To download the IMM forms, make sure your computer has at least Adobe 10 or DC installed.

Asapant:
Good evening all. I find it difficult to print the IMM forms from CIC website, Can I get the IMM forms at VFS and fill it there ?

I am doing paper route

Calculate your eligibility first. Check page 1.

AnaPa19:
Hi folks,

Should a secondary applicant evaluate his Secondary School qualification (High School)? That's his highest educational qualification but with 11 years work experience.
Will it make any difference? (crs tool gave only 2 points. Lol)

Thanks in anticipation.

1. Results are mixed. You might get BSc ECA or Two or more certificates. Be hopeful and try it.

2. If either or both of the banking or self employed jobs fits NOC 0, A or B, you can use either or both for your EE profile.

realdon:
Hello wonderful people. Please advise me on the following issues:
1, How would they classify my qualification if I have OND in Accountancy and later got BSc in Business Administration through direct entry?
2, Also, I stopped working with the bank about five years ago after which I've been self employed with a small gas station; I sell gas accessories and cookers in the small company. What should I fill as working experience?
3, I'm registered for ACCA and have got exemptions for 9 papers. My area of experience covers finance, accounting and business.

It can follow the normal bank reference letter format.

TemiGee:
Hello E-Fam,

Please I will like to inquire about using savings from Cooperative Society as POF. I think I have read something about that on this thread before, but I can't figure out where and when it was stated. I would like to know the format of the letter if this can be used.

I'll appreciate anyone’s contributions regarding this please.

Thanks kiss

The diploma and Bsc might be easier since you got them from the same school. Your waka will be easier.

Msadesina:
Good day everyone

Please i need advice on which of my qualifications to evaluate to give me better points

I have a diploma which is a two year program, also a Bsc and then completed ACCA. I understand its two certificates or more if you have no masters.

The diploma and bsc are from same school, which will be better please

Mm.

Your no 4 is a concern. If school certificate is his highest degree, he should confirm his eligibility before starting the process. Check page 1 for how to calculate eligibility.

PopularGingo:
I’m asking on behalf of my boyfriend, he wants to apply for express entry. He’s self employed, business registered since 2013. My question is this:

1. What will be his NOC code- He draws sketches & design on computer then give instructions to tailors to sew them. He also brands clothes and caps with pictures and designs. He makes clothings on special order.
He thinks his NOC should be http://noc.esdc.gc.ca/English/noc/Profile.aspx?val=4&val1=5243&ver=16
Or something graphics related. 5241

2. Most of his payment was either cash or paid into his personal account. Will showing his personal bank statement be good enough evidence since no business account?

3. How will he show hours of self employment equivalent to the 30hrs a week full time requirement?

4. He’s submitting neco because thats what he has, what’s the procedure for sending neco?
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by joo2018(op):
Hmm.

Confirm here and here.

I actually wrote easier not easy. Easier compared with RCMP. For both Ontario Provincial Police and Toronto Police Service, there are no residency requirements.

MummyJaygirls:
Are u sure about the bolded?

Ontario's requirements are easier but have u seen anyone join easily?
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by joo2018(op):
Depends on your province.

Apart from Ontario and Quebec, most provinces, territories and municipalities use RCMP as their police force. To join RCMP, you must have lived in Canada for the past ten years in addition to being a citizen or PR (see here).

Ontario's requirements are easier, check Ontario Provincial Police's site (here) or your intended municipality's police force site.

Folafikemi:
Me I want to to join the police in my province o. How do I go about that... Pls don't consider my question as been funny or silly I just need a direction...

Aunts can be counted for selection factor though not CRS. Check page 1 for how to calculate eligibility. If you still score 67 without your aunt, then you are safe.

Since you have raised a CSE, you should otherwise be ok.

godfollows:
During the EAPR....I listed that I have an Aunty in Canada and placeholder appeared.we tried getting her documents which we could not and application was submitted without it and it was missed out in LOE...While trying to review, noticed that we missed the explanation..No points were earned for MEP (67/100) and EE.raised cse for this and explained accordingly
Is there any need to be worried?

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by joo2018(op): 8:41pm On Apr 09, 2019
3 options.

1. You change him to accompany. However, you CRS score will be recalculated and if below cut-off for the draw, that is refusal.

2. After you land, you sponsor him. You must have patience as it is a long route.

3. He can apply for EE by him if he is eligible.

omoluabiade:
So if spouse is selected as non accompanying ATM, we can later go ahead to apply for his PR say months or years down the line? Do you know anyone who has gone down this route?

Between if applying with spouse, must spouse write ielts and evaluate certificates If not the PA?

Sis, you should be the one advising us nah.

IMO,

For the hubby, the description you gave is a bit broad and doesn't give something specific in terms of the work he would like to do. Or is he open to any (most) things? I think the kind of job the hubby is thinking of will help.

For the wife, I don't know about licensure speed, but in terms of employment, see this:
"Location, location, location. Big cities like Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal are often the most attractive areas to new immigrants because they are globally known metropolises. But that doesn’t mean that they offer the most opportunities, especially for international nurses. The more isolated (and often, more Northern) a community, the more likely that they are in dire need of RNs.(link))

I would cross out Vancouver from the list because it appears to be too expensive.

vickyehi:
hello fam!
my personal person is trying to move to Canada and we are currently trying to decide on the province and state for him to settle.

little history:
-he is a recent masters degree holder in something on govt policies(cant remember exact name) from the states.
-into music and soccer professionally.
-professional field (academically) is public Administration

anyways we are looking for a province that would sought of balance these things. His partner is a Registered nurse so we are also considering a province where it would be easy for her to also integrate in terms of licensure speed.

our options are;
-Vancouver, BC
-Calgary, AB
-Ontario
-Manitoba
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by joo2018(op):
Hi, Those forms are for first time permanent residents (plus returning and seasonal residents).

You will however be given a Declaration Card to list items you are bringing.

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/e311-eng.html

"As a visitor, you can bring certain goods into Canada for your own use as personal baggage. Personal baggage includes clothing, camping and sports equipment, cameras and personal computers. This also includes your mode of transportation, including vehicles, private boats and aircraft."

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-voyage/ivc-rnc-eng.html
http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/dm-md/d2/d2-1-1-eng.html

To compliment this, however, according to another forum:
"However, reports on the British Expats forum indicate that the rules are applied differently by different customs officers at different ports of entry.

Some temporary work permit holders entering Canada have found that they have been asked to complete personal effects forms at their ports of entry.

So, even if you will be coming to Canada on a temporary work permit or study permit, you may want to take the precaution of creating lists of the goods you will be importing and jotting down the values of those goods in Canadian dollars, as new settlers (permanent residents) should do."
britishexpats(dot)com/wiki/Goods_To_Follow-Canada (replace the (dot) with .). The thread's spambot can be funny.

Godatwork23:
Those of us on student visa, do we need to also prepare the goods to follow and goods accompanying lists?
If yes please can someone help with his or her format
Thanks

Hmm.

Please expatiate. Which kind of job offer did you get and what kind of visa are you applying for?

EmmaGeneral:
Good evening house. I just got a job offer in Nigeria from a company in Canada. My company will be responsible for my travel expenses except that I'll be paying for the Visa. TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by joo2018(op): 6:21pm On Apr 09, 2019
I don't think so. You will need to meet your goods at the port of entry and present your documents to customs.

subuolaba:
Dear all,

Please does anyone know if one can cargo goods to follow to a direct address in canny instead of having to pick up at the airport. Would appreciate any information and contact details (if any) in this regard. Thank you.

Boss, I find the bolded intriguing considering the number of years you must have spent in Canada. It appears there might be truth in the saying that the province you land defines you.

salford1:
I have never been to Ontario, but i heard Brampton is to Ontario, what Peckham is to London. How come you can't find naija people lol. Maybe you are looking in the wrong places.
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by joo2018(op): 5:47pm On Apr 09, 2019
If you are not working with a limited budget, try Toronto. If you are constrained by budget, try towns in the GTA or slightly outside.

Use google maps to identify cities and use to search on Airbnb and booking.com.

PS: posting a google map link in reply to your post got me banned yesterday.

Ij1000:
Kindly assist, my family and I are considering landing in May, however I plan to leave with the kids after 2weeks while my hubby stays back, we wd return before the end of the year. I am currently searching for a short stay apartment in Ontario can someone pls advise cos the locations are quite confusing on Airbnb and booking.com. Because it is a short stay I don’t have a particular preference. Also, I am hoping since my hubby is on ground he can pick up our PR card and find a way to get it across to us before our final landing. I hope this works? Please advise.

2. I believe so. I filled in my academic qualifications (including the ones I did not do ECA for) pre-ITA.

3. What is applicable to is also applicable to your spouse.

Adunnee:
Hi Seniors, I have a few questions- (Post ITA, filling out forms):

1. If one of my parents had a child out of wedlock, that makes the child my half sibling right? How about if my parent was not married to the child's parent, does that make the child's parent my step parent?
2. Do I need to fill in my academic and professional certificates that I did not do ECA for, in the education history?
3. If the answers to the questions in number (1) are "yes", does this apply to my spouse too?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by joo2018(op): 7:48am On Apr 06, 2019
I think it can fly. It all depends on how you back it all up.

xtosync:
Yeah. Thanks guys for the assistance. 2282 kinda fits into my early day running the biz (2008 - 2012). More recently (2013 - date) 0651 or 0621 or 1211 fits somehow into my current status. I am still undecided yet.

I don't know if it is right using two NOC codes on a self employment.

I don't understand the technology the online compressors use.

I do know however that when I reduced the DPI, the document was not clear. When I used online compressor, it reduced the size and was still as clear as the original.

Upton:
I thought pdf compressor reduces the dpi and file size?
