First of all, we could all live without poetry. We would be turned into robots without entertainment and we would state everything literally........just like the people in the movie "Equilibrium".

But without science, we would live shorter lives, we would be ignorant and we wouldn't have a lot of gadgets that we have now. Including the internet/nairaland on which you are defending Laykorn.

I'd pick being a robot over halving my life and being ignorant. Both science and poetry are important but science takes the cake

Firstly: You call that living? Living like robots instead of human beings? Am astound someone like you would even refer living like robot. And just how did the people in 'Equilibrium' fared! I'll have you know something: without art, we'll be devoid of our emotions thus revealing the beast in us. Why do you think during the Stone Age all what men did was fighting War and raping and looting?.

Secondly: I really don't believe science has made our life longer, what is the life expectancy of an average man? Talkless of a Nigerian? If science was all that human would life forever. Even with science, the world population still grow everyday and people still die everyday. The internet doesn't quick cut!. Even modern medicine can't give longevity!. Our forefathers live more years on this Earth than us, and they didn't have science.

I believe you made it clear from all what you said above that you'll prefer life in the Matrix than life in the real world. If you say "science take the cake" its your opinion" for me I refer all! No one is more important than the other. Anyway who am I to mess with your opinion?.

It's not a Nigerian thing; that's how voters all over the world choose who to vote for. People make most decisions based on their feelings.

Funny thing is GEJ use this (feelings) to secure his sit in Aso Rock. He's "I had no shoe" and "I was poor like you" did the job. A pity such petty tricks won't work this time around!.

You all should know our personal opinion is never standard fact! Its just what it is, our opinion. It has no empirical backing whatsoever. Instead of saying he wrote rubbish, just take it as his opinion.

The Nigeran Army has good reputation abroad, in terms of bravery and the likes, but the Boko Haram menace has expose a whole lot of things.... I mean we soldiers rebelling against their C.O and stuff like that.

It is such a shame that the Army has been politicized!. Also CNN should apologize to Nigeria because this same Nigeran Army performed excellently during foreign peace keeping mission.

I believe every field of study is important and has a specific role to play in our everyday lives. To me its all about balance, for without balance, chaos is bound to ensue.

Laykorn if you watch movies try and watch 'The Philosophers'. You'll understand and get deep insight about why having different field of study is so important!.

1. Why didn't he visit when the Chibok girls where kidnapped?.

2. Why didn't he visit when Baga was attacked?.

3. Why didn't he visit when suicide bombers where bombing innocent Nigerians?.

4. Why didn't he visit When Boko Haram stormed a village and abducted men and women?.

5. Why didn't he visit and praise the farmers who went ahead to challenge Boko Haram and rescue the abducted people?.

Any sensible Nigeria will see through the wiles of GEJ!. The guy isn't smart at all!.

I believe most of the opinions of these celebrities is influenced by one thing: 'religion' the opiate of the masses as said by Karl Marx.

The opinions and thoughts of many Nigerian is guided by the dogmatic teachings of religion.

My take on this, be it pre marital or post marital, sex is awesome and one should have it often when one is of age. Plain and simple. Anybody who feels otherwise, that's their own cup of tea, for me I choose to engage in it as often as I can. Period!.
