ronald4lif: All these just to demoralise her and compel her to bow out of the contest or what exactly is the noise for? It's her candidature a threat to anyone? I wouldn't say that bro, for me, as a literati I believe she should have just apologized and let things be. For I know I wouldn't be smiling if it was me she plagiarized, any literati will frown at any form of plagiarism. |

naijaboiy: No mind naira landers and "pull him(her)down" syndrome.
I speak for myself and no other. She should have just apologized and since she did break a nairaland rule, she should be banned, simple. |

Okikiki: NO hard feelings.
Could you pls break it down?
Let the fact speak for itself.
However, count me out from gutter language. Which fact? The fact that ivyy said her moniker was coined from poisonivy from the batman series. That alone was she giving reference bro. That's why I said your post is lame. |

Laveda: The thread was locked already when she wanted replying.. I'm sure it isn't a must she answers every question thrown at her. Yea it isn't a must, but shows she's just... but your excuse is lame though. |

Okikiki: The same Nairaland kept a blind eye to the source of her moniker coinage without banning her for plagiarism or whatever rule 9
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
I Can't stop laughing. Excuse me? This is among the lamest sh1t I've heard this year. |

naijaboiy: Lol! If they say they don't know their opponents will use it against them.
You know this. That's why they are desperate to try to answer every question thrown at them, even the ones they can't relate to.
I won't blame them. But we should use common sense in questioning them and if they don't answer we leave them alone.
The highest we can do is to not vote for them when the time comes. True that! I've not lampooned lanicky for not answering my question, have I? And for those who open their mouth to taunt the contestants, if they say, "they don't know". The same question should be thrown at them, let's see if they can answer. As most of them are just pig headed anyway. Lol. |

Creamish: A member of her team admitted to being the original author and he said he gave her his consent. Isn't that enough? Maybe what you need to do is investigate the author of that piece if u rily want to see this thing till the end...otherwise just let it slide..
Take it easy Joe.. LMAO! It isn't enough. If that member is the original author, by all means, he should post link to where he first made that comment. Not give us word of mouth. This is evidence dear, something many people here are very alien to!. But still, if you're telling me to let it slide, as you being my Green Kryptonite, I will. So, is that an order? |

tosyne2much: I think I will answer your question. First and foremost, no one is trying to encourage other contestants to practise plagiarism. However, there were no laid down rules as regards the interview, therefore, what she did was not a ground to disqualify her.
The purpose of the interview was to introduce them to us and perhaps, increase their fan base
It would make a lot of sense if you clamour we make an interview code of conducts every contestant must abide with, and anyone who fails to adhere will be disqualified
I hope I'm making sense? There is a laid down rule toysne, and its rule 9 something we've been frowning on in the Literature section. |

JeffreyJamez: Just like me asking you a question related to PHP, MySql and Database Security ... That's the thing, you say you don't know. If you had asked me that question, I would have told you, "I don't know". Simple. Not pretend to know and plagiarize. Gosh!. I even asked ivy and lanicky questions base on their field of study, and lanicky didn't answer... Cc: naijaboiy |

Creamish: Guys... D organizers have spoken. Ivyy will not be disqualified cos it wasn't an answer to an official question.
Can we pls drop this now? Geeezzz! Yes, be that as it may. She did break a Nairaland rule, which is rule 9 and thus, it warrants her a very good ban. You should know the Miss Nairaland rule doesn't surpass Nairaland rule itself. No sentiment. Cc: Seun Mynd44 Dygeasy |

Speakdatruth: u are evil u have bin misleading everyone wit ur rants since yesterday, u don't deserve a conversation bro Pardon me, how do you define 'evil'? By what pedigree do you use to define it? And are you in any position to speak on what's evil and what's not? Answers bro, answers... Wouldn't expect one from you though, as you play to sentiment. |

EzePromoe: I'll be glad to see proof that she laid claim to the said article. Just stop the controversy already. Hello, did she not post it by herself, and for herself? Why on earth do you think Nairaland's Disclaimer reads: Every Nairaland member is solely responsible for what he or she post on Nairaland. As long as the post was posted by her moniker, then it emanate(d) from her. Simple. Or do you want you don't lay claim to what you post here?. Dude please... Stop! |

Speakdatruth: I think there's nothing like plagiarism when sharing d same opinion with someone on a matter, if it was spoken n not typed who will point it out? n if d sponsors of dis mischief succeeded in kicking a strong contestant out then it's unfortunate how we got this far In this case, was the opinion spoken, or written? |

Monalisa185: good morning.. With all due respect, that wasn't plagiarism...
If you take your time to go through the interview thread, you will see for yourself.. I think these people stressing the whole thing see the contestant in question as a threat, both in beauty and intelligence, she's in no way my candidate, but I think things should be thought through before being put into action...
Have a nice day! Tell me, what do you understand by plagiarism? I besiege thee with this question, because from what you wrote up there, you have absolutely no idea, what it is, or what it entails. |
