I need some one to help me on this issue:
I was in a Church somewhere as a visitor, and the pastor was preaching on the Holy Communion which the scripture tagged the "Lord's Supper" he said. Now, he said being tagged the Lord's Supper means, it can only be administered or taken as from evening, precisely he mentioned as from 6pm and that anywhere it is taken in the morning, afternoon or any other time before supper time, believers should run away from such Church. To this I disagree. Yes I agree that in the Bible it was referred to as the Lord's Supper during his last moments with His disciples as the last supper and due to the timing of the persecution that was to start that night with Judas is cariot executing the betrayal plot. Was there anything anywhere to suggest that the holy communion must be taken at supper time only? The bible says as often as thou taketh it, you show the memory of the lord's death and rightly admonished that we should do it often. Why should emphasis be made on supper time by this pastor as the only time it should be taken. I need responses and contributions to clear any doubts raised by this opinion please. Thanks.

Somehow I wonder why people who don't know or have a good idea about a subject would not keep quiet, instead of confusing the poster who seeks to know the right thing.

They are certainly not the same. A cover is normally a defence, a bold and daring letter saying you are the best fit, that addresses the requirements expected, like ur qualifications, skills and experiences for the job position U are applying. It states some aspects of ur cv but not everything, and must be done on a single page.

The Application letter as the name implies, is ur statement of interest for the job or the vacancy as advertised. It is also used to convey or present ur cover letter and cv to the recipient HR Mgr as the case may be.

Now the confusion is however that when U are submitting the application by email, the Application letter ought to be like ur email cover again, while U still attach the Application letter, the cover letter and the cv to the email. This is because it's only the attachments that will be printed, not ur email cover letter. If this is not done, U will have no application letter at the end, but only cover letter and cv

The essence of the email cover letter is for sorting the applications as it must also state the position with its reference nos or tags.

Therefore cover letters cannot be the same for every position except the requirements for each vacancy are the same. And so writing samples here is just not something I wish to do since one model will not be enough for the learners here.

Really, what is this fashionista saying? Yes that I didn't have all that time to correct the errors, doesn't mean I can't say the obvious noticeable errors there. It's funny that people like the poster of that application, even though it was posted 10 years ago who to me has a lot of inadequacies in writing essay and particularly an Application letter could boldly come on a forum like this to display his writing prowess which is far below average.

It would have been humble enough to ask for help or be guided rather than putting a half baked or a poorly written application as a model for others, and in the process attracting all manner of responses from people that includes those ignorant than him and who woul have thought they have gotten a model to follow. A blind man leading a blind man, will they not both fall into a ditch?

There is so much to correct in that application and please permit me to let it go for now, just as Jarus (whom i have so much respect for) also has responded to. The total presentation is wrong, apart from the spelling errors. The usage of the word, "extreme" is uncalled for, in his attempt to show his likeness for the position. Again, there are so many 'I this or that' in that application which shows arrogance or too much to self and an unnecessary glorification. Imagine claiming 'rapid promotion' by his previous employees, too boastful and full of pride. For crying out loud he attached a curriculum vitae to the application which ordinarily has the details of his past and other things. He demanded the company to call his phone line, uhuhhh, No!, Nevertheless that he used 'Kindly'.

Having titled the application for the post, why stating it again in the first line of the first paragraph,.....

A normal first paragraph of an application ought to be direct and formal, an example could be:

With reference to the advert placement (or replace with "advertisement) of 19th April, 2016 in the Guardian Newspaper regarding the above subject, I hereby apply for the position. This is very formal, this removes all the likes of 'extreme', 'interest', etc.

You don't decide for yourself that your qualifications, skills, etc are perfect fit for the position, you are meant to submit for them to make that consideration. Again it shows a person who is full of pride.

Please, note that my correction is not only on the original poster, but also on others "I too know" contributions that are also full of blunders. I have taken all together in this piece. I beg you, let me rest here for now.

Op rather than updating us with her health status, you are researching into her past life by posting her old pictures. She may not have had all the two kids even at this age, and you posted them as if they are fresh pictures.

This lady was shown on hospital bed even here on Nairaland not too long and everybody was sympathetic about her condition which looked serious. We should be praying for her quick recovery rather than admiring her bum shorts.

I don't get it, for those defending HONDA, is it the only car that the owners have poor maintenance cultures? Or is it the only car that the parts can be easily faked? Abegi, it's a honda problem, either poor construction or inability to find a perfect fit. Yes, Honda cars are sleek with good shock absorbers, etc, but this ball joint problem is a major setback. I hate the car for this problem, it does not give signs sometimes. So disappointing, you have an appointment to keep and as you are about to make a turn from a pot hole, it just park you at the middle of the road, oh no!, not again. I don't see other cars do this, and even if they do, it's not all the time as a denominator which Honda holds constant. My little piece.
