Your understanding of the word "screening" is flawed. And you are confused. I stand by my word. A university based on her carrying capacity, cut off points for each course, merit, educational disadvantage and others factors selects the candidates from JAMB successful candidates list sent to the university and revert back to JAMB to issue admission letter to the selected candidates.

This is the point where the screening would commence. Ensuring that the candidates with admission letter from JAMB meet the criteria of 5 credits, not more than two sitting, in required subjects combination, mental stability, potentially good character, observed through a physical interactive session like interview, etc. If at this, the candidate fails the screening, the university will find another person from JAMB, and so on. In your mind, the first process of picking the candidates is the screening. No! please.

Your thoughts is just like the university who in spite of knowing their admission carrying capacity, yet goes ahead demanding that every one that scores 180 even for a course like Medicine that had failed abnitio, should go to their online portal to fill form and pay money. It's simply extortion and wickedness.

I support the Government stand on this clarification please.

Hehehe, there are some job vacancies that keeps reoccurring especially those embassies and UN agencies. I have been avoiding them. Make I no waste time and data. Sincerely, I feel those vacancies are filled internally, advertising the vacancies are mere modalities.

I have same thoughts too. But why do they repeat the advertisements for same position over and over. Could it be they didn't get the right candidates from their shortlist? I don't think this is good enough considering the high rate of examination malpractices in O'Level exams. If you happen to mark WAEC/NECO scripts, you'd know most secondary school students, don't own their results they cheated.

That apart, using UNILORIN or UNILAG who get close to, if not more than, 90,000 applicants a year with just a meagre 7,000 available admission slots, if the points grading system was adopted and let's say 45,000 qualified. What would the FG do to the other remaining 38,000 successful applicants.

Post UTME is by far the most credible exam right now.

Besides, why is it so hard to pay for post utme? The same people who will spend lavishly on Aso Ebi, Owanbe, Sallah, Alcohols, clubbing and other frivolities should be able to spend on education without complaints

Rubbish. Then they raise the cut off points higher. Can't candidates also pass the post utme that way if it were a fair system? Why support a system that deliberately fails students as better. Putme is a nightmare. And if U prefer that why have U entered university before now since the way U analysed it, you must have written it at least once, but failed.
