EggovinMma:

If there's something that gives me joy in life, it when I help in in my little way. Givers absolutely never lack.Life is beautiful when we help those around us . Sometimes I always winder what it will be like to have millions in my account, I may not even be happy, There remains a void in my heart when I see people living in abject poverty.
I have a true story to tell. I happened to meet a young girl if about 12 while in school. I came home from lectures to see her moving around my hostel. I asked why she was there and she told me she needed to see one of my hostel mates who obviously is not around. From the disappointment on her face, I asked her if everything was fine. She narrated to me a story about how hungry her family was, and the fact that her mom sent her out to borrow money from my mate. I asked her to take me to her mother. It was an uncompleted building and I didn't know how somebody can live in that kind of place with grasses everywhere. I feared for snake bites as I approached the mother.I gave her quite a fairly good sum and told her not to return it . The way she thanked me sent a deep knife down my spine.I wish she never did, it made it even unbearable because it broke my heart even more As I was leaving the compound in a haste for fear of snakes, a iron rod dragged my leg, almost ripping off the last toe on my left feet. This woman and her daughter didn't know what to do, at some point, I noticed they were begin to feel bad, I had to hide the deep pains I was feeling. The blood trailed me back to the hostel. It was a deep wound and so I had to visit the hospital to take injections and dressings of course. For over a month, I limped. But I have no regrets. When i look at the scar on my last toe, I remember that sometimes we may get in trouble for trying to help somebody, but we must also remember that it's pays to have a beautiful mind, it soothes the soul.
"Slow Dance More"
Grady johnson was a common man Four children and some bottom land Early to bed he said well that ain't me I gotta spend some time with my family
Left to it's own device may becomes june But children grow up all too soon
So love your neighbor as yourself Don't use money to measure wealth Trust in God but lock your door Buy low sell high and slow dance more
Mama johnson was grady's wife She bore his children and she graced his life Hand in hand and side by side They worked hard to simplify
Some folks have and some have not What really counts is what you do with what you've got
So love your neighbor as yourself Don't use money to measure wealth Trust in God but lock your door Buy low sell high and slow dance more
And more I think I understan What my father's father meant When he said son what matters most You can count on just one hand
So love your neighbor as yourself Don't use money to measure wealth Trust in God but lock your door Buy low sell high and slow dance more
Buy low sell high and slow dance more

I think FCT Nairalanders should come together this Xmas to do something for the less privileged. The word "beauty" should be reserved for people with your kind of heart ONLY. The world will be a better place if we all help the less privileged in our own little way. Nothing is too small for somebody in need. |

realborn: In a very sane country, the media will be all over the plane at least for 3 days, carrying out fact finding investigations on the cause, speaking to industry experts, statutory regulatory officials/stakeholders, passengers etc.
Here in Nigeria, it ends as a near miss reported on LindaBlog, VivianGist and Nairaland.
Tough, very tough to comprehend the country we live in! My thought exactly |

TheFatOne: I'm currently 30kg overweight and still adding. I just can't seem to resist food I know I'm going down a very unhealthy path but I can't help eating. Please has anyone been in this situation before and lost weight.
Please how can I overcome the temptation of overeating and lose the excess weight. I don't wanna suffer diabetes or hypertension neither do I wanna die of a heart attack. I'm only 22 years old.
. I already know of the calories consumed and calories burnt thing but I still end up over eating after attempting to count calories. Is there any product that has helped anyone here to lose weight quickly .?
Lalasticlala help me. What you have is eating disorder and it's a medical condition. There are different types such as anorexia. Look it up on the Internet and you might find some helpful hints |

Politics › Re: Learn About Screening Ministers, According To The Nigeria Constitution by journerman(m): 10:57pm On Oct 20, 2015 |
No offence, but I can't make sense out of this tinkinjow: section 147(6) empowers the President to ratify the nominees if the Senate fails to confirm them after 21 days of submission of their names to the Senate.
Not that simple.
My friend stop twisting facts, I'm no lawyer but law to a very large extent is a readable subject. The constitution did not say if the Senate fails to confirm just like that but if it fails to return the nominee - "....where no return has been received..." that ll imply for whatever reason the senate couldn't communicate its stand on any nominee to the president.
So in the event of a return being made, the nominee stands rejected and the president has no power at all other than send a new nominee. Simple. Why do I feel u r the one trying to confuse people here.
and on the issue of two consenting senators from a nominee state, whether that actually take place or not, when the senate returns a nominee, it does so as the Senate as a whole and not as two senators, especially where it is not explicitly stated (as i assume) what numbers is required to confirm a nominee. It ll be difficult to prove in court that a nominee was rejected by two senators except majority of them follow u to court or by signature. |

Is he saying that he didn't take into consideration his state's monthly income and that of Akwa Ibom. This is just like saying a man whose monthly or yearly income of 200k building a house of 3m because he saw his colleague whose income is 7m having that structure. And where did he say that the same amount was spent to build the Akwa Ibom govt house. That could cost over 10Billion naira for all we know |

But in Lagos state, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Ekiti and Osun states indegenes dominate government while Lagos indegenes are left to eat from the crumb that falls from their tables. What a deceipt, what a cheating and injustice being palpitrated under the guise of- Lagos is Yoruba land. Lagos indegenes wake up from this age-long deceit. Save your future from the hijackers.
