[color=#DC143C]I don't know why this issue is being over flogged. Last time I checked, Ivyy didn't answer just one question, she answered other questions intelligently as well. I don't see any wrong in borrowing ideas to add substance to your post. What exactly do you call plagiarism? A three line comment? You guys should just grow up. I don't see anything so spectacular or captivating about the said borrowed line that will warrant this noise. Anybody can come up with that without having to do much brainstorming, and it becomes what it should be called. Coincidence?

Meanwhile, join us by 5:45pm to get the best of the mystic lady.

Remember, it's MYSTICGAL for Miss Nairaland.

Dude please keep mute for pete's sake. You don't see anything wrong when people borrow ideas to substantiate their claim without giving proper credit to whoever they borrowed that idea from? This reeks of mega nonsense!!!.

Sorry but are you a lawyer/legal luminary? That last paragraph reeked of either ignorance or calculated deception...I really hope it is the latter.

Don't u know that I can post an article on NAIRALAND and Automatically it becomes intellectual property...my intellectual property? ISBN/ISSN/ISMN are mostly used for commercialised works.
The funniest part is where u claimed it's debatable as to who owned the article...unless the email acct of the naij.com contributor to the article is owned by the IVVY then it's plagiarism.

"Your word against mine IS ONLY RELATED TO ISSUES WITH NO TANGIBLE EVIDENCE EXCEPT WORDS . I.e a sexual harassment case (e.g a student claims her lecturer threatened to fail her if she didn't sleep with him)

The ababio /boyle example u stated was vague because u didn't mention that CREDITS. Have to be given ababio if any original line of the publication is used.

Did the contestant 'reference' the naij.com article when she posted it? If NO then it's plagiarism. #Case closed#

P.s: I dated too many law students to not know B.S when I see it.
Thank you for this. I had to restrain myself from quoting that moniker because, as soon as I saw that he used Ababio. I automatically believed the person you quoted is still writing WAEC. LOL.

This is exactly what I was trying to arrive at. Devaluation does not always cause inflation. When you devalue, it is to make your currency appealing to "foreign investors" and improve your exports thereby creating liquidity in the system, FX earnings and more customer spending which would invariably lead to an improve economy with less inflation figures.

We couldn't devalue the naira before because of our import apetite hence CBN ban on those 41 items from sourcing forex.

Anyways, you try with your textbook definition. wink

Seen, and noted. But really, all these theories wouldn't work in Nigeria, as there have never been a time it worked.

Inflation is the continuous rise in the price of goods and services. The inflation we are experiencing in the country was not caused by devaluation rather it was caused by other factors that causes inflation which are many.
Nigeria is experiencing a galloping inflation and it has nothing to do with devaluation, but with devaluation, inflation will increase at a higher percentage.
And the masses will continue to pay more. This is why I always opt for a Chairman Mao Tse Tung revolutionary manifestation, in Nigeria.

Technically, there had been no devaluation until today, but Inflation has been on a steady rise Quarter on Quarter (13.7% vs 15.6% now), so how do you correlate your last statement?
Do you really believe de valuing the Naira will help curb this economic hardship?
