Gaborone:Okey dokey. Thank you |
The onion should be in the fridge for how long, @Gaborone and @Richy? |
@Okunbabe, please follow the advice of @docadams and take the baby to a teaching hospital where he can be given the right specialist care. A friend of mine suffered with an issue for many months even though he had seen a doctor, until a professor attended to him at teaching hospital. Don't make the mistake of thinking that private hospitals give better attention than government hospitals because they are more expensive. |
@op, thanks very much for bringing this here. Its been a very refreshing read for me. |
Hahahahahahaha. Its very funny that most of the posters above me did not understand the article. The article meant that the best man to date in all the world is a man who reads. @op, big ups to you. A man who reads is the best man to date marry. |
Warlord3000: ![]() ![]() Guy I tire for you ooo. Abi you get retired civil servant wey fit pay N1bn bail fee ni.On a more serious note. We have just started |
I know proshareng.com to be a legit source when it comes to business news, but how legit is this news given that the Budget and Planning minister just presented the MTEF, which makes provision for subsidy on petrol a few days ago? |
Thanks for sharing, man. Very powerful and inspiring. |
May God bless you enough and completely, Max. Very good that you know and practice this rear and true kind of love and are encouraging Nlanders to do same. Love should be for the sake of itself and not preconditioned on anything as humans do these days. |
]I feel very angry typing this. As far as I can understand from op's post. He failed to stand up for his marriage when he needed to. Op did not do anything to stop his wife from being pulled away from her marriage with him, even though he saw that that Chuks, not a pastor, was using a spell on his wife. Op did not report to his family and in-laws what was happening. Op did not involve the police where he needed to. Op did virtually nothing to save his marriage. @op, please, don't blame that 419, soothsaying boy, Chucks. You were not the man. ou I just feel sorry for your wife and thank God that that Chucks didn't tell her to poison or kill you and your children, because she could have done it. So, move on and become strong for yourself and your children. I hope you learn never to leave things to chance anymore. |
@op, nyeke. I join you to thank God for the life of your wife. God will give you double miracle next time, in Jesus name. Amen! |
moderation2020:Worldly business or heavenly business. A man that has employed and pays 4500 Nigerians on a monthly basis deserve a resounding commendation. May God bless Fr Mbaka. |
Great job, @Gaborone Of course, Daddy God deserves all the credit in the world. Daddy God, receive all my trophies |
Its good you are already staying away from him. In all, your life is more important than marriage. So don't worry yourself with divorce or no divorce. Its best that you try and condition your mind to focus on making your life better and training up your boy. I also know that God also has the power to change any man, no matter how wicked he may be. So don't stop praying about it. |
I quite agree with those who say the op should be patient and work for his brother while saving up money, as that is the only way to ensure that the relationship between him and his brother remains cordial. However, I would like to ask. How does op cope with the mental torture that will come with having to work for his brother in the waiting period? |
Thanks, Eddy. You never know how many peeps you will end up strengthening with this post. As humans, and with God's help we have the ability to work our ways out of any situation we find ourselves in, no matter how complicated they may be. |
Gaborone:Okay. Thanks |
@ifyalways. You and kpekus eeeh. Hahahahaha. But those factors you mentioned are all ancilliary to love. Aren't they? @Olasco93. How do people get it right in trying to ensure balance between the two and what do you believe a woman who age is no longer on her side should do? |
Gaborone:@Gaborone, no, you didn't bore me at all. I only tried to encourage others to comment. Sorry, if I offended you by that. I didn't mean to do so. |
Please family nairalanders come in and do justice to this thread. Don't let it turn to a chat session between @op and @Gaborone please. You will agree with me that the topic is an important one. So, EfemenaXY, Dyt, ifyalways, Kanwulia, etc, pls come in here. Thanks. |
I think love before marriage is better. Although I will not pretend to be oblivious of the fact that many opt for 'love after marriage' as a way of saving themselves from possible heartbreak, my belief remains that waiting to love one's partner after marriage maybe too much a risk to take. Many are suffering in their marriages today, because they took the plung on the wager that 'the love would grow', and to their surprise, years down the line, cupid simply refused to pay them a visit. And when the realisation comes that he may never visit, they start regarding their wedding rings the way the would handcuffs. The anchor of the programme asked those who hold this point of view, if it is right for single women who age is no longer on their side to keep waiting to marry the person they love and most of the respondents answered NO. Now can we say that a woman in this situation can not truely love her husband? |
Good day familylanders. I do hope your weekend has been splendid. I followed a programme on radio last night, and this topic was discussed extensively by both married and single people for 1hour and another 1hour by only married men and women. Here are some of the points from the programme: 1) Some of the callers argued that it is better to love someone before marrying him or her, because love makes it possible to tolerate whatever inadequacies the person might come up with later. 2) Others were of the opinion that it is better to marry someone before loving them, as removing love from the partner choosing process will help you to make clear judgements as to who the right person is without being clouded by emotions. 3) A particular man explained that what obtains between couples prior to marriage is "likeness" and not love, as much of that "love" is circumstantial, being based on the attributes, characters, and "haves" of the person. He maintained that it is only in marriage proper that true love is showed and it grows with time. It is worthy of note that those who argued for love before marriage pointed out that they cannot marry someone they do not prelove, if you will. While those in favour of love after marriage said, many of the cases of divorce we have these days, especially among educated people is as a result of love before marriage, with a particular man saying that his marriage collapsed after 18 days because he was blinded by love before marriage. Others told their own stories to buttress their points. So what is your take house? Lets talk. |
You are so on poin,t boss. That number 2 is actually funny. Unfortunately, to know all these, takes years of learning and making mistakes, thereby becoming very experienced in trading. I would like to add that, every newbie coming into forex must adapt the mindset that forex is a normal but risky business, which requires that you gain the experience first, through learning and practicing, before becoming successful in the long term. Also, the single most important aspect of trading that every trader should master, above any other, is Money/Risk Management. |
Lessons all through the story. Unfortunately, my relationship is going through this terrible phase at the moment. I hope we make it through this together. |

Kelvindwaplord: What's all this?? I'm talking something serious here somepeople are making a joke out of it.. Tell me , what's funny in a plane crash?? Honestly speaking this forum is filled with silly people who dunno when to joke or not. Will soon consider quitting coz am not gaining anything here!@op, sorry for the kind of dumb responses you‘ ve been getting. It happens at times. Obviously, your dreams point to something ominous that is about to happen and the fact that it is sure to happen is responsible for the repitition of the dream. That is, God is revealing to you that something very terrible is about to happen. It might or might not be plane crash around your house. My advice is that you tell your parents so that the whole family will fast and ask God to intervene and avert it. You might also need to see your pastor. May God help you. |
What town or city are you in? |
NO!!!!!! Marriage is something young people don‘t appreciate how complex it is. An 18yr old who is still a boy should not be burdened or burden himself with the responsibilities that come with marriage. If you insist on marrying him you must wait until he is at least 25 by which time you will be 33( if you fancy that) but, even at that it is still daisy. You also suggested that you intend to carry the family by yourself. Again, this is a tactic by women that backfires most of the time. |
