I think that is beyond me. A lawyer might be in a better position to know the implications. 55emem55: SOS!! I'm asking this question on behalf of a close friend. So he had a name change recently, but I think he didn't do it the right way.
So let's say his initial name was Ali Baba Chukwu (Chukwu is his surname). He wanted to change his surname to his Father's first name, but he went ahead to add his 3rd name. He now changed it to Ali Baba Dante Edward (court affidavit & publication done already), instead of Ali Baba Edward (tbh I don't know who sent him to add a 3rd name)
Now, he wants to make the correction and I've been racking my head on the best way to approach this. That's why I brought it here.
Can he just go to court and do an affidavit again to reflect the name he wants? Which would now be his former name when he writes the affidavit and does the publication?

She should use her current passport with her maiden name. archer7: Hello house, I have been following this thread occasionally but finally ready to make the move. My wife is going to be the primary applicant based on CRS scores however we need clarity on the following:
Her current passport with her maiden name expires in 2021, will it be wise to start EE profile with it or better for her to get a new passport showing her marital status with new name before we start the EE profile?
Thank you. |

Eeyah. 1. Pray and hope the score comes down. I will pray and hope with you. 2. I don't know if it is still practical for hubby to do ielts against May, but I think he should prepare at least for after. 440 is better than 436. 3. You might need to start exploring options. French or PNP. What is your CRS? Alberta or Ontario may call. Youtook: People of God, please help a sister. I'll be 36 by May ending. With our IELTS results, our CRS sits at 441. Even if hubby rewrites, we'll be at 445 & by my birthday, we'll be down at 440. I don't even know what to do again o! My head is just turningoninown. I need suggestions please. Thank you. |

I'm assuming her experience is not Canadian experience. If not, remove her work history and add it only to the personal history. Itzchord: Please @ all the savvy elders, I have a daunting issue. I am the primary applicant for EE and we just recently got an ITA; however, the problem is that my wife's NOC was mistakenly filled as Admin assistant instead of Admin officer when we entered the pool. Please can I still change it or just go ahead with the assistant thingy? |

My suggestion: 1. Get married since you are already committed. 2. Go as spouse accompanying. Spouse accompanying or unaccompanying you must provide POF for 2. 3. Wait with the 449 or let her do ielts. Your application will be simpler that way. 4. By the time you are through with ielts, eca, ita, aor, ppr wait, ppr and copr, she should be through with her degree since she is already in final year. 5. In case she is not through with her studies and/or she wants to serve, she can do a soft landing and come back to Nigeria to complete her studies/NYSC. Bonne chance. ambo1: Thanks guys for your prompt response, may God continue to bless you guys. I have really gained alot from your contributions. Another question is what if after marriage I do not want her to accompany me immediately because she's still in school, do I have to provide POF for 2 people? Secondly can you guys add me to a group for express entry. Thanks and a happy easter to u guys. |

2014 - 2017 Proprietor (part-time) XYZ Inc. 2017 - 2019 Proprietor XYZ Inc Add a LOE to explain the transition just as you did here. ayotami: Hello all, While I was in paid employment in a regulated profession from 2014 to 2017 (which I have claimed points for), I had a side business as the MD/CEO in the same profession although using someone's license. When business picked up I resigned and faced my side business in the capacity of MD/CEO/additional duty. This technically means i was only the owner from inception till date while I was in full time employment somewhere. My question is that do I breakdown my duty in personal history as 2015 to date (MD/CEO) and 2017 to (MD/CEO/ADDITIONAL DUTY).
I hope I'm making sense. Thanks in anticipation. |

Somebody obviously believes it takes serious skills and training to become barbers and hairstylists. They even have Red Seal certification. The same somebody believes any Tom, Dick and Harry fresh out of high school can be a customer service rep. majamisile: The person that compiled this NOC checklist is just a piece of work o. I just got to realize barbers and hairstylist belong to NOC B whereas Customer Service Representatives belong to class C. I am just thinking out loud and wondering the rationale behind this. |

That sucks. Options are 2: appeal or redo. Appeal: You need an immigration lawyer, some dough, and it will take time, possibly the same time as a new application or longer. Redo: Confirm the right NOC and restart unless age difference has caused your points to drop below cutoff. seunfoster: Dear All,
I writing this draft to solicit for your advise/help with regards to my application. My application was rejected on the 18th of April 2019 for a reason which I raised CSE on 5 days prior to the day of rejection. The issue is related to mistake on NOC number. Instead of me picking 1212, I picked 1112. This was noticed after 10 months of waiting for PPR via GCMS notes. I would like to hear from everyone on the best way to contest this decision as I am seriously bothered and I can tell my wife yet because we have sacrificed a lot for this application. Thank you in anticipation of your responses. |

Hi, Planning for Canada basically offers "preparation for life in Canada" services. This consists of the GO and the MAP sessions. The minimum eligibility document is the BIL. Based on your MAP session, you will be referred to other pre-arrival organizations for work and settlement assistance. However, most other pre-arrival organizations (especially those getting the bulk of their funding from IRCC) will not accept anything less than PPR. Others will. PfC/CIIP have discharged their duty to you. Did you inform ACCESS that you were referred from PfC/CIIP? I was referred to Canada InfoNet. They also had those requirements on their site. I sent a mail before registering that I was referred from PfC/CIIP and had only my BIL. I was asked proceed with my registration. If it still doesn't work out, just face your MAP till PPR. The work required on the MAP document no be here. I have done only like 5% out of it. pejuhazel: Good morning everyone, please I need information from people who are receiving or have received pre-arrival services. So I signed up for planning for Canada with my biometric letter, after my MAP session I was referred to ACCESS employment and they requested for Copy of Permanent Resident card,Copy of Confirmation of Permanent Residence or Copy of Permanent Resident visa, or A passport request letter that indicates Permanent Resident visa issuance, or A Permanent Resident Visa pick up notification letter. None of which I have as my application is still in progress, I told them and my pre-arrival services have been suspended until I get any of the above mentioned. My question is how were you guys able to proceed with their services before getting your PPR. cc. @Ifeoma.77, @joo2018 any one else who can help |

You can include it both in education and personal history if you want. You will tick "current" or "ongoing". For my spouse' ongoing degree, I included the admission letter as proof in eAPR. Teamo2: Do I need to add my ongoing doctorate degree to my education history even though I did not evaluate it?
I only evaluated my Masters and I don’t know if not putting it in my education history will count as misrepresentation. |
