I was walking home from work when a friend called me with joyous tone that the tribunal has declared the pdp candidate for Osun Gubernatorial election winner. I asked what was the celebration all about he said he is now the governor na. I just called him "olodo and dropped the call.

Tribunal judgements since election cases gets to the Supreme Court has become mere academic exercise. After the 2015 governorship election, many candidates who lost the election went to court. Yours truly followed the cases of the then Rivers State Apc governorship candidate, Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside and Taraba State governorship candidate of the Apc Mrs Aisha Alhassan, (Mama Taraba).

These candidates won at the tribunal and the court of appeal but lost at the apex court. So what's the celebration all about? Adeleke and the PDP should not celebrate yet until this matter gets to the Supreme Court.

Well in this case it won't be that easy to upturn this judgement..... The judgment was based on technical anomaly on the pink form EC8A which was tampered with prior to the rerun.... So what will be the basis of going to the appeal court...the rerun was illegal.

In Rivers State, I think you will find that APC has taken most of the riverine areas and Ogoni. I dont have figures to prove but you just wait. PDP supporters should forget GEJ era. The distribution of Trader Moni, a no-interest loan scheme championed by the Nigerian government, was disrupted by violence on Tuesday.

During the distribution at Lafenwa Market in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Tuesday, trouble started when the traders were allegedly asked for their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) numbers in exchange for the no-interest loan.

The Nation newspaper reported that the market leaders, who led the distribution, were taken away by some persons, who were about 50 in number.

Members of the Abeokuta North West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) were accused of leading the hoodlums to hijack the process.

Monsuru Shorunke, Chairman of the LCDA, took responsibility for the action, stating that he had heard that some people came to the market to collect names of traders, including PVC numbers, in exchange for money.

He said: "We heard that some people came to Lafenwa Market, collected people's PVCs from the traders with their names and PVC numbers.

"Governor Ibinkunle said we should go out. It was Governor Amosun that sent us. I was in front of the Governor when we heard the Information. So, I collected Iyaloja's phone number from Akintona. We took Iyaloja to the Governor's house alongside the Babaloja of Lafenwa.

"We believed it was wrong for them to come and collect people's PVC with numbers before the election day. That was what they came to do at Lafenwa."

Facts: it was not inec that postponed that election..it was a general consensus of all stake holders including the military that agreed to shift the election due to security reasons and it was done 6 weeks before the election day proper...please let us always do a due diligence of our facts before coming to a pubic space...thank u
