, he has only slept with her once. And then he apologized. I thanked him for being sincere. Then I went back to see my girlfriend, I demanded that she should be honest and sincere to me, she should tell me all that has happened while I was away. She still insisted that nothing happened.

I took time to narrate this and to source for advice on what I should do cos I'm into a serious relationship with her. My family are aware of us and hopefully we'll be getting married after her youth service. She is in her finals now. I feel really heartbroken and disappointed
